I came in the salon to get a blowout by Nasonti. He took the time to ask me how I styled my hair, he created a game plan before he even started already aware of the products he was going to use. (I actually ended up purchasing a product before leaving) The head massage was FANTASTIC. 10/10 would definitely go back!

This was my first visit to Modern Salon and Spa Waverly. My hairstylist was Fatima. It was my first time meeting her. A haircut with a new stylist is always anxiety provoking. She was so kind from the very beginning, asked and listened to what I wanted, and fulfilled! I will be back not only to this salon but to see Fatima!

I had my first experience with Modern Salon & Spa Waverly and Amaya did a fantastic job! I needed a haircut as I've been growing out a pixie cut on top of having a bad haircut prior to going to Modern Salon. Amaya was very professional and kind. She took time to understand my goals and then explained some options. I was very impressed and left feeling much better about my hair. I will be back!

We always have an outstanding experience with Madison! We appreciate her ability to listen attentively, offer thoughtful suggestions, and cut hair that doesn't make my son go home and regret it. She is cheerful and fun and always a pleasure to see! We're so grateful we found her!

Not great. I booked a Junior stylist for a men's cut who called in sick earlier in the day. The stylist I had was at Mantra - level below. While the stylist was pleasant, there should've been a check on the cut by a Senior stylist to correct and provide guidance to the stylist. My hair was not cut or styled short enough but, I think I would've been there even longer than I should 've been. Also, I recommend stylists do not have long/sharp nails! Ouch! I was also charged for a Junior stylist which was more expensive than what I should've been something I didn't realize until later. I wouldn't go back or recommend.

Septina did such an amazing job. Out of all the disappointing haircuts i’ve gotten in the past, she is the only person I trust with my hair because I know she will slay every time. I highly recommend booking with her!!

I came here as a first time guest to get a haircut with Ghita, and I’m DEVASTATED. I said I was growing out my hair, and want as little taken off as possible to get dead ends off, and that I want it blunt at the ends. We agreed on one inch. She cut 4-5 inches off, and added so many layers that I look like I have no hair left! It’s so awful - I’m devastated. Years of growing out my hair are gone. Add to this that she was so aggressive when brushing and blow drying my hair, that it was yanking hair out. I will definitely never be back!

I come to the Waverly location to get my haircut every once in a while and I always have a good experience. But today I came in with a hair color problem from the Philips Place location and Abby was able to fix my hair to exactly what I wanted. Abby and Haley were very accommodating especially since I came in a few minutes before close to try and fix my hair before I went back to college. Can't recommend Abby enough!!

Septina listened to my concerns about wanting to even my hair out while not removing much length (it’s quite short and I’m trying to get some length back on it). She did an absolutely wonderful job rebuilding my layers and kept my length so I can keep growing it out. I usually hate my hair when I see it when it’s freshly cut and tend to like it after about week 2 post-cut, but Septina pulled off getting the shape of my hair dialed in right away and I left feeling confident and happy. I’m NY-based but in Charlotte fairly often, and am going to make a point to book with her as consistently as I can. She’s fantastic.

Allen did an AMAZING job with my son! He was patient and engaging with my 3 year old! My daughter and I go to Fatimah for our hair so I will say now my son goes to Allen! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our hair.

Horrible service, Kaitlin ripped out my hair, burnt it more, and left chunks of product in my hair. I’ve been going here for years and have never had such a horrible experience.

It hasn’t even been a full 24 hours since I got my haircut from Jasmine and I have already received SO MANY compliments. She was very detailed when asking questions about what I was looking for and gave me the result I wanted! Will 100% come back to see her next time!

Nobody charges 50$ for hair consultation that too for hair extension!? I have been to many hair consultations even the popular ones. They give options and you decide what you want to do do but never charged me. Please rethink. This comment is for public awareness only.
