Top notch service and lovely atmosphere 10/10 would recommend and definitely returning! This was my second time ever getting my hair professionally bleached and toned all that fun stuff and I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the results! I came in to do a consultation appointment a week before my actual appointment with my hair straightened and when I showed up to the appointment with my naturally curly hair Allison was surprised but ready for the challenge. She was very gentle on my curls which I appreciated. I felt like I was in good hands and Allison did not disappoint! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair. I’m looking good and feeling good 😊 I’m excited to see how my hair looks when curly. Thank you again!

I typically don't leave reviews but wanted to share my experience at Moss and Moon. I first booked my appointment with Lexi and showed her a Pinterest picture of what I wanted. (photo is attached). I left feeling good about it because it was all curled and blown out. A couple days later I started to really not like it because the highlights were only placed on the bottom layer and they were really brassy. So, I go back in to get it toned and added more highlights to blend it together. All the toner washed out in a week. As, you can see in the pictures now my hair is orange on the bottom layer and light blonde on the top. Then I called the salon and told them what was going on. I booked with a different stylist, Marissa. She toned my hair again and it looked fine when I left but the toner washes out in around 4 washes. So my hair is still 2 different colors. I then asked for a refund because I had been in 3 times to get my hair fixed and it was still discolored. Marissa said " I am not refunding you because you've had 3 times worth of work and toner, sorry for your troubles". Anyways, be careful. I do not recommend for brunettes.

Owner is very vindictive and will rob you of your money. Do not book with this salon. SAVE YOUR MONEY. And, multiple times has this salon/owner come up with multiple excuses as to why she has had to push my appointments around, multiple multiple multiple times. Shameful.

(Reply to salons reply)(I have called several times with no response) Worst hair experience ever ! I started out light red and was trying to go to here (I will include photos I showed hair dresser) and ended up on last photo !!! They still had the nerve to try to charge me 360!!!! When I was literally crying and I ended up paying 160!! They all together bleached my hair 2 times and did a color remover … had to chop my hair I told them I was growing out and it is destroyed (The previous appointment I told hair colorist is was my dream to have long healthy blonde hair She bleached my hair the first time and we settled on a red color …. For me to have gone through 2 bleacheings just to get a horrible black color is unbelievable)

I've visited twice. Just moved to ColumbiaSC in Dec2023. Have had the deva-cut with Skylar Maye for both visits. She is talented, detailed, meticulous & precise with each strand of hair to perfection. Skylar has a winning personality and will make you feel right at home. A good lady. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! Marissa was very responsive and accommodating during the scheduling process. I came to my appointment with a photo of the highlights/ lowlights I wanted to achieve and my stylist, Lexi, asked very insightful questions to determine what part of the photo I liked and didn’t like. I have been told by other stylists at different salons that I have very thick hair and it can be a lot to cut/ color- but Lexi had no problem ensuring everything was perfect. She also answered my millions of questions about the best way to style my hair and what tools to use. The relaxing atmosphere, cute space, and welcoming team made my experience even better. I love my new hair and will most definitely be making this my new salon!

Not impressed. Booked an appointment a week and a half ago. Required to provide a credit card to even book the appointment. Read the EXTENSIVE disclaimers and rules provided in the confirmation email. I had booked the appointment with the owner. After reading the small print found out she was not taking new clients and I would be booked with someone else. I sent an email to confirm that I would be booked with someone else and never received a response. Received multiple text messages confirming and reminding me of the appointment. Today at 11am before my 11:30 am appointment I receive a phone call saying they are having scheduling issues and need to cancel and is there any other time I could come in. No, I will not let you waste my time again. This for a Deva Curl haircut that starts at $89. Spend your money elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing. I’ve been searching for years for a hair stylist that can properly care for my curls without charging hundreds of dollars for service. Shannon made me feel like we were on a friend date and everything was so comfortable. She talked me through each step, making sure I was happy as we went along. The space is a whole vibe and perfect for those who want service in a cozy, intimate environment. Highly recommend Shannon for curls, and biracial hair.

I used to drive 5 hours to get my hair done. The only other salon I tried in Columbia I didn’t like and took a risk going to see Marisa. I wish I had found her sooner! She’s funny and amazing at what she does! We started with a consult, got a quote and got started on my hair! Been loving every haircut and color she’s given me! She was upfront when she told me it was gonna be a process to get me the color I wanted, which I appreciated! 20/10, will always recommend!

LINA IS AMAZING! I’m so happy with my hair! Typically I hate sitting for long periods but Lina made it literally so fun. I brought in a picture thinking to myself “things never come out like the photo” but she replicated the picture perfectly and I got exactly what I was asking for! Phenomenally nice person as well. Shannon is amazing! I had my second curly cut with her today and she not only listened to what I wanted, but delivered. She is incredibly talented and knows what curly hair needs and how to cut it in a way that suits each person according to their curl patterns and hair type. I appreciate that she takes the time to explain what she’s doing as she’s cutting my hair. I’m grateful to have found someone who can tame my mop! 😃

Shannon is excellent!! I have gotten two Deva cuts from her and my curls have never looked better. She is also comfortable with conversation or silence, which is important to me as an introvert.
