Lon Myles does an excellent cut and blow dry. I have seen him for three years. He is well trained from NY City, talented and very knowledgeable.

I am not sure how the reviews came up with 5 stars. I live in California and was in need of a cut so I decided to try Michael's. He cut my hair dry which was a first and actually came out nice, if you are looking for a decent cut, you might try him. STAY AWAY from coloring or blow drying. As the latter, he doesn't even do. I came out looking like a skunk after he did the highlighting, it was terrible. Since he said he doesn't know how to blow dry and it was obvious he didn't when he attempted, I went home to do it myself. The color did not take completely and was orange at the roots. Never had an experience like that before. Would highly NOT recommend this salon to anyone.

I don't think this place is for the younger generation. They do great on my supervisor's hair, but I asked for an ombre and I got choppy highlights starting halfway down my head. Went back for a second try but still super unhappy. Also, this place is right next to an adult toy shop and the strip itself gives off a creepy vibe. I do not plan on returning... My lady meant well and was very pleasant, but is probably better with the older generations.

I have had TWO HORRIBLE experiences there so far. The first time was with Micheal Z himself...what a douche!!! It is a junky little salon in a junky little strip mall. I got a Groupon this time so I thought I would give it a second chance. Dawn Marie WAS AWFUL!! She canceled my appointment TWO TIMES..both with family illness excuses, so I was more than gracious considering she canceled them an hour before the appointment...or the morning of. When I finally do get my appointment, it was for 1:30. She is with another client until 1:50. Part of the time just talking..completely ignoring me. Then she went to go fix my dye I guess? She didn't tell me...just disappeared...I went and looked for her, it was past 2 by now, and I told her I had to leave for Tampa by 4,, she was very defensive and awful. Treated me like a second hand citizen..because of the Groupon maybe?? I am not this angry of a person, seriously...I am only writing this review to warn everyone else. I should have learned the first time. Michael Z himself was terrible. Dawn Marie was just as bad. The place is junky. My Moms hair turned out HORRIBLE the first time we went...but she got it done by Michael Z. Dawn Marie was so rude, I didn't even give her a chance..although she did tell me...AFTER SHE WAS LATE!! That she had to pick up her kid at 4???What??She had already told me a full highlight would be at least 2 hours....she didn't even start fixing my dye until after 2. Save yourself the hassle, there is a reason they do Groupons, that they are in a junky little mall....I hope you learn from my two time mistake. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

I've been going here for ages and have my hair cut by Michael Z! I always get a custom cut that gets tons of compliments for weeks afterwards that is completely effortless to style. The salon is beautiful, clean, and relaxing.
