Back in mid May, I gave the salon owner, Frankie, $500 as a down payment for an apprenticeship with him at the salon, which I was supposed to start July 23rd at 11am. He never showed, he never called, and he never returned my calls or messages. As of today, July 29th, I still have not heard a word from him, despite several attempts on my end. I went to the salon the day after my apprenticeship, and discovered he had never even completed, let alone sent in my apprenticeship application to the state board, even though he told me had done so. Frankie may be talented behind the chair (on the rare occasions he actually shows up to work), but he is a garbage person. Not to mention a scam artist, a liar and a thief.

Prepaid for a chemical service to come back for completion after a week. Color then Keratin treatment. After I made an appointment with the owner "Frankie" and arrived on time, he went out of business. I am owed money back and the owner is ghosting me. Bad business practice. Extremely disappointed and taken advantage of. New location 1040 Bustleton Pike. Stay away.

Hey y'all 3 months ago there was an event. It was the female of freestyle at Aldephia night club in Deptford Pa. So i talked to someone on Instagram a guy who used to work at Mob Salon he refered me to a guy name frankie who works at Mob Salon on Bustleton Avenue. I think he's the owner. Anyway there was a guy name Miso who did my hair exactly how i wanted it. He did it so well. He was very professional hair dresser. Unfortunately he doesn't work there anymore. He was a nice guy. Very well cool and very respectful human being. I miss him. Anyway i just got tired of going to Hair Cuttery. They don't do my hair right. I keep coming back to Mob Salon because i like braids & extensions. Also i love all styles of braids. I'm going there again this Friday i made an appointment. Hope my hair comes out fantastic😘💋

I am never one to complain, but my experience at MOB was less than desirable. It was especially upsetting because I recommended this to my girlfriend who came with me and had her hair fried. Long story short we got the keratin smoothing treatment and after we were able to wash our hair, we came to the realization that the treatment we both paid a lot of money for did nothing to our hair and in fact damaged both of our hairs. I called Frankie to explain our situation and had to visit three separate times to track him down. After meeting with Frankie, he was very apologetic and agreed to refund me the $260 I spent on my treatment to which of course I was very pleased. A week later, much to my dismay, I noticed on my bank statement that I was not credited but was again DEBITED another $260. So now instead of being refunded $260, I have been charged $260 TWICE. A few days later I was credited for the second $260, still not receiving credit for the original $260. Calls to Frankie went unreturned which was very upsetting to me. I called him multiple times with during posted normal business hours with no answer. I stopped by two times, the second time with my bank statement to show him that I was debited twice...and he was not there. Left my bank statement in the mail slot. That was almost two weeks ago and not even a call from Frankie. I called my bank to resolve this matter and hopefully I will be able to get my money back from my bank's Fraud Unit. Very upsetting and would not recommend the salon.

Miso is the best hair ARTIST and the only person I will let touch my hair, I highly recommend him to everyone. It has been a long time coming looking for an artist I trust and after a year of no disappointments, I will not go anywhere else.

Most Philly salons charge you $40-$70 for a haircut. Only paid $20 (including tip) to get my hair cut by Miso and I love the outcome. Very friendly environment, I highly recommend.

Randomly found the salon on google while searching where I should go to get my hair done. Usually I stick to local salons(I live in jersey),but decided to take a chance by going to Philly. The salon was able to take my mom and I on a Saturday with no problem. My moms hair turned out beautifully. As for me,I Had ombré in my hair (always wanted more platinum blonde than yellowish -which kept happening),Miso was able to surpass all of my expectations. He did an amazing job with a baylage. I’m in love with my hair!!! Thank you Miso

