I used MU8 for my wedding this past weekend and they did such a phenomenal job! The communication Patrice provides throughout the process is top notch. They really took the time to figure out what I wanted and liked and then perfectly reproduced that on me for my wedding day. I cannot recommend MU8 enough for a fellow bride and bridal party!

I'm a lil late to leaving a review but wanted to take some time to give the MU8 team that worked with me a huge shoutout. I got married in late September and coordinating with MU8 was seamless and wonderful. They are so organized, responded very promptly to all my emails, and the owner Patrice is such a kind gem and I had nothing but great interactions with her. MU8 keeps you on your timeline, are very transparent about everything, and just kind and professional overall. Now for the team that worked with me the day. They were nothing short of amazing, Colleen, one of the hairstylists, had endless patience as my girls were trickling in. She had so much flexibility and sometimes there were long waiting periods for her, but she was so cheerful and so incredible upon arrival. Also Sammi my hairstylist- amazing, amazing, amazing. The compliments for my hair were ENDLESS all throughout the night. She just nailed it and my hair looked as good as it did when I started the day and I was headbanging hard-core on the dance floor and our karaoke after party. It did not budge. I still am wowed by her skills. And Madison, one of the makeup artists for my girls, is the queen of good vibes and a true sweetheart. She was also so supportive of my last minute decision to do my own makeup (I used to do makeup myself a looooong time ago and at the last second had a change of heart and actually wanted to try to do my own for my day), and was there to just give me a second opinion once I was done. She and Sammi set up downstairs in the bi-level hotel where I was hanging out for most of the morning and we all had such fun conversations and the girls were vibing hard-core. I can't recommend MU8 enough, my girls looked amazing, the talent from these hair and makeup gals is unmatched, and everyone looks so beautiful in their photos. I had whopping 8 girls in my entourage and they are more than equipped to handle a bigger bridal party. Most importantly, we all had a good time. The morning of can be so stressful for a bride but MU8 took ALL that stress away.

I chose MU8 for their makeup service on my wedding day and it was the best decision I could’ve made! Firstly, Patrice is so friendly and easy to talk to. I told her about my concerns with my bridal party being varied skin tones and she assured me that they would all look great. Our artist was Frankie and she fit in right along with us as we got ready the morning of the wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure my look was what I asked for. I’ve never felt more beautiful! I’m so happy I chose MU8 for my bridal beauty team!

I truly cannot thank MU8 enough for all of their hard work leading up to and on the day of my wedding. Me, my mom, my MIL, and all of my bridesmaids felt and looked BEAUTIFUL on the big day, and it is entirely due to their dedication and positive energy. Patrice’s patience with me through this process, working with me over the past year to make sure I loved BOTH of my looks and working an extra long day to ensure me and my girls looked fabulous and special for 20 HOURS, was a highlight for me. They are experts at what they do, understanding and prioritizing a diverse range of hair and skin tones. All of the MU8 stylists take feedback extremely well, and as a people pleaser who has a hard time articulating what she likes and doesn’t like, this was a game changer for me. After doing a lot of research, I found the MU8 prices extremely affordable and reasonable - especially for the level of service I received. If you need hair and makeup for any occasion, look no further than MU8.

MU8 was.a dream!! From my first call with Patrice to the big day, Patrice and team were AMAZING at every step of the way. As background, I'm Latina who wears her hair naturally curly. My six bridesmaids come from different racial backgrounds and, as such, have different, beautiful skin tones. When I was doing research on bridal hair and make-up in Philly, it was SHOCKINGLY hard to find any company that appreciated and embraced diversity. So, imagine how lucky I felt when I serendipitously came across MU8! From the website to the pictures, it was VERY CLEAR that diversity was a value. And sure enough, it was. I can go on and on about the wonderful MU8 but I will just say this. Patrice, Frankie, and team made me feel seen. When I told Patrice that I wanted to get married with my naturally curly hair, she worked with me to find a look that I ADORED. Patrice and Frankie also worked with all my bridesmaids on their make up and every single one of them LOVED their look. Frankie did my make up (and my mom and grandma)...and my gosh. The look was GLORIOUS. On top of that, the team came in the morning of with so much sunshine on a cloudy, shower-y day. All in all, I count my lucky stars to have met MU8. Finding the perfect hair and makeup artists for your wedding is such a stressful process because every bride wants their look to be perfect. I am beyond thankful that I had the MU8 team to deliver the most gorgeous looks for me and my girls on my wedding day! I knew from the first call I had with Patrice that her team would be experienced professionals and they would bring the fun and relaxing vibe that all brides deserve on their wedding day. To say that my hair was a dream would be an understatement! Sammi absolutely killed it and my gorgeous glam waves lasted all night. Brielle was our makeup artist and if I could have her do my makeup for every event or wedding I go to from here on out, I would. My makeup was flawless and didn’t budge through my tears or standing in the hot sun during my ceremony. Patrice and her team were also very flexible when I had a few last minute add-ons (hair and makeup for my MIL) the night before the wedding. If you’re a bride in the Philly area, you will not find a better team to make you look and feel your best on your wedding day!

