Alán was amazing and experienced when it came to working on curly hair. He helped me feel beautiful for my wedding and I am beyond thankful for his attention to detail. Jenna was very nice and helped assist at times. Alán and Jenna are amazing additions to the team. ❤️

I was referred by friends to Michael & Michael and from the first appointment felt a great vibe. Special shout out to Javier! I feel like I have one of the best haircuts I've ever had. He takes time and listens and really cares about his work. He explains what he's doing and why and I really appreciate that! Thank you for taking great care and helping us feel our best selves! 🩵

This place is absolutely amazing!! In all my experiences of visiting salons Michael and Michael has the best staff ever!! They are amazing at what they do and listened to my needs. I am very happy with trusting Alexa with my color and Katarina with my habithair extensions! I applaud the owners for having a serene and peaceful environment!! The staff collabe with one another to make sure their clients are happy! Twenty years in Chicago and I finally have a colorist named Alexa that has given me the color I want!!!!!

I can’t recommend this salon enough! The vibe is immaculate & the staff are so friendly. I look forward to the days I get to sit in Heather’s chair for hours while she transforms my hair. Heather has taken me from bright ashy blonde, to brunette, sandy blonde, dimensional blonde, etc. I am every colorists worst nightmare and love to go back and forth with the seasons but Heather kills it every time. I feel so lucky I finally found a salon & colorist that I can fully trust with all this hair!

I've been seeing Katerina for most of the year and I'm absolutely obsessed! She's a miracle worker with my fine hair and always makes my extensions look seamless. She's super accommodating and always manages to squeeze me in when I need it.

It took me 6 years living in Chicago to find someone that could do rich, expensive looking blonde that actually went all the way to my roots (per my request). Finding Alexa at Michael and Michael was finally a godsend! I’m very picky and I’ve never been disappointed with her work. The salon also has an amazing selection of products, but no one ever pressures you to buy something. I highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to the salon for about a year, and did my first visit after another salon in the area had messed up my hair slightly. I was obviously nervous because of that experience at the other salon, so I was SO grateful when I was met at Michael & Michael with such care for others, their wants/needs, and desire to deliver exceptional service! Heather is the one who did my hair, and she is an absolute hair GODDESS! Since my first visit I have been seeing her consistently, and she always exceeds my expectations 😍 I would trust her with my life! I have naturally red-toned hair, and so I’m amazed at her talent and ability to always make me look amazing. I also truly believe that all of the colorists and stylists are extremely talented. Best salon in chi town!!

Amazing salon and I wouldn't go anywhere else! At 30 years old, I decided to color my hair for the first time. KP did a beautiful job and has been so patient with me and understanding of my low-maintenance hair life style :) The color always looks fabulous and everyone asks me where I get my hair done! It's always a treat to come here. And Katerina's haircuts are the bomb!

I’ve been getting my hair done by KP for almost 8 years now and she is the best. I followed her to M&M from her old salon and I’ve been going here ever since! this is my favorite salon in the city, hands down. It’s so nice inside and everyone there is so friendly and fun. They use all of the best products and my hair always ends up feeling amazing. I’ve gone from dark to light to red to blonde and everything in between and no matter the color, KP knocks it out of the park, every time.

Michael& Michael has had a grip on me for 17 years. At the ripe age of 15 my best friend and her mom brought me with to the salon for my first cut with Scott as he was training with Michael. I've moved to 4 different states since then and have never found another space that satisfies the welcoming, luxurious, friendly and the ever important finished product, the look, the same way. Let alone better than they do it. Everyone loves coming back because the staff make it feel like a home away from home where the goal is to make you look and feel like your best before releasing you back into the world. Much like Cheers, the salon has many familiar faces that have worked there for a long time with no plans to leave. They keep up with education and trends, but will always reccomend what is best based on your unique look and preference. I plan all of my trips back to Chicago with a stop to see Scott. Currently, that's with much love from Maui.

Micheal and Micheal makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. They have valet at the front and you’re greeted with smiles all around while being offered refreshments. Their waiting room? Immaculate. The lighting in there is amazing! They have a wide range of hair care items/brands for purchase such as Kevin Murphy and R+Co! A PLUS>> I’m almost positive every hairdresser here specializes in something different, so if you’re a blonde, you’ll be put with a blonde specialist! As far as my hair goes…I’m a dyed red head, it’s hard to get it right and boy did KP get it right…she SLAYED IT!! She also dyed my brows, which I have found some stylist are scared to do, not KP! She knew exactly what I wanted. After my color I was greeted by Erin! She did my cut and it’s probably one of my favorite haircuts I’ve ever had, not to mention one of the fastest too. They both made me feel so comfortable and welcoming. I definitely will be back and cannot wait to schedule my next appointment.

This is and always will be my go to hair salon. I have a lot of thick and curly 3A hair and they always provide me with the best hair services. From a perfect balayage with Heather to a beautiful hairstyle for my wedding day with Katerina and a perfect haircut from Javier. Everyone that has worked on my hair has been so kind and takes their time to make sure I’m in love with the results. This is one of those places I’d want to gate keep but can’t because of how awesome they are. 100000/10 recommend.

Heather is an amazing colorist! She totally gets it. I have natural looking highlights/lowlights in my long hair and my hair has never looked better! I just love the vibe of the salon! Highly recommend!

I have bee going to Michael and Michael for several years. The salon is a beautiful, art-influenced space, with a relaxing ambiance. Always busy! I found my own glam squad here: Katerina is the best when it comes to extensions and cuts; KP has mastered my signature cool brown color; and Alan is my go-to for shampoo and style (sometimes multiple visits per week!). Can’t wait for my next visit!

I have been going for years and years and have never had a disappointing haircut! I have 3A curls and thick hair, and have had the best treatment and hair products every time I go. Others friends and family have gotten coloring that looks beyond natural. Honestly, would recommend this place to any of my friends staying or visiting Chicago.

My hair Mecca! I've been seeing Katerina for 6 years and refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. The salon is gorgeous and everyone is so sweet - I had a scheduling conflict my last booking and was accidentally booked the same time as another client, they threw in complimentary services and products to make up for their mistake without me even asking. Professional & wonderful always. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new salon.
