Since I can remember, a spa day has been my favorite form of self-care and a way to treat myself. Before moving to Louisville 8 years ago, I lived in a city where the standard for a spa experience included waiting in a vapor cave before your service began, offering a tea that was a unique blend for your experience, and soaking in a hot spring after your massage. Now, I didn’t have this exact standard for my spa experience when I moved to Louisville, but I do want my massage to be an experience from the moment I step into the business to the moment I leave. In the 8 years I’ve lived in Louisville, I have yet to find a spa experience that “wowed” (and I’ve even tried the Omni). I booked a couples reiki and sound healing session as well as a couples massage for my fiance's birthday at Mokosh Holistic Massage, and we both can attest, it was the best experience either of us have ever had in Louisville. From the booking process, to the owner greeting us at the door before handing us over to our service providers, the oasis and brand representation in the space, and finally the exceptional service providers. We left our experience feeling brand new, and both talked about making the experience a regular part of our self care routine. I am so wildly impressed, and I hope I emphasized how hard of a task that is. I want to extend my utmost gratitude.

Everyone at Mokōsh Holistic Massage is excellent! I initially sought their services due to hip discomfort. I scheduled an appointment with Shawn for Assisted Stretch and Mobility, and it was both relaxing and effective. Since I sit at a desk all day, I was concerned my hip pain would ruin my summer vacation. However, after the appointment, I felt fantastic and enjoyed a pain-free beach vacation! Shawn truly knows his craft!

I had an amazing experience here! My daughter and I came in for a couples massage and the entire experience was wonderful. The vibe is very relaxing and the massage therapists were kind and skilled. Courtney intuitively knew where to focus her attention and gave an excellent massage. My daughter was very happy with her massage from Brianna, as well. Thank You for giving my daughter the perfect first massage experience.

I had to sit in the parking lot and immediately write this review after my massage with Brianna. I’m a massage therapist myself and the quality of this massage was just next level. She was so intentional, knowledgeable, and caring. It was as if she could feel exactly what I was and effortlessly addressing it. This was a prenatal massage and I really appreciate that the table was specifically made so pregnant women can lay comfortably face down while also having support for their bellies. And the wedge used to support me when laying on my back was so comfortable. All around 100/10. Thank you times a million 🧡

I know around 10 people that go to Mokosh. All of them have nothing but great things to say. Myself included. Very happy with the atmosphere and the staff. I’m excited to try their mobility stretching classes soon! What an incredible addition to services. Go see Brianna. I have never been so relaxed in my whole life during a session. She helped my shoulder/back/pinky numbness pain I had for over two months. I WILL BE BACK!

Najwan and Shawn combined forces in the course of only 8 weeks to remedy a nagging, at times debilitating orthopedic injury that other providers led me to believe was going to cause pain and a loss of function permanently… Three years of problems - resolved. I should also thank Google - since that’s how I found them:)

Jorden reviewed my form and understood the amount of stress I have been going through. She is very professional - understanding - and knew what I meant when I said I just need to melt into the table ! Great job Jorden! Ask for her if you just need to be totally relaxed!! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about my love for Jorden and her massages! I've had deep tissue and prenatal massages with her and both are absolutely excellent. Jorden always uses pressure that I am comfortable with, checks in with me during the massage to make sure I am still comfortable, and has helped me with chronic pain issues in the past. She is very professional and very talented. For prenatal, I LOVE that she has a table where I can lay face down, and my baby loves it too! It relieves pressure on my back, and baby can stretch and hang loose. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! Updating my review on 6/28/24 with pics of her beautiful new space at Mokosh!

Shawn has the knowledge and the skills. He quickly assessed my issues and tailored the session to meet my needs. What I really loved though, was that he expertly used his techniques to work right at the edge of my flexibility so that I felt a big stretch without anything feeling forced. The results were that my back pain and stiffness alleviated (after weeks of issues) over the course of the next few days. I was surprised at the effectiveness. Plus, he's just a nice guy. :-)

The location is easy to find and easily accessible. I thought the pricing was very fair. Most importantly, I was given great customer service and felt genuinely important to my practitioner. She was caring, knowledgeable, and most importantly, effective at relieving my back pain! I look forward to doing more treatments and seeing how much better I can feel.

I feel so much better. Jorden made me feel very comfortable and was great at checking in with me. I felt like I was in good hands, while being pregnant that made a world of difference. Update: I got a deep tissue massage from Najwan on Friday. She did a great job communicating and listening to me. She was a big help in loosening my mid and lower back muscles and finding the trigger points in my shoulders!

I had an amazing and peaceful experience with Jocelyn this afternoon. She greeted me and remembered all the problem areas and information from my intake which was very impressive and personable. She was kind and a delight to talk to and she had magical hands that seemed to interact with my body and problem areas and not just go along with the notions. This was just the little break in life that I needed today and I’m so excited for my next visit. Also have to mention the place is super cute, welcoming and had the best energy. Highly recommend!

I recently had my first visit at Mokosh - location is convenient for those in the Upper Highlands neighborhood and easy to find. No issues with parking. The inside of Mokosh was inviting, quiet and calming. Najwan was my therapist for a deep tissue massage - she took time to make sure she fully understood how to approach my problem areas and any concerns I had. She communicated openly and often during the massage which I appreciated. I felt comfortable with Najwan during my 90 minutes and look forward to visiting again.

My session was with Najwan and she was incredibly kind and warm. I explained this was my first massage and she was great about explaining “why” and “how” things would be going. She also helped show me how areas are connected. She was very detailed oriented and I look forward to seeing her again. The space was very clean and serene.
