Mona Lisa Threading provided me a place of healing when I was / continue to be deeply struggling with grief and loss. I am so thankful for the staff who made a difference in my life when I was having so much trouble showing up for myself. They held me with such care, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Beautiful work and very affordable! I went there once, later took a selfie to upload on Tinder, and got several compliments on my brows, lol. I went again just recently and coincidentally met up with the same threader as I had the first time. I forgot her name, but I believe that the other two threaders should be just as good as the one I've been having. Check it out!

When I was pregnant, I didn't feel comfortable with a lady touching my belly. It was beyond uncomfortable. Even now, after giving birth, I don't feel comfortable with the same lady talking about my child. I prefer to keep our relationship strictly professional rather than becoming friends. I don't like to share my personal life, and at the very least, I wish she would show me some respect. When I give her a bad tip, it's because she deserves it for looking at the screen and being curious about how much I, as a customer, tip her. As a cosmetologist myself, I rarely receive bad tips, but that doesn't affect how ! treat my clients. It's important to keep work and personal life separate. If you're not able to do that, then you deserve a negative 0-star rating.

I have started going to this place from last few months. They do a good service and I leave a tip. Today I am in a hurry and didn’t leave a tip and the lady was demanding for tip. Kept on saying that I am the first customer of the day and she wouldn’t get tips if I don’t leave one. She was also saying that she wouldn’t get paid from the owner and she lives only on tips. I haven’t heard anything of this sort from anyone or any other stores.

MY GIRL PINKY IS AMAZING !!! when my bf and i tried this place for the first time, we got Pinky, and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED her! 🩷 does the job quick & what we EXACTLY WANT. she’s soo adorbs & so sweet. today, we got her again & she accommodated us right away. she was the only one working & she was slaying at her job. we love pinky! also, this place is soo clean and neat. Mona Lisa Eyebrow Threading is an amazing place! Pinky is so sweet and does my eyebrows perfectly. She always welcomes me with a smile every time I come by. She makes my eyebrows look well shaped and cleaned up! I strongly recommend this place, because it’s a 10 out 10 for me! Story Time: Let me preface by saying, I am quite the particular individual aka I am EXTREMELY PICKY. I from out of town and I have had maybe 3 eyebrow ladies over the past 10 years because I am committed once I find "the one". Whatever possessed me to walk in with good faith that my eyebrows would not turn out like a theatrical production of "The Life of Picasso", beats me. Something about an empty grocery store and not melting on impact inTexas heat does something to my moral. Staff were welcoming upon arrival and I, without reservation, let them know I wanted a clean up on my eyebrows. Again, where was the trepidation knowing I have trust issues? This was a BLIND and IMPULSIVE decision. I didn't look up any reviews prior which concerns me and I will make sure to journal about it later. The woman, by the name of Puja, greeted me and seemed reassuring. I prepped with my handy Kleenex for a post-tearful state (does that happen to anyone else? You know the massive waterworks regardless of how many times you do it?) and then the moment arrived. The mirror slowly encroaching in on my personal space. Immediately I began to panic: Oh, am I about to have second cousins as eye brows? What did I do?! Then it happened: Caterpillars turned butterflies. Two symmetrical things of expressive beauty! And it wasn't painful?! Astonished is an understatement. I profusely thanked her for doing such a great job! The most LONG WINDED yet dramatic run around to say: Phenomenal place and a gem for incredible eyebrows! Ask for Puja. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I am a regular at this place but after my recent eyebrow threading session, I am reluctant to come back. Since the base price for waxing increased, I expected quality care from the staff including strict infection control. Unfortunately, the staff does not change their gloves after taking care of each customer and even uses the same gloves to handle card transactions. When you are touching someone’s face, it is important to change out your gloves for the next customer. It is flu season after all. If this is the standard practice here then I’ll probably not come back (mind you I’ve been coming here for the past 3years). For any business, cleanliness should be a priority.

I have been going to this place since I moved to austin in 2019, it’s amazing. I have been taking service from Pinky she is amazing very friendly and provides best services and she make sure the client is happy with her service.
