I called and made an appointment for Bob box braid's, I even sent a picture of the style. I was told to be there on Saturday at 9 am. ( 8.17.24) I got there about 15 minutes early and the stylist was there so I thought everything was good to go. I explained again what I was getting. A young girl started my braids. I started to notice that the braid was too long to be started as a Bob but I figured because the tips were going to be left loose she would cut and it would be okay, by 1130 AM, two people are now braiding my hair, by the time they finished, with the hot water dip and everything, I had regular box braids full length. It was not what I paid for but was too late because my entire head was done and it's now 4pm and I'm ready to go. I was able to deal with the style that I have because it's cute but I will not be going back because they fail to provide the service required. My regular lady had not returned from her trip so that's why I went somewhere else. I won't do that again. Please go at your own risk.

Extremely unprofessional! They made us pay before the service which is very unusual for braid shops, but we still did anyway. They also tried to change the price for the service while in the chair and were pressing us for a tip while taking the payment. Be mindful they also charge a $5 cash app fee if you want to pay that way! Extremely over priced for the mediocre service they offer. You can definitely find better elsewhere.

Get ur hair done here at your own risk ! Called the day before and was told to come in the next day and I did so . Started getting my hair done and we both had to be somewhere … long story short she didn’t braid my hair all the way down .. braids were uneven and just looked horrible …. Didn’t notice it at 1st because she dipped it so it looked straight .. once it dried the hair was tangling together and I noticed the hair was not finished ! She mumbled something about the next day & I expressed I couldn’t because of a brunch I had to attend and work . but she let me leave knowing she half did what I paid $180 for and basically left me with no choice but to come bk so she can finish it ! When she dipped my hair it looked finished like I stated before so I left satisfied … next morning I called her n she did agree to fix it . & she was kind ! But I felt played ! I will not be returning even tho it got fixed ! I missed my grandmas birthday brunch because of this !

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MONIC BRAIDING!!! They have been doing my braids for years. Extremely professional, always accommodating and the end result is always phenomenal! They never disappoint no matter which hairstyle - box braids, knotless, bohemian, butterfly locs, you name it, I loved it every time. Just go see for yourself, my results were amazing. As I got starter locs, I called Sunday morning and went right in. I love my hair I will try to post a pic in my yellow sweater. The stylist are very sweet and friendly as well. I'm glad I overlooked the bad reviews. Saved myself an hour drive back home to Raleigh. They were 5 min from my house.

Manager is nice but will not return. I spent 7 hours there for braids and they are very messy. They are different lengths, she left a lot of my ends loose and just dipped it vs braiding it down to the middle of my back as I requested and paid her to do. Lastly, I now have blisters and scabs throughout my scalp bc the braids are so tight. I’m very disappointed in the service received.

Very unprofessional lady spent more time watching tv then doing my hair it should not have took 12hrs for boxbraids with burn tips its ridiculous when a person with Senegalese twist with a full head of hair is done 4hrs before me and I got there when the shop opened and ended up being the last one to leave .

When I first got there one of the young ladies told me my hair was too short where my hair goes all the way down to my shoulders she told me my hair would be too short to cornrow into two cornrows whenever she finished the cornrows the hair was too thin she didn't use enough hair on the corn roast I did not like it I wore for one day and took it out
