I had an amazing experience with Anna at Midtown Curls! She did a fantastic job cutting my hair—it turned out even better than I imagined. I also tried her new scalp treatment, and it was so relaxing. My scalp feels incredibly refreshed and healthy after it. Highly recommend Anna for her talent and the care she puts into her work!

Unforgettable, incredible, and one of a kind!! This was my first ever experience at a curly focused salon and I will never go back! From the start I was greeted warmly and treated like family. Anna Harris was my master artist and that is exactly what I experienced! She is truly a master at her craft and an artist with her shears. We started with an in depth consultation to figure out exactly what I wanted & needed. Anna communicated with me clearly and thoroughly before any hair was cut, so I was confident that in the end I would be elated with the results. I did add on the 30 minute Deep Conditioning // Spa Mist Hair Facial and I never wanted it to end. Lizette talked me through the wash techniques and products and gave me such a lovely scalp massage that I almost snored! The entire experience was not only relaxing and refreshing but informative and inspiring. I never knew that I could love my hair so much until I turned and saw myself in the mirror. Midtown Curls is going to have me as a client for years to come!! Thank you so so much Anna, Lizette, and the whole team for creating the best salon experience I have had in my life. This has truly been the cherry on top of a beautiful birthday week! 💗

Getting my hair cut and colored by Anna was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I've had curly hair my whole life and honestly have always been a bit skeptical of curly cuts and being taught how to style my own hair. I was so so wrong. Anna gave me a cut that both works with my curls and is modern and stylish. She highlighted it just enough to enhance the curls, and she showed me what products to use to make my hair less frizzy, way softer and more shiny, and even curlier. I've never been so in love with my hair. I'm able to style it at home by myself, and I actually look forward to wash days now! I get multiple compliments literally every day, and I feel more like myself in a way I can't explain. It's just so nice to finally embrace and even love having curly hair. Crazy what a haircut can do for your self esteem and your life. Sooo grateful I found Anna and Midtown Curls! <3

I absolutely love this place! This is my second time seeing Ashley D and she’s fantastic! My favorite getaway is seeing her and what she accomplishes with my hair is truly magical. She takes the time to learn my curls and make sure I feel amazing when I leave her chair. Can’t wait to go back soon!

My first time going to a salon and stylist that specializes in curly hair. Alicia listened to my wants, needs, concerns and expectations and delivered!! Getting your haircut to accentuate and bring out your curls is a whole new world! My hair is not the same in the best way possible! I love the collaboration with Alicia and Anna to get the results that I wanted.

I was amazed by the personal service even though I was on a wait list. I was personally reached out to by Anna and was scheduled in the day I needed! I requested a wash and style. The wash itself was super relaxing and McKenna did an amazing job styling my hair to last! They were my heroes since I was to have my engagement photos the following day. As a curly girl, I will always recommend this place. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and will explain all the steps so you can get results at home as well!

Luci cut my daughter’s hair today and she did such an amazing job . She was so sweet and so helpful giving her tips to care for her curls . It was an amazing experience for my daughter . Also , all the other ladies in the salon were very sweet and attentive while we waited . Thank you so much !!

Wow! What a difference it makes when a stylist knows curly hair! I have struggled with my hair for years (I was either having my hair straightened or wearing it in a bun) and finally went in search of that expertise…and found it at Midtown Curls. Anna was amazing, she really listened to what I wanted to achieve with my hair and then made it happen. Not only was the cut absolute perfection but the in-depth instruction of what products to use and how to wash and dry my hair was invaluable. I am now a life-time devotee of Anna and Midtown Curls! For some reason, after radiation, my hair became curly. After years of trying to "fix" it, my hairdresser referred me here to receive a cut and "embrace" it. I usually hate having my hair done, but Anna taught me how to wash it, dry it and style it. And the cut I received is perfect. It's so much easier than I thought it would be and attainable at home. Anna and the staff are thoughtful, understanding and Kind. Love it!!

I LOVED my whole experience with Anna and her team. I have been on a journey to KNOW myself more and more, and learning my curls was such a lovely addition to my adventure. I truly felt educated, supported, and seen in ways I didn’t realize my curls needed. Seriously, if you have curly or wavy hair, I recommend going here! They take care of you honestly and the products are CLEAN and very affordable (which shocked me!) I love knowing my body more. And trusting the tender hands of those who want to support those of us coming to know and love our bodies! Highly highly recommend.

I always love going to Midtown Curls to get my hair done. The girls are all so talented and friendly. I always leave there feeling so happy with my new hair. The last time I was there I just got a hair cut. Anna listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly that. I always enjoy getting my hair washed with the inner sense product because my hair always feels that much healthier when I leave there, the head massage is also super relaxing. I can’t wait until the next time I go in. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, new hair cut delivered by some of the best in the area.

It was honestly really nice. I’ve never really felt good about a haircut so I grew my hair out to avoid getting it cut. Julie was kind and helpful with helping me achieve the look I wanted and was happy to teach me how to take better care of my hair. She explained everything before doing it which made me comfortable when it came to actually cutting my hair. It was a very nice experience overall :)

So, I walked into Midtown Curls with dry, damaged frizzy hair , Limp from triple digit heat ! I walked out with amazing healthy hair sporting waves that I had almost forgotten existed ! Loving thanks to Anna and her wonderful staff! I couldn’t be more pleased!

