I just had the Lymphatic Drainage Facial with Shaliyah and I feel extremely serene. My face feels so fresh, light and cleansed. I really enjoyed the “air compression pants” that gently massaged my feet’s, calves and thighs as I got my facial. Shaliyah was extremely professional but at the same time, friendly and put me at ease. She has a very calming way about her. As for Modrn, I enjoyed the personal attention and the very comforting and relaxed feel of the spa. Love the boutique feel also. Very, very happy!

I received a gift card for this place from a friend, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Loved it. It is very very clean. The suana and the red light is super relaxing. Fallon gave me one of the best massages I’ve had in awhile and spent a lot of time on my trouble areas. Will be back!

Had a manual lymphatic drainage massage with Benjamin and it was wonderful, relaxing and therapeutic at the same time. LD massages have this decongestion effect which is great for this time of the year. Benjamin used the right amount of pressure and I left feeling refreshed. Will be back soon.

I booked a facial and a massage for my birthday because of the reviews I seen from this place. I should have booked a different place because the service I received was poor. My massage was the worst and I’ve had better. They only has one masseuse and it barley felt like she was doing something. I honestly felt like she was rubbing lotion onto me especially for the fact that she was going fast it truly didn’t feel relaxing. There was no flow, no comfort nor care for my body which I so desperately needed. I was very disappointed in the place. The facial was ok and felt too quick. if I could be refunded for my experience I so would be greatful.

I wouldn’t go back. As someone who regularly visits spas and receives massage services, my experience here was below standards. Maybe it was my masseuse, and others at this establishment are different, but I would not be going back.

Modrn is AMAZING!! I love the dark and calming aesthetic of the space. Modrn creates a spiritual, physical, and emotional healing space (and they aren’t afraid to use crystals, to amplify those intentions). I’m so grateful to have found such a wonderful spa right in center city!

The might be the best spa in Philadelphia. You will leave feeling pampered, nurtured, from the estheticians and glowing and radiant from their incredible services. What I love about this spa is they go beyond traditional spa services and add a layer of energetic healing that leaves you feeling light and wonderful in body mind and spirit. If you book a service, you MUST add the energy bath with the infrared crystal mat. This is so unique and so healing. Alex the owner is the sweetest woman who makes you feel right at home, sitting down to chit chat, never rushing you out, and just treating you like friend. The team is great! The services are great! Modrn sanctuary is great!!!!

From the moment you step inside you know you're in for an amazing experience. All details are covered from the textured walls to the crystal waters. I had 45 min on the crystal bed, and it was just what I needed after a hectic few weeks. Next up, a massage!

I absolutely love Modrn Sanctuary and now refuse to go to any chain spas. Modrn Sanctuary has such amazing services and I’ve loved every service I’ve received there. I, first tried the lymphatic drainage massage and facial with Julia and she gave me the best facial I’ve ever had in my life. My skin was glowing and hydrated and looked amazing, and it was so relaxing in the BallancerPro lymphatic massage. Also, before summer I tried the Cryoskin with RadioFrequency and had a noticeable difference after my sessions! Can’t wait to try all their service offerings like microneedling and the red light sauna!

Modrn Sanctuary is a beautiful space to recharge and ground your energy when you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed. What makes Modrn so unique is their amazing holistic approach to wellness and diverse array of services: they have an incredible crystal bed where you can drift off to the sounds of binary beats (I always book this after a massage, it's heavenly!), a range of restorative massages, facials, ayurveda treatments and even services such as hypnosis and breath work to help you restore your energy on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. I especially love the crystal infused water they give you as you wait. The staff is lovely and the prices are very reasonable. This is a hidden gem right in the heart of Center City, a must try in Philly!

Huge fan of the ballancerPro lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna combo. Has really helped me in my health journey. Huge plus is the staff is incredible and super helpful. I know a ton of places in nyc and Philly offer the Ballancer for about 200!! Modrn prices it very reasonably compared to them and it’s a great place to do it. Love that the sauna is in its own private room just for you.

I visited Modrn Sanctuary today for a Sensory 7 Crystal Bed energy bath and a deep tissue massage. The spa is clean, relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and inviting. I was skeptical about the energy bath but figured I would give it a try, and I was very pleasantly surprised to feel lighter and refreshed after. My masseuse was phenomenal! She managed to melt some pretty gnarly tension knots in my neck and shoulders that have been plaguing me for weeks. I'll definitely be returning to try out other services! Update: I want to give a shout out to Sofia for the amazing facial and skincare advice! My skin is looking 1000 times better, and it has only been two weeks on my new regime with Sabbatical Beauty products! I still love the crystal energy bed and recommend it to everyone!

I’ve come to modrn twice now, and have tried the sauna- massage- and crystal bed. I would have to say all of these experiences have been 10/10 and it’s nice to have a little oasis in the middle of center city. Highly recommend checking these women out :)

I had a full spa day last week at Modrn Sanctuary with a cryo facial, the crystal bed, and the Ballancer Pro lympathic drainage, and OMG it was the most restorative day ever. I can't wait to go back!!!

