Resort pass was def not worth the money. The spa facilities are small and there were so many people that it was not only terribly loud but there were also towels and robes everywhere you couldn’t sit. My husband paid the same price as I did but didn’t have access to the showers or the steam room where they were doing construction during our visit. Overall not a relaxing vibe.

Came to Mokara Spa to celebrate my fiancés birthday with massages and have day of relaxation. Regrettably, I had an unfortunate event at the spa and was unable to attend the massages. But I really want to take a moment to appreciate how wonderful the staff was during my situation, and that they all went above and beyond for me. Janette the Manager, Amy, Parker with valet, and I am sure many others but they specifically were so attentive and helpful. I am unable to thank the staff enough for everything they did for me, and deeply appreciate their kindness and understanding. The staff provided exemplar customer service, and highly recommend this spa! Thank you so much!

My husband and I stayed at the Omni for the start of our honeymoon. We had to change our massage reservation a couple times to accommodate family in town. The spa was accommodating to these changes

An overpriced subpar spa! My Hotstone massage was far below average. The therapist kept the stones so far that all her time was spent going back and forth cutting into a massage. We spent almost 600 for two massages that were underwhelming to say the least! The ladies steam room wasn’t working and since there was no one in men’s side we got permission to indulge there and trust me the steam was placed in a way where my legs got burnt while opening the door. It was poorly designed and/or maintained! Since we used the facilities there we showered there and left our swimsuits behind the door. Guess what for an expensive place like that they don’t monitor the facilities well as both our swimsuits got stolen from behind the man’s shower room. Save your money! This place is way overpriced for what u get!

How things have changed! When from a five star to a single star. We have stayed at the resort several times and have access the spa. We won’t be using the SPA here anymore. No service even after reporting to spa front desk. Had similar experience in the pool two days ago, but this was worst. See picture for comment.

Came here with my wife for a spa day and was not disappointed. Maureen handled taking our reservations and she was a pure delight to talk to about the services and schedule and made it super easy for my wife and I to enjoy our time at the spa. The facilities and amenities are top notch and very accommodating. Fun Tip: Be sure to try the trail mix in the quiet area. It was so tasty that my wife and I couldn’t get enough and wanted to smuggle some home. Our massage services and therapists were A++. I can’t recommend this spa enough. We will be coming back for sure. And lastly, thank you so much Maureen for your excellent service. You made our experience an unforgettable one and we can’t thank you enough. ;)

The Mokara Spa is exceptional and has a beautiful, relaxing ambiance. If you need your hair done, Sylvia is wonderful! She is so wise, and kind, and does a beautiful job. My hair smells and feels amazing thanks to her :) I highly recommend the poke bowl with champagne if you are dining here. Love the prosecco with their delicious charcuterie boards too....menu is dairy/gluten friendly! This spa is also great to spend a day at with a significant other, but make sure to book treatments early.

Their lack of technology is astounding. Why can’t you view availability online and make an appointment. Then you call, goes to voicemail, goes to voicemail….. why are you stuck in the 1980s with your technology?

I love coming here for a quick getaway for birthdays or anniversaries! The views the pool the food by the pool is always perfect! The treatments are never horrible and mostly amazing but every now and then I’ll get just a so-so treatment. Which the spa environment itself makes it all better! This time the spa attendant Amy really stood out to me! I thought she was a manager the way she helped my friend when lost and just checking in on us to see if we needed anything! Her customer service and professional manner while still letting her personality shine through just stuck with our whole group! She also promised to help get my hat that blew on the roof! Ha! She just seemed to go above and beyond and all while smiling! Ill always recommend this spa!

