I go to Emily to get my hair cut and colored and she does amazing work. I'm indecisive, so having someone I can trust to understand what I'm looking for (even when I don't) is literally priceless. Also, this salon is quite cute, they always take the time to offer a snack or a drink when I come in, and I've always had positive interactions with the staff. I definitely recommend this place (and Emily) to anyone looking for a new stylist.

Amazing salon. Miriam’s level of experience is top notch. So far, she has been the only person who is able to do exactly the type of hairstyles and color that I request. The prices here are on par with other salons, and the quality of service is better. The products that the salon recommends are also great.

Great experience! Emily did an amazing balayage and was so fun to chat with during my service. I went in a little over a month ago and wanted a very natural look that was low maintenance and would grow out well and so far it still looks great!

Victoria and the staff here are AMAZING!! I’ve been looking for a hairstylist in Tucson that could work with my darker hair and Victoria exceeded my expectations. She took the time to get exactly what I wanted. Not only is she so talented but she is also funny and nice, and so easy to talk to. Will definitely be going back to her!! *The picture doesn’t even do it justice.. I haven’t had the time to get a good picture of my hair 😭

*Read This Review* long but worth it. I want to start by saying I RARELY write reviews which is hypocritical because I will never buy a product or visit a place before reading reviews. 😂 I found this place just by looking on Google and read reviews about Victoria so the reviews are why I scheduled my appt. with her but let me tell you why Victoria is the reason I will be getting my hair done only by her from now on. Yrs. ago I had a bad experience where the man botched my hair cut so bad, even if I wore a ponytail, you could tell. I know, bad right? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ After that I found a wonderful woman who fixed it and then she disappeared so I never went back to another stylist to do my hair and that was over 20yrs ago. Fast forward to yesterday, I told Victoria my concerns from that experience and not only was she empathetic but she assured me she understood my concerns and actually listened to what I wanted and DIDN’T cut more than I wanted. Which if you know, you know, not every stylist listens to that request. I asked for her advice on the color I wanted and whether or not it would look good for my skin color. She gave me great feedback and advice which I took and went with her recommendation which was to do the color I wanted but not any highlights right now and I agree that was the best decision. As if her decades of experience doing hair and wonderfully gentle feedback wasn’t enough, while she’s doing your hair, she’s explaining and educating you on why she’s cutting it the way she is, she also anticipated my future needs. For example when I mentioned I’m not a “girly girl” and don’t ever get my hair done regularly she made sure to pick a low maintenance hair style that would be easy to keep up with. Her energy, very personable down to earth personality, experience and gentle hands really made this a wonderful experience for me so much that I will ONLY be going back to her from now on. Trust is not easily earned with me so I’m impressed that she compelled me to not only look forward to regularly maintaining coloring my hair but to actually write a review too. 😂 That’s not an easy feat. Also I went to the mall immediately after my appt. and got my 3rd compliment by a stranger about how beautiful my hair looked. If you were on the fence as to whether or not you should go to MOA Meraz, let me help knock you off that fence. The establishment itself is so clean and they’re very attentive. They kept asking if we needed anything to drink and to let them know if we needed anything. So Victoria is wonderful but the whole staff also made us feel welcome and like we matter and the price was definitely a good deal. Thank you MOA Meraz and especially Victoria. 😊

I’m probably one of the more difficult clients for any stylist. I can never decide what I want. The styles I like never seem to suit me. Emily (and Miriam) are great at finding what looks great and is easy for me to manage! A top-notch salon with caring, knowledgeable professionals!

I had an amazing experience with Emily Murtaugh, she does a fantastic job at everything from cutting hair, coloring, and even her blow dry skills are AMAZING. She is an absolute sweetheart as well. Every time I go to get my hair done, its like having a spa day. I would recommend Emily 100%.

I have been going to Victoria at MOA for a couple years now. Before meeting Victoria, I had major trust issues with my hair and had never found a stylist who I could stick with for more than two appointments. I had stylists cut 6” more hair than they said they would, refuse to cut layers, and take other liberties with my hair without telling me they were going to do it. Victoria is the exact opposite. She always delivers exactly what I want, tells me accurately how much she is going to cut off, and on top of that, she is so sweet and always makes me feel comfortable. I am so grateful to have found her and cannot imagine ever going to anyone else. I also have a sulfate sensitivity and Victoria has sulfate-free products that she uses for me. MOA Meraz is a nice, bright, fresh salon with great stylists, great products, and great energy.

I randomly looked up on apple maps a hair salon near me and I was blessed with Brenda at this location. She was the sweetest person ever and took great care of me and recommended tips and tricks to help me get my hair to where I need it to be to healthy! She is an icon i adore her. The person who helped me book an appointment on the phone was so helpful and kind which made it so much easier to book. Will for sure be coming back and recommending Brenda to everyone I know!!

I'm looking for consistency. Reasonably priced. Someone I don't have to tell how to do my hair or what would be beautiful. MOA has it all. Victoria is so amazingly talented. I found her name on a site of a place she use to work. (Who I use to go to, but their prices were to high and the front desk was unprofessional). So I went online made an appointment for a consultation along with a note saying if I agreed to pricing and what needs to be done if she was free (Victoria) I would stay. I showed Victoria pictures of my hair in the past. She gave me her ideas. I said if she was free can she do it now. And poof I was transformed. If you have any doubts about changing your hair dresser to MOA do it!! Here is what you will experience. You walk in the door. A young man greets you. He puts you into the computer and offers you something to drink. This young man cleans, picks up, greets, and charges throughout your stay. I have not seen this kind of work ethic in a very LONG time. Service with a smile , manners and always doing something. The other girls are busy with their clientele but all are happy and polite. I love the vibe I got when I walked in. The music playing is so good. I think I busted out in song twice (and I'm 64). Victoria cut, did some highlighting and it didn't take forever. Victoria is nice, smart, she listens to what you say and is skilled in cutting and coloring of hair (she sings pretty good too!). I will be back.

If you are looking for the best balayage in Tucson, you are looking in the right place. I trust Victoria with my whole “hair” heart, and only Victoria. She is AMAZING. For someone who remembers getting highlights every month when I was younger, only for it to grow out two weeks later, she has it perfected to where I only need to go in TWICE A YEAR. BUT, she gives the best massages, so I book my haircuts separately so I can go back for her magical hands. MOA has a super cute vibe and I will come from anywhere in the country to get my hair done (that is not an exaggeration). My mom booked with her and wanted a “bold red” look, and Victoria knew exactly what to do! My mom loved it! Book Victoria without any hesitation. She is incredible.

This was my first visit and I am glad I found this salon. They were very welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. Victoria made sure she understood what I wanted and told me the steps she needed to do to achieve the color I desired. Was lucky enough to have Emily M cut my hair. She did an incredible job. Her head massage was wonderful and I haven’t looked this good in years. I am starting to thin up top too.. yet she made me feel like it wasn’t too bad of a deal.. made me feel great. I am confidently walking around now. Make that girl the boss. Goo big em dog.
