I got a fade and line up by Rhiannon, she was very polite and friendly. She made sure I was happy with my cut and sold me some shampoo and conditioner for my dry hair. 10/10

Nobody beats Chelsea. Quality of services and quality of products are top notch! I’ve done everything over the years…extensions, balayage, brown to blonde, brown to black, black to brown and every time it’s long lasting color that doesn’t fade away and doesn’t damage fine hair.

I LOVE this place and Rhiannon is an absolute gem! She has been doing my extensions for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results every time. Recently, she highlighted my hair blonde, and it turned out better than I could have imagined! The color is flawless and looks so natural. Rhiannon's attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything is perfect is unmatched. She listens to what you want and brings it to life effortlessly. On top of that, she’s so friendly and makes every appointment a great experience. I always leave feeling confident and beautiful! Highly recommend!!!

This place will try its best to say it’s “luxury” but I can’t find the luxury part. This coming from a former hairstylist who retired there was nothing that was special to me about the products or services provided. I think the whole “luxury “ is just to overcharge its customers . I get a hair stylist has to make their money but I believe in full transparency and like the other reviews said you won’t know the price till the end .

Chelsea is really sweet, and even though my experience at Milla the Salon was not exactly what I wanted—due to a lot of miscommunication and back and forth confusion, Chelsea was reasonable and understanding. Things did not plan out how we initially discussed during our consultation due to an error with my hair order, but she compromised and remained available to discuss the matter at all times. It's a pity things couldn't work out how we initially planned, but I am happy that we came to a solution that was reasonable. The salon's cool, minimalist aesthetic is what initially drew me to the place, and I do believe that Chelsea would have done a great job on my hair if I was able to get serviced. I did notice that the customizable experience with hair extensions does result in charges starting to collectively add up to a lot, but all is communicated.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was impressed by the salon's chic, contemporary vibe and the warm welcome from the staff. The atmosphere at Milla The Salon is both relaxing and vibrant, making it a true pleasure to spend time there. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was comfortable and enjoyable. Plus, the salon uses high-quality products that left my hair feeling and looking fabulous. I can’t recommend Milla The Salon enough. Whether you’re a local or just passing through North Park, this salon is a gem. I’ll definitely be back!

I had called the salon asking for Rhiannon to cut my hair for the $70 price I saw on the website and the owner Chelsea said that she was not available but would cut my hair herself, so I made the appointment. After my haircut (cutting an inch of my thin, fine hair) and just blow drying it without styling, I was stunned to hear the total for my service before tip was $200. I understand you are the owner and you may believe you can charge whatever based off your “experience” but you need to disclose this over the phone, especially given it’s almost 3x the amount that the other stylist charges. The hair looks great and I’m happy with my results, but based on my experience I will never be returning. Chelsea, you are losing out on repeat customers based on your inability to be upfront and transparent with your insane prices. After spending $240 after tipping for a hair trim, I feel robbed and confused.

Edit: the entire service cost $220. I was quoted lower but after come clarification due to the deposit and service costs the total was $220. Rhiannon is that girl!!! I did a bad diy job at home and this girl SAVED me! She was so helpful and best of all, did not judge me for trying to save a buck and do my own hair. She found a great toner for me and did a root smudge and it came out amazing. I was first quoted $120 but came out to $160 but still not a bad price point for the quality and results! Book her now!!

SUPER DISSATISFIED WITH THIS SALON. Chelsea was not clear on the hair extension move up details and was not willing to comply to get things right. I was overcharged for a service that wasn't clearly set expectations on and her pushback was to check out prices for services on the website (in which there are NO clear guidelines). Take your business elsewhere. To add to this, my service took 15 minutes, the extension move up would normally last 6-7 weeks had I gone anywhere else for $200, and she is too lazy to get things right. After the fact when I sent her a photo of my extension popping out in the front and claiming I can already fit three fingers between the extension and my scalp, she said it was because this only lasts 3 weeks. I was OVERCHARGED and NOT INFORMED of how long this extension move up would last. I feel nickel and dimed for a poor service and Chelsea had no empathy.

Booked a haircut with Jenny and had a great experience . I was offered a cocktail or coffee with a smile right when I got in the door. I went in for a haircut and typically have trouble describing what I really want. Jenny asked me what I wanted and described back to me what she was going to do to make sure we were on the same page. She seemed to really want to make sure I left happy with my hair. As a result, I did! Loved the cut and will be back soon. Thanks Jenny!!!

I am sad to write this review, because the hairdresser Jenny was amazing, I am satisfied with her work. However, when choosing this place, keep in mind that the prices posted on their website are not real, they can raise the price if they want, as happened to me (maybe because I'm a foreigner?). Even when I sent them photos with the price indicated on the page, I got "we apologize for the confusion", but not the refund. They offered to refund the hairdresser's tip, which I think is unfair and disgusting because the hairdresser really did an amazing job and this payment situation is not her fault.

