When I walked in I was really amazed. Moxie is definitely a different vibe but was so beautiful and unique. My stylist was Genevieve. She was very down to earth and listened to what I wanted. I left with my hair feeling and looking so much better.

I think I had the worst hair experience of my life at this salon. I called Moxie early last week and asked if they had a blonde specialist. I wanted to schedule a haircut and a consult for highlights I was recommended a hair stylist by the man who answered the phone and booked my appointment for Saturday morning. When I arrived, everyone seemed very friendly. I told my stylist I wanted a trim and wispy bangs, longer on the sides with face framing pieces. When she cut my bangs, I noticed you could see one eyebrow and not the other, and they were in a thick, heavy, crooked line. She asked if I wanted them any shorter. They weren't even straight! I told her I was a bit worried they weren't what I wanted. She kept chopping and I started crying. I had to tell her they looked better and to please stop. She did ask what she could do to fix it, but they were already incredibly short, only covering about half of my forehead. I left with choppy, awkwardly short and thick bangs. No face framing, and my hair felt very dry. I think she may have cut all my former face framing pieces into bangs. I kept crying as I checked out, and paid in full for my terrible haircut. The person at the front said they hoped I had a better day. My day did get better, I put on a hat. I would not recommend this salon. I was very happy to see all of the positive reviews, and that's why I reached out to them. I genuinely thought if I called and stated what I was looking for, they'd recommend someone who could cut and color my hair. That is not the case at this salon. I'm very glad I only did a haircut and consult and didn't let her bleach my hair.

Shyanna is a wizard with the scissors for turning me from drab to fab after half a year of no haircuts. She went above and beyond my wildest dreams and now I look and feel better than ever. Moxie salon is the best in the city without a doubt. Perfect ambiance, always friendly faces, and good central location. A winner on all fronts.

So this is the second time I get my haircut and highlighted from Shyanna. She did an amazing job each time. I was extremely pleased with my hair as was my husband. The first time I was a bit scared since I’d never highlighted my hair before and it’s been one color all my life . Upon speaking to her and telling her what I wanted she made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the products she was going to put in my hair. I never realized how long it takes to get your hair highlighted, but for this amazing job, I will continue to do it. Thanks again Shyanna you are amazing! 🤩

Best hair ever? Moxie. Trust me, Moxie Salon, just go. All the stylists are amazing. Maddie is the owner and the stylist/artist who makes everything more beautiful than it was before. I move every few years and I visit just to have her highlight my thick long hair. She is is fun and patient. Bonus, her salon is designed for the family in mind. It is large, spacious and welcome. You won’t feel like you are inhaling hair product the entire time. She moved her salon from Alamo Heights to offer all of these amenities. See you soon Maddi and Moxie!

I’ve been going to Avery at another salon and she is so worth following to Moxie. She’s so sweet and takes her time to get what you want. The outcome is always fabulous and my hair is so healthy. Make the time and I promise you won’t go anywhere else.

I love coming to this hair salon. The atmosphere and the people are just the best to be around. Jade Rodriguez has been my hairstylist for almost 10 years and she is absolutely the best at cuts and at coloring. I’ve even had the honor of having her do my wedding hair for me and it came out absolutely perfect. Highly recommended

Loved going to Moxie! It’s such a beautiful & earthy salon. Honestly it was the first time going into a salon and feeling revitalized plus I wasn’t suffocated by the smell of hair products! ( all the plants are working their beautiful magic) the staff is extremely friendly & welcoming. I sat in Jades chair & she is absolutely AMAZING at what she does. My hair is soft & so vibrant. Absolutely do NOT get any services done by Genevieve! I asked for a simple face frame with layers and received a mullet. I was traumatized and waited about 5 months for my next haircut. My new hair stylist said it was the worst haircut she had seen in a while. Stay away from Moxie’s!

I have been coming to Moxie now for the past two years, I see the stylist Shy she is absolutely amazing at what she does, she may be younger, but is an amazing hairstylist who always make me feel beautiful after every visit. A newer addition to Moxie is the front desk Michael, he is definitely the best front desk I've seen at Moxie since I've started coming. He is super helpful and just makes me smile everytime I see him as I walk in.

I was in need of a change and stylist, fast! I stumbled upon Moxie online. I gave them a call and was greeted by their receptionist. He was very kind and gave me all the information I needed (im not able to remember his name at the time). He was able to fit me in with Isabel as quickly as he could. When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist that I spoke to over the phone. He was very sweet and had a very warm welcoming smile. The salon itself was very clean, very pretty, and every way I turned my head there was something to look at. They had plants, decorations, colorful lights. Honestly, the vibe was super relaxing. Not long after my arrival Isabel greeted me with a nice big smile. She sat me down and asked all the necessary questions, listened to what I liked and disliked, and worked with me to figure out what I wanted done to my hair. She was very understanding that I was a little scared to cut my long hair and she was able to ease me into it. Isabel was fantastic! Not only is she a very talented stylist she is also a great conversationalist with a sense of humor. That is greatly appreciated. My haircut itself is very nice. She was able to help me with my waves/curls. I'm super happy with the results. 10/10 I would go back to Moxie and would love for Isabel to be my stylist from now on. If you're thinking about visiting Moxie I definitely would. You'll be super happy.

Kennedy did an awesome job color correcting and achieving my end goal. She was very patient with all my questions. There were a couple color things needing to be tweeked during the blowout, and she listened to my requests, also brought in the owner for her opinion, and executed perfectly. I am very pleased with the final look.

Such a welcoming salon! The whole vibe is absolutely perfect and exactly where I want to be for a day off pampering. My hair always turns out better than I had in mind at the start. This place has a super cool vibe and everyone is very friendly. Jade has been my colorist and stylist for 10 years. She’s a magician when it comes to color and the razor. I have thick long hair with different textures and lots of layers, so her techniques are perfect for me. I also appreciate her kind heart, creative spirit and respect her passion to evolve as a stylist/business woman. If you’re looking for someone out of the ordinary I’d definitely check her out.

This place is incredible, but my favorite thing about it hands down is my stylist Jade Rodriguez. She is an incredibly talented colorist and I always walk away from her chair feeling like the very best version of me. In the couple years I’ve been going to her, my hair has transformed from a post-Covid damaged rats nest to the healthiest and most beautiful it’s ever been. Book her asap y’all, she’s going places and it’s only gonna get harder to find room on her schedule.

Went to Moxie on super short notice for a much needed haircut! Dani did excellent! I showed her some pictures of what I was going for, and she nailed it. The salon itself is awesome! Super clean and fun atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
