Ashley is the best hairdresser I've ever gone to. I've been going to her for all my wild hair ideas for the past few years, and I will not trust anyone else with my hair again. If I ever move out of Portland I will have to travel back just for her. I get a lot of vivid colors, and change my mind constantly, and Ashley is always just as excited as me about what we're doing next. P.S. if you have bangs you can trust Ashley with them; I've had terrible bang cuts previously, but I'm not scared of getting them cut anymore.

I have been with Amanda Eakin for 12 years through multiple chairs and locations including this changeover to Moss & Stone Hair with new management. The subtle upgrades at Moss & Stone create a more welcoming space, including a changing room for a robe that I never knew existed before!! Thank you Amanda and the new team for a great place to relax for a few hours while getting pampered.

This place is AMAZING! The salon is gorgeous and inviting, and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. A friend referred me to this salon and to stylist Emily Natale. It can always be a bit nerve-racking to start with a new stylist. Not with Emily! She listened to me, asked questions, and worked with me to help me achieve all my hair goals! She's an incredible talent and she's got a client for life with me! :)

Ashley does the most amazing hair. I no longer live in town and still travel to get my hair done by her because no one else compares. She nails my haircut every time which is hard with curly hair. She also gets the color perfect, no matter how many crazy ideas I come in with. I would recommend anyone to go see her!

Emily is the "Balayage Master", great stylist and amazing person. I have been seeing Emily for years. She never disappoints, whether you are in for something simple or have decided to go blonde. I was most recently in for a very overdue cut and color. She cut beautiful layers into my hair so that it will air dry curly, I love love love my cut. I left with shinny, bouncy, gorgeous hair. The new space is beautiful, welcoming and very clean. Book an apt. now!!

I first went to Ashley after another salon in the area ruined my hair and have been going with her ever since. Moss and Stone is by far one of my favorites places to get my hair done. I’ve always been anxious and uncomfortable getting my hair done and from the first time I went to Ashley I felt comfortable and at ease. This salon is an extension of Ashley’s work and it feels clean and well cared for.

I have been going to Emily Natale for years for all my hair needs. She is fantastic and more than once has saved my hair when I have strayed or had a hair oopsie from trying my own thing at home. She spends time discussing what I want vs. what I need, doesn't rush, has great style and is the definition of perfect when it comes to haircutting and coloring. I highly recommended making an appointment to see the magic for yourself.

Let me start off by saying I’m someone who researches EVERY salon like crazy and am extremely particular about who I choose for my hair. After a few so-so appointments, I discovered Ashley and her incredible salon! I’ve been back so many times and feel so grateful to have found someone who absolutely kills the cut and color every single time! I love changing up my hair and Ashley not only listens so well, but she gets down with the science and shows hair samples and explains what would work best and cares deeply about your hair health. She’s also an absolute blast to hang out with and has such a friendly, easy-going vibe I just can’t wait to see her again! I just can’t recommend her or Moss enough 🤗

Love the vibe and feel of the salon. It’s so welcoming and warm, great selection of products to aid in styling with no pressure to purchase. I see Emily as my stylist here and I always leave so happy with my hair. For me, easy to care for, low maintenance hair that looks and feels good is the best. She has even successfully helped me grow out my bangs, something I was not able to do before. My step daughter said I looked like an actress the last time I left here so I’d say that’s a win!

Recently visited my girlfriend while she was getting her hair did up all fancy. Ashley is the best. I felt very welcome and my girlfriend’s hair looks wicked good. I say wicked because the resident ghost, Bob, helped with the tin foil. Ten out of 5 stars.

This salon is gorgeous! The decor is so gorgeous and there’s lots of cute hair products/hair clips/and jewelry available to buy. I got my hair cut and subtly lightened for spring with Erika and she did such a fantastic job! She really listened to my vision and made the process feel very calm and intentional. She also respected that I had a really busy week and wasn’t in the mood to talk the whole time. I felt like I was really able to zen out and relax without and judgement. I have a lot of hair so it took a while for all the foils to be placed, but she took great care of me and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend booking with Erika if you’re looking for a for a friendly and quality stylist!

When I moved to Portland I had a hard time finding a stylist that specialized in natural color! I was so relieved to have found Emily and have never looked back! We frequently adjust highlights, lowlights, gloss, etc. based on the season or what I’m feeling at the moment and I always leave with a glow up and my hair looking fresh, healthy, and natural! Can’t recommend her enough - thanks Emily!