I discovered this salon through Jenny Low, who was promoting discounted hair services on Facebook. I have been wanting to go blonde (from light brunette) for some time now so I reached out. We started talking via messenger and she was quick to respond and easy to schedule with. I sent photos of what I was interested in and she said the price would be $195. She disclosed that she had just graduated her program but was confident she could do the color I wanted. The next day she messaged me and apologized and stated the salon owner wanted $255 for the service - still not bad for going blonde, so I set an appointment. Before the appointment I get a message saying we might not be able to go as light as I want but guaranteed it wouldn't be over $300. I was starting to get skeptical but agreed to come in for a consultation. The salon was nice, the coffee they offered me was good, and the snacks were a nice touch...but those are the only good things I can say about this salon. I was in the chair for 7 hours and my hair was nearly ruined. I was charged over $400 and when I asked if I could just pay for the product as I was incredibly dissatisfied with the result the owner told me they had a no refund policy. They offered to let me come in again and pay another $500 to have them fix my hair. When I said that was not an option for me they said they would remove the toner for free but my hair would be orange. It wasn't even necessarily the color I was upset about - it was the streaky/blocky lines of bleach in my hair. I was so embarrassed. I went back and forth with them and they refused to refund me. Jenny messaged me and apologized and said she wanted to do something but it was the salon owner's policy. The salon owner defended herself saying Jenny is a new stylist which I understand but stand by your salon and the image you portray by letting a client leave in tears with their hair destroyed. I was lucky enough to find an artist to fix my hair. She was so shocked when she saw what Jenny did and even asked for the salons number to reach out as a fellow stylist and tell them it was unfair what they did and I should not have been charged. They did not respond to her and Jenny and the salon blocked me on social media. All I want is for this salon to do the right thing. I have offered to pay for the product and am just asking for a refund for the service. It is heartbreaking that I had to go to another salon and pay for my hair to be fixed. I am shocked that they lack simple compassion... The attached photos are what I started with and what I left the salon with.

I found Jenny Low when she was still at cosmetology school. She gave me a trim and died my hair. Jenny made me feel comfortable and confident when I sat in her chair. She was not afraid to ask questions and confirm I was given the services I wanted. I continued to see her throughout her schooling and then found her again at her new salon. I will continue to follow Jenny wherever she goes because I want to keep going back to her! She is a stylist that wants you to love your hair as much as she loves doing your hair. Plus.. she always hypes me up about my hair (even my grays… she calls them silver tinsel). I find that rebooking with jenny, a stylist that is passionate and willing to learn your likes/dislikes, is beneficial to my hair’s health. And she can always tell when I trim my hair in between cuts. It’s like she knows my hair as a separate being. Thanks Jenny! See you next time!!

Chelsea is an absolutely wonderful salon owner and stylist. She is incredibly talented, experienced, and will always make sure you’re happy with your hair and that you look and feel your best. I have gone to her for years now and won’t trust anyone else with my hair! I am naturally brunette and she has taken me from blonde to brown to bronde and back while keeping the integrity of my hair. Her extensions are great because she will not only color match them, but will also match the texture for you. I get so many compliments on my hair and no one knows I have extensions in!

Not only is this salon stunning, but Chelsea gave my mother the most beautiful haircut. She was so kind and thorough when it came to listening to her needs and maintenance. On Tuesday of last week, I booked an appointment for that upcoming Friday, October 4th at 2:00PM with Chelsea through Vagaro for extensions and a haircut. Chelsea emailed me the following day to inform me a consultation was needed first in regards to the extensions. I immediately messaged back letting her know that I'd already purchased several wefts through Glamseamless but probably needed a few more and that I wanted to go ahead and change the booking to the recommended consultation. I never heard back. So a short while later that evening, I reached out again and tried to make contact multiple times, including sending emails to two different accounts listed on online with Vagaro and Yelp/Google. I stressed that I had attempted to cancel the appointment through Vagaro but was experiencing issues and asked that it be taken care of from the salon's end. Still no response. I started to get stressed on Wednesday because of the 72hr cancellation policy associated with Vagaro bookings so I hastily reached out three more times, hastily stressing my desire to cancel the appointment and rebook as a consult. At this point, my appointment had not been "accepted" through Vagaro and I assumed, rather ignorantly and incorrectly I'd soon find out, that Chelsea had gotten at least one of all the correspondences coming from my end and I had nothing to worry about. WRONG. OH SO, SO WRONG. I awoke Saturday morning to find on Friday, at 12:30, a bit more than just ONE HOUR PRIOR to my appointment, Chelsea had accepted the booking through Vagaro and I was charged $332. After DAYS and DAYS of cancellation requests, messages and messages on top of messages, Chelsea waited until the last absolute instant before the appointment to accept the booking despite the initial booking request being sent FOUR days prior, my begging to have it cancelled and her having to undoubtedly known I'd be charged in conjunction with Vagaro's policy hence she pocketing an extremely easy $332 for nothing more than doing a potential new client, random stranger to her, so horribly wrong. To say I am upset is an understatement. I am astonished at the immorality and unprofessionalism stemming from all of this. I've asked for a full refund but don't have too much faith given the experience so far.

Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. When I first moved to San Diego two years ago I did my research and found Chelsea. I have never had a problem with my cut or my hair colour and let me tell you I had problems in the past. She is professional, amazing and does quality work. Invest in your hair ladies, my hair feels and always looks healthy because of Chelsea !

I love Chelsea!! She knows exactly what looks good on you and knows how to do the perfect blended balayage and it is not easy to find someone who can do this well! It’s so rare to find someone who is an EXPERT at extensions, cut, AND color. I first found Chelsea through IG @chelsearose.glam over 2 years ago and since then, she became my go to stylist. Even when I don’t know what I want, she’ll create the perfect tone to suit my looks. Most of all, she’s literally the sweetest human. She remembers little details from our convos and getting my hair done feels like therapy LOL. I always leave feeling like a brand new person!! I don’t even live in San Diego anymore, but I make sure to book an appointment with her (IN ADVANCE) every time I’m in town. HUGE THANK YOU FOR THE COLOR CORRECTION. TLDR if you’re reading this just do yourself a favor and book an appointment with her :)