I hired MU8 for my wedding. Overall I am very pleased with my final look. Patrice, the owner, was a fabulous guide throughout this process. Turns out, most of what you see on Instagram and Pinterest is full glam with filters and makes it look natural when it's a lot of makeup. Learned some new things. She was available to listen to my feedback and help me deliver it to my stylists in a productive manner so that I could achieve my desired noticed but natural look for the big day. They were also very kind to keep me aware of deadlines for adding services and super communicative with my planners leading up to the big day. Also I have to point out that Yulia is a master with the curling iron! She styled 6 of us with different curled styles and was so sweet despite the early morning! If I had to do it again, I would hire MU8. All of my entourage was super happy with their looks, felt confident, and looked stunning. My makeup stayed put even though I was sobbing tears of joy before I even got in my dress!! They really know what they are doing!

I wholeheartedly recommend MU8 for hair and makeup for your wedding!! I also did the facial package leading up to my big day and my skin has never looked so flawless. Patrice is such an awesome person, she makes you feel right at home right off the bat and will be your biggest cheerleader!! Women uplifting women!! My girls and I looked so breathtaking on my husband and my wedding day. I initially did not feel that my makeup compared to my trial and my makeup artist made sure she fixed it and I felt my most beautiful! I could not have asked for a better team and you could not ask for a better group of women to take care of you on your big day! They also got us finished in record time it was amazing!!

Patrice and Colleen were absolutely wonderful for my wedding. Patrice and Colleen are extremely friendly, kind, and are open to any idea you have regarding make up. For my wedding day versus trial, I definitely changed things up on Patrice going for a softer make up look, and she did an exceptional job. Patrice is extremely professional and throughout the process fully transparent in timelines and pricing. Colleen can create beauty out of any type of hair. My bridesmaids and myself all have very different types of hair, and she was able to make us all look absolutely stunning. Patrice and her team were just incredible. Our group of 13 walked away not only looking gorgeous, but feeling gorgeous. They masterfully styled all different hair types. I am a curly bride with very thick hair, and before this experience, every stylist required that I show up with straight hair. Not MU8. I was able to handle my curls naturally as usual and they enhanced and styled them to perfection. It was eye opening to see what the beauty industry could be for curly hair girls. I am just in awe of this amazing team and so highly recommend them.

I got my first ever spray tan done by Patrice, and I absolutely loved the whole experience! The salon is clean and bright, Patrice was friendly and professional, and she was helpful in having me pick the right shade since I was inexperienced. As a woman of color, I never thought I would get a spray tan, but Patrice did a great job of matching my spray tan color to the natural tan I get in the summer. She also is a very good communicator and was quick to respond to her Facebook DMs with any questions I had before the appointment. I would highly recommend MU8 Bridal Beauty to anyone!

It’s hard to find a beauty bar like this. Just one place that specializes in hairstyling, makeup, spray tans and skin care but not a full service salon. It’s always fun and good vibes. When you walk in, you feel like you’ve known everyone forever. The space its self is so cute and modern, they have refreshments and it’s immaculate. You can tell Patrice is constantly investing back into the business to provide that luxe experience.

I had the pleasure of working with Patrice and Madison, and I cannot say enough great things. Not only are they insanely AMAZING at what they do, but they are also FUN. From the minute I had my consultation call with Patrice, I knew MU8 was the perfect fit for our wedding day! Patrice has the greatest personality- from the initial consultation call you could tell she is professional, knowledgable, willing to keep it real, and so much fun. I cannot recommend MU8 Bridal Beauty enough. The whole process from start to finish was immaculate. On our intro call, Patrice was pragmatic, calming and knowledgeable. And the vibe remained through my wedding day. Frankie did my squad's makeup and Yuliia did hair. And they both absolutely nailed it. I've never felt hotter than on my wedding day. Frankie and Yuliia were so much fun while being extremely professional, and created a relaxed atmosphere while getting ready. They were both quick to pivot based on my group's requests to adjust elements of their hair and makeup and still finished earlier than anticipated. My whole group was over the moon with their final looks. I also took advantage of MU8's hair and makeup trial as well as the spray tan leading up to the wedding day. My spray tan was *chef's kiss* and looked so natural. All around, the experience was 10/10 and booking MU8 was one of the greatest decisions I made during the wedding planning process.

