I had Amanda Vincent all day for a vivid color, cut and Brazilian Straightening treatment, I cannot express how much this salon changed my life. I have thick curly hair and have never been happy with any service up until this point. Amanda is so knowledgeable and didn’t even get sick of me after a 7 hour appointment. I walked away happy and felt so understood! The Brazilian will change your life, their colors are incredible and you feel like a friend from the moment you walk in. I will absolutely be back.

Melina at Motive Salon is sooo good I waited until I was back in Pittsburgh (now living in Philly) to get my hair cut so that Melina could do it. Well worth the wait! My hair looks and feels incredible!

I see Amanda, but all of the stylists are wonderful and friendly. My hair always comes out great and I am a fan of getting crazy colors. They offer snacks and drinks.

10/10 would recommend! The total experience I had with everyone at the salon was amazing! I never thought I could hate my hair so much after getting the worst highlights done by a different salon. After being recommended to try Motive salon, I called and spoke to Breanne who listened to my concerns and wanted to help figure out a reasonable solution to fix my hair. She recommend that I book an apt with Judy and I'm so glad I did! Judy is truly gifted! She knew exactly how to fix my hair in the healthiest way that suited me entirely. Also, she is very precise and knowledgeable. I love how my hair turned out and Judy has helped me map out my 'hair healing journey', so I will be back to see her again!

I booked my mom for an appointment with Melina and she was absolutely thrilled with her work! She's already gone to see her twice and has told me how amazing she is. I was admittedly shy myself entering the salon for the first time, but everyone there immediately was very welcoming and understanding toward me! I cannot possibly thank them enough for such an amazing first impression.

I loved how my hair was cut and styled at the salon. I love how my haircut naturally dries at home, too! Ish is knowledgeable. They helped me achieve my hair goals. Ish definitely carries passion and is precise with all techniques. I would recommend Motive Salon to a friend. Thanks again 😁💫

All the staff is great. Carleen has seen my kiddo several times now and I am convinced she really knows her stuff. My child left today with the widest smile ever after their cut. The environment is relaxed, welcoming, and friendly. I highly recommend it!

Couldn't asked for a better stylist than Nicole. She was really nice and fixed my crooked undercut which I did,lol. The vibe in that salon was great I suffer from bad anxiety/social anxiety and felt so calm and relaxed. You can be yourself in this salon!!!

I came the day before my wedding for highlights, haircut and styling with Carleen and was incredibly disappointed by the lack of direction followed (she decidedly independently to use hair dye instead of toner for highlights, against my requests, and without informing me until after the fact), the inconsistent color pattern (which forced me to part my hair at the side…Carleen did offer to fix it but I had already been there for 3+ hours, and I had my rehearsal dinner to go to in a few short hours), and the prices. I was told in the middle of the service that they charge by time (not clear on their website when I booked the appointment and I wasn’t told beforehand), so the highlights and haircut + style was $400. Unreal. If I my hair looked great, I would have been okay with the price, but it didn’t. And the reason it took so long was not thoroughness, but incompetence. Expecting me to pay extra for time whenever the stylist is taking extra time because she's made mistakes is ridiculous.

Judy gave me the best haircut Ive ever had. The best decision I could have made was giving Judy creative freedom. She was able to style my hair with a cut like I’ve never had before. My new cut compliments my face shape and gives me the volume that I have been lacking all of my life. I really appreciate Judy’s eye for detail and personalizing the cut with my features and wants in mind. Will definitely book again with Judy! 10/10 recommend!

Judy was great, gave me the best haircut I've ever had, no exaggeration! It was my first hair appointment in years and first ever at Motive, and I was actually scared to go into the salon because of how bad I felt my hair looked. But Judy set those worries at ease almost as soon as I walked in, and within an hour my hair looked amazing. She was a joy to work with, she loves what she does, and she really knows her stuff. Just a great experience, will definitely go back, cannot recommend strongly enough.

Nichole was fantastic. She listened to me, to my concerns and my thoughts on my hair! She got it just as I had wanted!!! I will definitely be coming back! Maybe some fun colors next time! She was very personable and funny. As someone with Autism, I felt totally comfortable with Nichole and in the salon! Fantastic stylist!!! Everyone in the salon was fantastic. The atmosphere was totally a chill, relaxing vibe! If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing, good stylists, Motive is the place to go!!!

Got a haircut from Nichole and she was great! Very easy to converse with, which is usually my least favorite thing about getting my hair cut at a salon. I was in and out in 30 mins, parking was easy, easy to book online, price was very reasonable.
