Ana is a talented and skilled professional who brings pride to her work by giving each client the time and attention you would expect from a high end stylist. Ana is patient in understanding her client’s goals and is collaborative in soliciting her own expertise to achieve outstanding results. After loosing my long time stylist to a move, I had been looking for nearly two years to find someone who could help me achieve the look I was going for. I was so pleased to find Ana after extensive research and reading dozens of bios. I was absolutely thrilled when she not only understood the look I was going for, but was able to improve upon it. Ana is thoughtful and thorough and cares for each of her clients individually. So much so, that she follows up to see how the cut is growing in and if any adjustments are necessary. I cannot recommend Ana highly enough and will be a client for as long as she is practicing.

Ana was my hairstylist and she made me feel so comfortable and confident with my new bangs! I couldn’t imagine myself without them now 🫶🏽 Ana is funny, sweet, and amazing and everyone needs to book with her!!!

Alexis has cut and faded my hair for six years now. It’s incredible what a change of scenery can do for an artist’s creativity. Alexis has complete freedom of creativity with me and Modesty Hair Studio has such a relaxing vibe, it’s absolute SYNERGY!! I encourage anyone who wants to experience a great cut and a relaxing atmosphere, it’s like therapy for your soul.

Alexis is great. I have been getting my cut from him for the last 7 years and am always 100% satisfied. He can do it all from a basic cut to a nice straight razor beard and neck trim. Anybody in the business for a barber in Austin should give him a shot. 10/10

Alexis is the best. He’s been cutting my hair for about five years now, and I’ve been happy with the result every time. I remember the days before I started going to him, where I’d spend the whole haircut anxious about how it’d turn out. Now I can sit back, relax, and enjoy the cut - knowing that I have nothing to worry about. If I need to look sharp for a special occasion (a wedding, a date, etc), there’s literally no one I trust more than Alexis. Do yourself a favor and give him a visit!

I've been taking my curly, cowlicked mess of of a head to Alexis for several years now. He somehow finds a way to work with what my hair wants to do naturally, and I always walk away looking and feeling great. Also: As someone who is not usually into the social/conversation aspect of haircuts, Alexis is awesome. He's great at carrying a low-pressure conversation without making it awkward, or just giving me a some peace and quiet when I need it.

Modesty is a gorgeous studio on a super cool street with highly talented people. I go here to get cuts from Alexis. Basically, anything I want he can do with ease. Usually, I just tell him what I'm thinking and he'll take it from there, like a sharp looking trim, a tight fade, or just enough shag so that I don't look like I just got a haircut...And I've asked for that last one before. He's totally cool adding more finishing touches too, if you want the sides thinned more, more cut around the ears, your hair to fall a certain way, etc. He's also a font of Austin and cultural knowledge so you pretty much can never get bored, if you're the type to talk while sitting there. Pretty much every time, I'm in and out in thirty minutes. And it's always well worth the price. I can't recommend Alexis enough for your hair.

If you need a new stylist look no further than Julie Jaczkowski! Especially if you have short hair, it’s her specialty! I’m obsessed with my cut every time I leave her chair and she’s sweet as pie to boot ☺️ Highly highly recommend.

Julie was awesome!! The salon is a very comfortable, relaxed environment with none of the stress or sales-y-ness of a typical salon. Julie listened to everything I wanted and made adjustments as I asked. She was so nice and easy to talk to :)

Lorie Golden does an amazing job, listens to what the client wants, and offers affordable services! Modesty Hair Studio is clean, spacious, and located in a trendy part of town near Austin's famous Franklin BBQ. The interior is shabby chic and doesn't look like a sterile, chain hair salon.

Song has been my hairstylist for several years and has always done my hair coloring and haircuts very professionally and with great care. She has a very gentle touch. Because of Modesty's relaxed ambience, I call it my "spa." I highly recommend Song and Modesty Hair Studio!

Great stylists. This is the only place I get my haircut. I brought my young pre-teen daughter here to get her hair dyed (beautiful blue, purple)and she's gotten complements everywhere she goes. Her friends even try to copy her.