Excellent atmosphere, excellent customer service. Misleading service packages. I set up an appointment for the Level 1 cut, I was really excited to learn how to work with my natural wavy curls and get a SPECTACULAR haircut for $150. I was not under the impression they only do one type of curl. I wanted curls that fit my look, my face, etc and a cut that would shape my face nicely. I don’t want what everyone else has. What I got was a haircut I didn’t ask for and the same exact curls as the ones my daughter got. While I was happy to learn how to manage my hair and whatnot, I am NOT happy I spent so much on a haircut I’m actually hiding. I wear my hair up now and that sucks too because the way she cut it makes the ponytail or bun look really messed up. She invited me back to fix it and it still doesn’t look like a $150 haircut. I could’ve saved over $100 and a lot of time by going somewhere else and getting the same mediocre haircut. But i didn’t want a mediocre haircut. I was thinking for that kind of money I would be AMAZED at the results. Now I feel duped. If you want exactly the same curls as everyone else, I would recommend. If you’re looking for a haircut with wow factor, save your money.

Haircut was ok, but they make canceling appointments very difficult. You can make the appointment online and the app they use also supports cancelling appointments but they have it "turned off", so in order to cancel you must call. When I called (after getting sent to voicemail many times, during working hours) they repeatedly asked if I would like to cancel or reschedule and when I told them I just wanted to cancel, they asked why and if I was sure that I didn't want to reschedule. Again, service and haircuts were okay while I was there, but the cancellation process for appointments was a big hassle and I did not enjoy being pressured into rescheduling instead of my previous choice.

I want to preface this and say that I have had 3 haircuts at midtown curls. The first haircut was exactly what I wanted and I loooved my hair. The hairstylist I initially went to moved to a different salon and so I decided to go to another stylist. I went to Julie for the two other haircuts and the last cut she cut my hair 4 inches shorter than what I had asked. I wanted shoulder length hair and I had my hair to right below my ears after the haircut. I was not happy, but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt. I have a “it is what it is” attitude so I tried to look at the benefits of this new style I was given. At the end I went to pay for my haircut and she did not tell me there was an automatic gratuity applied at checkout and I had already tipped her cash and she kind of just shrugged it off and laughed it off. It was very awkward and honestly I felt defeated, so I did not even want to ask for the cash tip back. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had at a salon. This was several months ago and thankfully my hair grows fast but I was really dissatisfied with my last haircut. I waited some time to post this review so I could have a level head about the situation, least to say I will not be going back.

I booked with Anna to have my hair bleached from red box dye to blonde. I love the color! She managed to transition my hair beautifully into a bright blonde, and my hair has felt healthier after being seen - I was expecting it to be fried after being bleached. As someone with fine/low density curly hair, I haven’t always had good experiences with salons that follow “the curly girl method” or similar strategies. Anna listened to my concerns and worked with my hair type. The whole experience was excellent, all of the stylists I met while at the salon were super kind and encouraging. I’m so grateful :)

What a fantastic first appt. hair experience I enjoyed at Midtown Curls. Fortunately, I was able to schedule the appointment right away as my hair was a dry, limp mess in need of styling and color. The spa is beautiful, clean and welcoming. I was offered a glass of wine as I was waiting a few minutes for my hair therapist, Ashley. Ashley is a curl expert! She styled and cut my hair perfectly. My natural curls are restored and may hair is a beautiful blond/light ash again. She explained products and care and “feeding” of my curly hair. I am thoroughly pleased and highly recommend Midtown Curls and Ashley.

I had an appointment with Ashley, the haircut is not bad, but it was way way shorter than I communicated. At the salon i was happy because i hadnt realized how short it actually was till I got home. Initially I told her to not it shorter than my collar bones, she asked me if I wanted to maintain my length i saud YES. and she showed me the cut and she had cut off all my length. The back of my hair looked like a weird tail so I told her to cut more off so it wouldn't look funny. I wish she would have communicated better before she cut several inches off my hair in the beginning. I'm very sad because half of my hair is gone now. Unfortunately I won't be coming back because of this. The haircut was 85$. The communication needs to be better before cutting of several inches of someone's hair!

I just wanted to share my most recent experience with Anna at Midtown Curls! I’ve been with Anna for a couple years now, but most recently I did the biggest chop I have ever done in my 44 years of living. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do the cut she did. It was it a decision I made when I walked through the door and it was extreme. I am so grateful and so thankful that I did it but more importantly that I did it with Anna! She sits with you, she listens and she makes sure that you are 100%, on the decision you are about make. It’s been two weeks today, and I am still head over heels for my haircut! Go check her out! Wow! What an excellent all around experience I had at Midtown Curls. I’m 48 with tight spiral curls and have never been so happy with them. I felt at home and well taken care of the entire time and now I’m finally learning how to take care of my curls. I highly recommend Anna and her team - you will be happier than you can imagine.

If you have 3a type hair or up i wouldnt put my full trust in this salon. Or at least not with their stylist julie. My brother came in for a cut and unfortunately we think julie did not fully understand his expectations for his cut. Prior to this encounter with Julie his sides were faded with a pretty long 3c-4a mop on top. It was a bit bushy on the sides for his liking so he asked if they could thin it out (essentially layer it). But unfortunately she cut the back and sides of his head so short and left it really long in the front in attempt to “push it forward”. The picture she showed him for reference wasnt even a person with his hair type and fully disregarded what he asked for. It looks as if she placed a bowl onto his head and just started cutting. I believe she knew she messed up due to her offering to comp his entire appointment, but i also believe that a stylist should know their limits for what they are able to offer and achieve, especially when advertising as curly hair specialist.. If youre not confident or comfortable enough with a certain style, cut or hair texture please let the client know so they can find someone who can achieve the look theyre going for

Update: I have been coming to Anna for 5 years now and it has without exaggeration been life changing. I always thought going to a salon was just supposed to be miserable for those of us with curly hair. Boy did she show me a whole new world. She recently prioritized getting me in to help me with my horrendous post-partum hair. Not only did she fit me in when she didn't have to, but she encouraged me to bring my new baby so I didn't have to chose between some self-care and being with my newborn. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Anna💕 Can't say enough great things!