Almost exactly a year ago, I was given the opportunity to try Modrn's crystal sensory bed which came at a time that I needed to devote more time to self-care, after losing my spouse the year before. Since then, I have signed up for their monthly membership which has allowed me to try multiple services including massage, foot reflexology, infared sauna, Ballancer Pro lymphatic drainage system, facials, and LED red light therapy (in addition to the crystal sensory bed). In addition to the monthly package, I have tried the cryo skin therapy and somatic healing session. Each month, a newsletter is sent out, which allows me to see what's new. Their website also has various class offerings that I am looking forward to trying (palm readings, spiritual guidance, tea reading, and others). I feel their prices are reasonable. Ironically, I am one of those people that refuses to spend alot on a haircut, but when it comes to inner health and well-being, I feel the opposite. Modrn Sanctuary gives you the opportunity to target healing and wellness on the inside and outside, sometimes at the same time. Can I say with absolute certainty that there has been one specific treatment that I noticed a huge improvement on? No, but I feel the combination of everything that I have been consistently trying, has helped me feel better. And the variety of new and changing offerings gives me the excitement and interest to try things I may not have tried before. I love, love, love this "sanctuary."

Have had only great experiences at Modrn. I've been lucky to have had several massages, two microdermabrasion facials, and one Sensory7 Crystal bed session. The entire staff is so welcoming and kind. I love that they offer nontraditional wellness options like the crystal bed session, oxygen therapy, etc in addition to the more traditional massages and facials. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been going to Modrn Sanctuary for well over a year now and I’m in love with this little spa! Up until discovering them it was hard to find an infrared sauna I could get to since I don’t drive, but it’s the combination of services they offer in addition to how helpful they are that really makes them shine. It’s not often that you can get a cupping massage in addition to an infrared sauna session and a facial….if you can I do highly recommend this combo, it’s pretty amazing.

I tried an oxygen session, it was relaxing and chill. After the session I felt like my mind was clear and I had an energy boost. I would highly recommend it.

Overall wonderful experience. They provided detailed descriptions on how to get in the building. Smiling faces when I arrived. Everything was set up and prepared for my arrival. The sauna was set to 140F, but I believe could go up to 150F if you asked. Very reasonable price! Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful!! I scheduled an express facial with Julia and massage with Fallon after a long week of conferences for work. Julia & Fallon and the staff gave me A-list quality and customer service!! I felt relaxed and rejuvenated after my visit to Modrn Sanctuary. If I'm ever in Philly again, I will be visiting again!! Did the 2 person infared sauna with red light treatment. Front desk person stepped into our sauna with her sneakers on.. 🥴 But felt wonderful afterwards and price was ok! The facilities are not giving total wellness spa. No showers post sauna, but at least cold towels were provided. Treatment worth the price.

I did the crystal bed and it was super relaxing! The spa is decorated very nicely and has great vibes. The owner was the one who checked me in and she was super nice! I'm looking forward to trying more services here. Highly recommend!

I had a really nice experience at Modrn Sanctuary, it was my first time visiting. I had a rough few months the end of the year and decided to treat myself to a massage and a facial. I was greeted by Sophia who was very professional and friendly. I decided to go with the crystal massage and it was great. Ethel was very professional and moved stagnante energy from my body with her techniques and crystals. Next up for my facial was Julia and that was awesome, Julia was also professional and explained all steps and products as we went along. Needless to say I felt fabulous when I left the spa. There are more services that I would like to try at Modryn, so I will be back.

I've been to Modrn Sanctuary two times now and although it's the only place I've been for a massage and facial, the entire staff is INCREDIBLE and knowledgable in their craft. They made my first time getting a massage so easy, relaxing, and less stressful. I came out of both my sessions feeling like absolute jelly, I simply melted into bed when I got home; THAT is how relaxing it is to be taken care of there. I'm excited to go back and try out their other services! The only down side is that due to their location within the city, it can be hard or a little annoying to find street parking if you're not interested in using a lot/garage. Personally, I would feel mildly gross getting onto SEPTA after a massage since I was still a bit oily after them, but that would probably be your best bet to get to their building more easily.

LOVE, LOVE , Absolutely LOVE Modrn!!! The healing vibes are so incredible, I wish I could live there!! So far I’ve done the sensory chakra bed twice, a manual lymphatic massage, infrared sauna and went for a special tarot card reading event. I also attended a virtual hypnosis and EFT tapping session which was super powerful and has been a great healing technique for me. The staff is very friendly and professional. Their space is clean, and full of great energy. Thank you for all your hard work team!!

When the time comes for YOU to give yourself a boost, Modrn Sanctuary Philadelphia offers the best solutions. I loved my facial. After that I tried the lymphatic drainage suit - what a weird and fantastic solution to bloat. Modrn is a welcome addition to my Philadelphia city living.
