I have loved both my experiences here! Amber is AMAZING and always brings my vision to life, as well as offers great prices. I always have a great time and am excited I have finally found a salon after going to many different ones in the city. Evangeline at the front desk is always wonderful to interact with. I can’t wait to come back- they play good music as well as there is a positive and upbeat energy from all the staff!

Went for the first time as a walk in and received the worst hair cut I have ever received. I didn’t notice the full extent of how bad it was until I showered and tried to style my hair the next day when I discovered just how uneven my fade was and uncut hair around my ears. I went back the next day and had another stylist/barber fix it as best they could. I would have left a 1 star review based on the original cut but how they handled my complaint raised it a few stars. If you go here, ask for any stylist other than Mary and you should have a good experience.

I am a long time customer of Colleen’s. She recently made her home base Milios. Let me tell you she has fixed my hair so many times. From purple to red to purple to black back to purple she can do it all. Photos are all Colleen’s work! Book with her but don’t take my spot!

I’ve been looking for a go to salon since I moved to Chicago and I’m so happy I found Milio’s Hair Studio. Mary was my stylist and she was so great to work with. I asked for layers and after a brief consultation and wash, I received one of my favorite haircuts ever! I’m very content with how my haircut and style turned out. I would definitely recommend them!

My first haircut here was great, so I am so sad to be writing this review. I have never left a bad review before and never thought I would — but I was left with an uneven cut and after reaching out, explaining what I was looking for, listing my availability and sending photos, I haven’t heard back in 2 days. I have attached photos of the haircut, and a couple of the comments I’ve gotten on it (including one from my former roommate, who is a cosmetologist). I understand things happen, but I got my hair done for a wedding, and it was unfortunate to spend it with people telling me my hair looks bad. I only wanted them to fix it but this point I think a refund is warranted.

Ryan was awesome! I have super fine hair and he was able to explain what would work best for my hair type. It turned out great, I highly recommend him. All of the staff is super friendly as well.

Can I just say I’m obsessed with my haircut. 100000/10 for Ryan, he did such an amazing job I couldn’t be any happier. My future business will go to him. I showed him my inspiration picture which was a long layered haircut with face framing features and he knocked it out of the park. I’m so happy with my experience, Ryan gave me the best and happiest outcome. Will definitely be back! Thank you!!

I have loved Milios for years, now is no exception. My stylist, Nicholas, really listened to what I wanted, and gave me great input. He ended giving me a short haircut I'd gotten many years ago and had been unsuccessfully trying to repeat since. He was also a delight to talk to! I am absolutely thrilled, even a few weeks later, and will definitely book with him again.

This was a great experience! Amber was helpful and open to new ideas and had wonderful suggestions for the hairstyle I was going for! Not only that, it came out so perfect, I couldn't be happier! It was also super LGBT friendly so I felt unjudged and comfortable here! I definitely found a new regular Studio!

Truly excellent. I have lived in Chicago 10+ years and this was by far the best hair cut experience! Ryan was very nice, personable, and actually listened to what I wanted. Definitely will be going again!

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2023 and am going through chemotherapy. I decided to shave my head as my hair started to fall out. I explained what I wanted and my stylist was so kind and patient throughout the whole process. I really appreciated her professionalism and warmth during the cut, checking in with me throughout. Milio’s always offers great service, but this went above and beyond. And she wouldn’t even let me pay for the cut. Amazing staff and their kindness made the experience great.

I have gone to Milio’s for years and always have had a wonderful experience. The space is beautiful and overlooks the Belmont L stop. There is always a warm, fun, relaxed atmosphere. In the past I had only booked haircuts at Milio’s, but I went in for a cut and balayage yesterday and had a phenomenal experience. Keira was my stylist, and she asked extremely thoughtful questions to make sure we were on the same page throughout. She was very funny, kind, creative, and detailed. Her work is absolute art! Would absolutely recommend Milio’s and Keira to anyone looking for a salon and stylist.
