she messed up my part in some of the braids and made it crooked, she half assed it, she kept on re scheduling and made the price wayyyyyg too high, my mom paid $400 for a half ass job

I absolutely love the daughter and the mom. Yall made me feel like family and we talk about our african traits which was so warming. I am coming back in 2 months to get faux locs! Love you guys!!! ❤❤ best service. Braids not even tight. Slept well the first night.

Staff is very pleasant and friendly, but I was not satisfied with my hair on two different occasions. Some styles like individual crotchet and gypsy braids they don’t know how to do, but will say they do on the phone. My box braids were partially braided out leaving the ends looking trashy an uneven. On both occasions I walked out very disappointed 😔. I was even more dissatisfied this last time because I spent $220 for some basic medium size box braids that were not even braided anywhere close to the end.

BEWARE they we scam you out your money for the most BASIC styles!!! I asked for cornrows and you know cornrows vary for about like 40-70. This lady gon say 140 for 5 braids!!!! All they do is charge a arm and a leg for the most basic styles, you mind as well go to other African braiding in Tampa because they will not try to scam u like this

Extremely rude! As a walk in I was told she would call me as soon as she finished the current client. No problem. She calls me and said be back at 3pm as they were finishing up that client. I arrived at 2:45 and patiently waited in the clean waiting area. At 3:30 someone else walks in. Mona comes over and tells me she has another appointment and I could go home and wait on her call or go somewhere else. Of course I just smiled and politely did just that. Clearly she knew she had another appointment she could’ve initially told me that or just set me an appointment for another time instead of telling me she’d call me when she was finished with that client. I’m grateful I didn’t spend my money with her.

Mona was so sweet and nice even though I was about twenty minutes late. She got an understanding of what I wanted and completed the task. I got crochet Senegalese Twist which turned out lovely. She finished in two hours and used all six packs!!! My husband and everyone love my hair!!! Mona was easy going and sweet!!! Definitely going back!!!

Mona's is a wonderful salon. A variety of hair services are offered including braids and weaves. Appointments are timely, and prices are fair and reasonable. The shop is neat, clean and clients are socially distanced. Mona and her other stylist are friendly & professional and visits are pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend.

Went today for the 1st time to Ms Mona”s place, Ms, Mona is very nice and friendly. I got Senegalese Crochet Twist, quick hairstyle and I was very pleased with the outcome. I definitely plan on going back for my next style and Ms Mona does more than just braids....Check her out you will not be disappointed!!!