I cannot thank Patrice and her team enough for an incredible job in transforming my I Do Crew and I into straight goddesses. We had a diverse range of ages, skin textures and tones to contend with, but Patrice and Sarah did an exceptional job getting to know everyone's preferences and vision for their look. My mother-in-law, a tough banana who typically wears little to no makeup and speaks no English, was so pleased with Sarah's work she asked that I translate how much she loved it. There are seemingly endless options when it comes to bridal makeup. I've had bridal makeup done before as a bridesmaid and can honestly say there is no other artist who has made me feel as comfortable in my own skin as Patrice and her team have. MU8 not only met my expectations, they far surpassed and exceeded them! Yes, the hair and makeup on myself and my bridesmaids, my mom, and mom in law was incredible, but I think what makes Madison, Yuliia, and Patrice extra special is how they carry themselves and set the tone for the day. They all arrived early, set up and finished ahead of schedule. Their demeanors eased us all into the day and started the day off on the right foot. They made us all feel calm and relaxed at the start of the day and had us laughing the whole time! This enabled me to carry that calm and lightheartedness throughout the day, by making the first part of it go flawlessly. I have never felt more beautiful and judging by my friends’ reactions, I could say the same for them. I also appreciate that the team was able to work on diverse hair textures and skin textures and colors. Everyone looked amazing! Finally, I appreciate that any feedback I gave after the trial and adjustments my bridesmaids wanted to make were quickly acknowledged and adjusted so that everyone could feel their best and like themselves. Prides themselves in individualized approach but gave me a one size fits all one. Posted passive aggressive IG stories following trial. Posted a vid of me without letting me know. I know I signed up for that in signing the contract but heads up would’ve been nice. Took my suggestions in adjustments personally and overall did not deliver the look I asked for and worked so hard to communicate, respectfully, multiple times. Too expensive to be having that experience imo. Trial itself had me down $300. I booked for the good energy and emphasis on individualization in their videos. Wedding day, bad/awkward energy all around. Horrible start to my day. I felt like I was torturing her. She didn’t even prep me the way she said she would and then ran out the door when she was finished. I tried so hard to get on the right foot with her. Why would I want to beef with the person doing my face for my wedding? My experience makes me sad more than anything. I refuse to believe I was difficult. I did not pull inspo from their page bc there weren’t any East Asian women with the look I wanted. But I trusted bc she’s a pro and what I wanted is not as complex as what they have featured. Like, the Hollywood waves they do take a lot of experience and talent. What I wanted wasn’t nearly as complicated. And it was so hard to ask for a warm, monochromatic makeup look; color washed across eyelid. Kept giving me cool/dark brown outer corner trial day and wedding day. My eyes looked smaller. Not to mention issues with blending, symmetry, and setting I was too scared to bring up. I unfollowed and wrote this after seeing their story as to why they don’t offer trials before booking bc their process is “individualized”, “proven”, “successful” and they are too experienced to be “auditioning”. Well, I wish there was a trial. Great for brides going for one look. Bad overall experience for me personally.

Seeing Patrice first thing on wedding day immediately put me at ease - from helping us configure the getting ready space to wedding pep talks, I’m so glad she was a part of our day! Her crew of two makeup artists and two hair stylists showed up early, with great energy. I really appreciated how Patrice was so communicative throughout the process. I was nervous finding a MUA for my wedding party because my girls represent a diverse group of skin tones, skin textures, hair types, and styles. Patrice was only person I found where I felt like I could trust her to make all of my girls feel their best. I opted to do a trial run with my natural curls and I’m so glad I did! My MIL followed me around with her camera phone all day when she saw my trial makeup, and I was also able to communicate some changes I wanted in eye shadow color and curl pattern, which Patrice executed FLAWLESSLY on wedding day. My makeup stayed put all day, and my curls even looked ready to go the following morning for post-wedding festivities. I would highly recommend Patrice and MU8 in general!

The MU8 team are awesome! From booking to the trial to my wedding morning, they kept me up to date and informed on every step of the process. If you're like me, you've had some unfortunate hair and make-up done for special events in the past, so I was anxious about who I booked for my own wedding. I had a good feeling about MU8 from the beginning, and I'm so glad I chose them! My hair and make-up was exactly how I wanted it, and better yet it lasted through heat, sweat, and a rainy day. Most of my bridesmaids also got services done, and the MU8 team listened to each of their likes and dislikes and helped create a unique look for each of them. Book MU8 for your big day! I was lucky enough to have Patrice & Frankie as my makeup squad for my wedding in December and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. From the first inquiry, Patrice was responsive and thorough in explaining how the booking, trial and day of would run with MU8 on my team. (Not a very common experience in the wedding industry…) My mom was able to get a makeup trial with me and the morning at MU8’s beauty studio was so fun! It was just that too, a trial. Frankie and Patrice listened to what we thought we wanted, made adjustments when needed and even encouraged trying different variations of the makeup to ensure we loved the final version. Flash forward to the day of, they brought just enough energy to keep it light and fun, listened to my entourages wants and made everyone feel like the best version of themselves! I’ve been in nine weddings and this was by far my favorite and most natural makeup experience. Thank you ladies! You’re killing the game!!

Patrice, Frankie and Genessa did an amazing job helping me and my entourage get ready for our big day! Patrice was super wonderful and responsive in the lead-up to the wedding and made organizing the details very easy, from the hair/makeup trial a couple of months beforehand (recommended) to the morning itself, despite the numerous changes and general chaos that comes with any big event. My entourage was large and very diverse, but everyone was loved how their makeup turned out. I loved my bridal hair and makeup and haven't felt that glamorous in well, ever. Highly recommend!