I read many reviews for this spa as well as others rated as top spas in the area. I choose this one for the services, private heated pool and location. This is the only one I've been to in Austin, I'm not from here, BUT I've been to many spas in my life, countless. I'll start with the great things; Valet parking is free, makes sense and is appreciated. Would be nice if they offered car service within a certain radius as well. I know there's uber and lyft, but would be nice. Check in was fast, I arrived almost 2 hours early so I could finish a book by the pool and the woman that greeted me at the front desk could feel my energy and that I wanted a no-nonsense tour so I could get to the pool. She was thorough and brief. Loved it. The facilities are clean, quiet, and spacious. I do wish the lockers were bigger, I mean... there seemed to be 40 or so on the women's side, I doubt there are 40 women getting spa treatments at once. Would be nice if even half of the lockers were full sized. That's a minor thing though. The pool is private, heated, and narrow. The size is perfect, but it makes me wonder if there are a ton of lockers why isn't the pool bigger? Lol... so silly of me, but anyway. It wasn't crowded and you can get service out there for food and drinks. I do wish there was some kind of sun block/screen spray available. If there was I didn't see it. I did see a can of "Off!". The pool attendant was astute and didn't bother me about drinks or food until i or my book down, that is much appreciated. The showers are spacious, more than I've seen around the world. Could fit 10 people in one stall! And the water was hot!! The bathroom amenities were also nice. The typical things like lotions, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, etc. My body treatment had a scrub, a Shea butter cbd wrap and massage. It came with a scalp massage, but I declined that portion and she kindly spent more time on other areas. The table was heated and for the first time ever, I was given a heated towel under my neck to allow the therapist access to my shoulders. I've had a towel, just not a HEATED towel. It's the tiny things. The tables were also wide, had a very calm motor for lifting and also the ability to raise just the back or the knees. Really a great massage table. I often ask for light to medium touch and find myself either wincing or telling the therapist they are going too hard during the session. I have no idea why therapists do this, just go super light and allow the person to say harder, not the other way around. That being said this pressure was PERFECT. With more than 50 or so massages in my life, this rates top 10, easily. Only negative I would say... and it didn't bother me at all, was the already included gratuity. It's 22% which is fine... but it kind of left no room to severely over tip as I'm prone to do when service is above and beyond. The guy checking me out didn't give me the option to over tip or leave cash, so I didn't. I guess this review will suffice :-). Bravo, Mokara. I'll be back... hopefully before I leave town!! No pics, cuz I didn't use my phone. I'm leaving this same review on the main Omni page as well.

I Love Omni and its spas due to their superiors amenities! Pros — great amenities, nice pool with a view, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, food menu, cocktails and wine/beer, variety of massage and facial options, talented therapists, nice staff, showers, post-shower amenities like blow dryer and flatiron + all toiletries you could need. Super spa-like environment with hot teas and water and all the towels you could need! One con is that the tranquility room isn’t very tranquil as I’ve seen at other spas (very open spaced and not really a quiet room). The other only concern is that while the staff is nice, it really did lack in terms of service. The showers, pool area and other amenities weren’t the cleanest. A huge part of luxury is not only its amenities, but its service. I’ve been to a few spas, and this one lacked having someone dedicated to the pool area to take orders and make sure it’s kept up with as people come and go. They also need someone dedicated to the showers/locker rooms; it can be gross to enter a shower that has towels and hair in it. For the price paid and its similarity to other top notch facilities like Trellis Spa at The Houstonian in Houston, they could focus on providing luxury experience through better service and not just their amenities. All in all I’d still come back once a year! You can’t beat the hotel, the view and the overall experience! Just feedback I thought I’d share!

There is no better place I feel more relaxed, comfort and well taken care of than the Mokara Spa at Omni Barton Creek Spa & Resort. First and foremost, the staff are so welcoming, and it feels as though you are catered to throughout your day at the spa. They offer a wide range of services and treatments that are all done by very knowledgeable professionals. The Amenities are amazing perks to going to the spa from the sauna, steam room, hot tub to the heated rooftop adult only pool. I have already started letting my friends and family know. Honestly look no further if you are wanting exceptional service, treatments, and a relaxing me day!

We stayed at the resort and booked massages on a Saturday afternoon. Spa was well appointed and clean. However, there were several groups of ladies who were quite loud and honestly took over not only the hot tub but the sauna as well and did not budge during the two hours I was there.. I decided to try the steam room instead but it didn’t seem to be working. So I ended up just showering and leaving. I have been to many spas and this one is definitely not the environment one hopes for when booking a service.

We've been here over 20x and now just had an overpriced way below average massage where they booked our couples massage totally incorrectly and ruined the experience to say the least. Therapists here used to almost be worth the price, but it's gone so downhill over the past 6-9 months so that it's a 100% ripoff at this point. Avoid at all costs, even if you're a hotel guest.

I'd give this spa 2-3 stars for the facilities and experience overall. My partner scheduled 80 minute massages for us to celebrate a milestone and booked them for 3:30pm. Our biggest issue was that when we left the massage, we were told by our therapist that the facilities closed at 5 and we'd have to rush to relax, shower and get out! I wish that was disclosed up front, as we went to sit down after the massage for a minute, the team was hurriedly taking all of the water, tea and towels away to pack up. We had to rush to take a shower and leave, without much time to relax, soak or have a steam. Beforehand, the men's locker room didn't have any water in it...you had to get in a robe and go out to the shared spaces to get a water or refill your glass. The showers (all 3 of them) were out of either shower gel, shampoo, or conditioner. Lastly, in the hurried rush to shower and get out, there was no hairdryer or products to help you get ready to go--just lotion and handsoap. Overall, this was missing the mark and for the money and hurried experience-- I think there are much better options in town.