Scam! I purchased a $251 Groupon for a package of 3 keratin hair smoothing treatments at MOB Salon. I called to schedule an appointment and the owner, Frankie, advised me to cancel the Groupon and buy it through the salon. I followed his recommendations and went in for my appointment. Frankie did the keratin on me. He said with my hair I should get the more expensive treatment package $425 for 3 keratin treatments and if it didn't work I could have a touch up free of charge. I was told this would eliminate all of my curl and fizz. I have had many Keratins before that were all successful. The first time I washed my hair after this treatment my hair went back to being frizzy and curly, like nothing happened. A few days later I texted the owner (he provided the number) to request a touch up and he asked when I would like to come in. I gave a few dates and he did not respond until A few days later to apologize for the delay. Again he asked when I could come in and when I replied he did not respond. After not hearing a response I waited a few more days and asked if he had time to check his schedule and he did not reply. During this time. I called the salon during their posted business hours and left several messages without a single call back. I texted again a few days later and finally was told I could come in the following night at 6PM. I was asked to Venmo money to the salon to secure my appointment. I was told this was for the formula, despite being told this is free of charge, and that I would have this discounted at my next appointment. I sent a payment for $100 in addition to the charge I already paid because I was told this was a requirement for extra product. I showed up for my 6 PM appointment the following day and nobody was there, the door was locked and the salon was closed. The salon is advertised open until 9PM for that day. I called and the phone went straight to their voicemail. I texted saying I'm here and left voice messages. It's been 3 months and I haven't heard a peep from them. I have never had a problem with the keratin treatment before. I requested a refund through Venmo and he declined it. I have not been refunded. I have paid several hundred dollars for a service that does not work.

I had a great first time experience here. Definitely ask for Miso! He was very professional and attentive to what I needed. Will be coming back in a couple of months for another trim and maybe a color!

I just left the salon not too long ago and Miso did my hair. Can I just say that I love my hair! From Asian dark roots with purple ends to a complete blonde makeover! I am in love!!! I would totally recommend!

I started coming here when they were located in the Sears parking lot (they have recently moved to the Bustleton and Rhawn area) and I still to this day have not received a bad hair cut. In the beginning I would just get my basic 0, 1 or 2 all the way around because I'm just use to shaving my head myself all the time but I figured since I'm getting older (29) I should start doing my hair in a more professional manner. I would look up pictures and find names of the different hair styles and explain how I would want it and they nail it every single time. If your looking for a new salon to get a hair cut I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 times.

I will no longer go to Mob hair Salon They are very unprofessional. I had an appointment Saturday at 9 o'clock and no one was there. At 10am some female open the door.I ask her if Jesse was coming in she had no idea who he was. I had an appointment with Jessie she told me Jesse was no longer there. I Ask tor since went she said since last week. No one call me to tell me about my appointment that was cancel she made no attempt to find out who was going to do my hair or who was coming in she just sat on the phone making personal calls. I walked out the door she made no attempt to help us out. therefore You will lose 3 clients myself my daughter on my grandson. This happen Saturday November 3 2018.

If I can give it ZERO stars I will. 1st way over priced!!!!! 2nd Horrible experience!!! Had an appointment with Miso. Came in with blonde hair and wanted a white/grey color spend 8 hours at the salon just for it to look NOTHING like I showed him!! Then went back 2 weeks later so he can fix it and made it even worst!!! I came out with purple hair! Never again! Will never recommend this salon! Save your money!

It's late and I couldn't let another minute go by without sharing my experience with mob salon philly . Today my hairstylist who goes by miso( yes like the soup) lol.. made such an impact on my life he was able to accomplish the look I have been trying to achieve for over 12 years. I have tried over 4 salons in my area that were given reviews of excellant, unfortunately I wasted my money over the years trying to get this perfect haircut and balayage look making it look almost natural I walked into the salon nervous about a new and risky look and walked out feeling like a new and reinvented woman, mother of 3, 30 year old woman feeling like I was in my 20's again when I say thank you I truly mean it the staff amazing and professional service made me feel comfortable thanks guys your amazing cant wait to go back for my touch up xoxox

My experience at MOB Salon was great! Mizo did an amazing job on my hair. He took his time, conversated, and was just overall excellent. He even played great music that I jammed to the entire time. Thank you Mizo!

My mother and I came into the salon each of us wanting a trim. My mother's hair was left an inch longer on one side of her head and I ended up losing 6 inches of length to correct the hole left in my hair. Very disappointed in the quality of care and inexperienced stylists allowed to take clients without supervision.

Went to get a Keratin Treatment and had the pleasure to meet Mizo who did my hair. I was a little skeptical at first but it was a beautiful experience. Mizo knew what he was doing and explain every step of the way what the process will be. Was offer complimentary drinks, like coffee, water. Will go back again already schedule my next appointment. Been to lots of places but i think i found the place i will stay. Thank you Mizo!!