My husband and I came to the Spa for a service for my birthday. We are locals and wanted to have a nice, quiet day as new parents. I booked two different massages over the phone for the couples massage. The person I spoke with said I could choose any massage offered at the given length. I double checked and confirmed the total price twice following the selection as the listed online price (no added cost for the selected massages). My husband enjoyed the CBD massage and my deep tissue massage was good even through she ran out of time to hit one of my pain/target areas. The amenities were great, but it did became overcrowded being a Friday. When we went to check out I received a bill that was higher than originally confirmed on the phone. I made the manager aware. It was a small difference, but there was a difference. She made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was trying to negotiate a price when in fact, that was what I was told and why I made those massage selections. I would consider coming back on a less busy day, but I hope they honor their mistakes rather than make me feel wrong.

Pros - Great hot stone massage. The amenities were great - private roof top pool with lots of seating, a few indoor lounging for areas pre and post massage, and an indoor hot tub with small sauna and steam room. With a couple of friends, you can easily spend 3-4+ hrs there just off one 50 min treatment. There was also someone checking if you needed anything (drink, food..) and keeping the place neat. Down side was Saturday afternoon was very crowded, as near ever amenity/area was busy. A weekday or even Sunday would be a more serene experience. Overall, would recommend!!

The amenities are extremely well put together, however, they allow rudely LOUD, inconsiderate to-all-get-out individuals to get away with ruining others experiences by NON-STOP TALKING!!!!! It echoes in there! I paid really good money to have a nice, very much needed spa day and it was completely and entirely thwarted by two crass women. Despite this miserable disaster I will come back — in hopes I have a more professional environment allotted.

This spa was definitely not what I expected. When I arrived to my appointment, whoever scheduled my reservation scheduled the wrong massage so I had to get a massage I didn’t want. I was already there so I proceeded. The massage was descent and the masseuse was nice but again not what I asked for. The amenities were the only thing I really enjoyed. (The jacuzzi, sauna and steam room) They were over crowded and over booked it seemed like because it was way too many people in the spa; which made it hard to get to the amenities. Overall really disappointed and probably won’t return.

We stayed at the resort for a short weekend getaway (first time away from baby)… so needless to say relaxation was a must. Booked a 90 minute massage and was fortunate enough to get Ally (not sure on spelling of name). It was definitely one of the best massages I have had! Even before the massage she asked me a few questions that helped her adjust the experience for the better. (Not using peppermint as it could effect breastfeeding). It was such a great way to start our vacation!

Mokara was awesome! This was the first time for my wife and I to go to Mokara, and first time going to a spa, so we weren’t sure what to expect. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Kailey who helped checked us in. She was super friendly and answered all of our first timer questions. She showed us a tour of the spa and then set us up with our lockers so we could get ready for our couples massage. Sara R. and Romana were our massage therapists and they were great! We felt so relaxed after the massage. Ben did a great job taking care of us while we were at the pool. He was friendly and always on top of things! Knowing it was our first time, Kailey came and checked on us a couple times throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was professional and my wife and I loved our time at Mokara. We will be back and highly recommend this spa! Thank you to Kailey and everyone who made our time there great!

My favorite spa in Austin hands down. Everytime I have been here they have treated me like a queen. The staff is very professional and make the experience even more better. I recommend getting a facial, you will leave this place feeling so relaxed. Definitely needed after a crazy year of 2020. Would rate it 10 stars if I could!

This was the most unrelaxing spa I have ever been to! It was more of a social club than the serene getaway I needed and expected. I could hear people talking and laughing from the coed lounge and café during my treatments. When I booked my spa package several weeks in advance it included lunch. However, when I tried to order lunch I was notified that since booking lunch had been removed from the package but the price remained the same. Finally, they had only one poor girl doing nails. So my pedicure felt very rushed. The total time for my spa package was advertised as 2.5 hours. I think everything was completed in 1.5 hours. PROS: the spa facilities seemed very clean and the staff were all very nice.

Had a massage and facial today. The facial was good. The massage was disappointing. I booked a deep tissue/sports massage which was not what the therapist provided. I requested the therapist to adjust pressure several times and this was barely adjusted and not maintained. I mentioned the issue to the front desk and nothing was done about it either. I will not come back and will book an off-site location if I stay at this resort in the future.

Pedicure was over priced. I was expecting so much more for the price. I paid $100, including mandatory tip. For that price, I was expecting much more than just a soak, a quick scrub, and nail polish. Definately not worth that amount!!!! I’ve had better pedicure experiences much cheaper than that.
