I called yesterday to reschedule a previous appointment with Donna, which had been canceled due to the weather. We set a new time for 1:45 p.m. today, and I even received a confirmation text this morning and clicked the link to confirm on my end. When I arrived at my appointment time, the salon was locked and the open sign was off. I left a message on the machine asking for my deposit back. Twelve minutes later, Donna texted me saying she had car trouble. I guess it didn’t occur to her to cancel her appointments until she could fulfill them. It's unfortunate that this is how the business is run because Donna did amazing work on my hair in November. It's also worth noting that this same thing happened to my boyfriend at this salon in December. Get a grip.

I wish I had found her sooner! My daughter has beautiful coily hair and it was very flat but long. After the cut, her hair is full of life. You can tell she knows hair and she used so much less product than anyone else ever has. I am in love with this curly cut!

I had an appointment with Donna and was told shortly after I arrived that she was running late which turned into her being sick and not coming in. I understood and said I would reschedule later. My daughter had an appointment that same day with Christy in the afternoon and we showed up and the doors were locked and they were gone. No explanation. I called and left a message and still never heard back. Hoping they respond to this review with an answer. Twice in one day our time was wasted—and no one reached out to make it right.

I love this salon! It's clean & efficient, with warm & friendly personnel attending to their clients. Michelle is great with my hair. I have very short hair and she can have me washed, cut, & dried in about 20-25 minutes. That's great for someone who needs to get in and out quickly.

They are simply awesome, I was super late and my own fault, I still got a hair cut in whatever time was left in my appointment. I appreciate her patience with me! I come up from Mississippi for a Hair Cut, 100% worth it

This is a combined review for Christy and Donna. They both deserve 10 stars not 5! My first impression of the salon was great! It’s very warm and inviting! The salon is spotless. The decor is in style and attractive. Should I even mention the coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea and water that is offered as you walk in?!? Love the coffee bar! Little details do matter! I had an awesome first appointment! Christy absolutely knows her skill, very experienced and is a wonderful hair stylist! My hair was extremely dark and I had no idea what to ask for, I just knew it needed to be lightened. She was amazing at figuring out what would look fabulous on me! My oldest daughter also saw Christy for a first appointment and was very happy and pleased! Her confidence level was through the roof when we left. My youngest daughter is a curly girl. Donna saw her for the first time. Donna specializes in curly hair. And oh my, there is a reason she has 5 stars. This is definitely a specialty that she knows very well and is amazing. Such a difference she made on my youngest. Donna was absolutely wonderful with her. Not only did she cut and style her curly hair but she went over step by step instructions on how to wash and style it on her own and how to use the products. Such an awesome teaching experience. Donna was very kind, patient and answered any questions we had! These beautiful ladies are amazing! You can see the love they have for their clients. Every client is different & special and they treat you as such! We are very happy and I cannot say enough good things about them! My only regret is that we didn’t go to them sooner. Thank you so much, ladies!

Christy is awesome. She is patient, listens and understands. I have been in Chesapeake for 4 years and thought I would never again have a good haircut. But today I finally feel like myself again. Christy listened, looked at my picture and made magic happen. She is the best. God bless you!!

Christy did an excellent job with Carly's long layers. She also styled her long straight hair with some curls. I didn't know my beautiful girl could be any more beautiful. Thank you Christy!!!!!! She LOVES it! (BTW 2 hrs later....curls still holding)

I came in with split ends, the frizziest, dryest hair, and some awful bangs I cut myself the night prior. I asked for some layering that might at least somewhat fix the botched bang job I gave myself, and I left with a head full of hydrated natural curls and a haircut I would've gladly paid significantly more for. It's like she read my mind, and she taught me all about how to take care of my curls in the process. They work MIRACLES at Muse, y'all.

Michelle did a beautiful job on my hair, as usual. She even fit my daughter in for an overall color when her appointment time was missed. When you leave Michelle’s chair, you feel pretty and just in a better mood because she always makes it fun. Love her!

Christy was above and beyond amazing! I made an appointment so I could come during my lunch break and she did everything in her power to make sure I got a gorgeous hair cut and could still get back to work on time. She’s a great conversationalist and made it feel like I’ve known her forever. I haven’t had a professional hair cut in years but I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you Christy!! ❤️

I believe I have found my stylist. Being new to the area and already having a bad haircut had me a bit scissor shy. Husband researched for me and we gave Muse a shot. Christy gave me no reason to doubt how good she is and I will remain a loyal customer for as long as she’s in business. 10/10

I definitely recommend this place! Today was my first time going and it is a very cute and clean salon. They are very friendly and welcoming. Donna is very knowledgeable about curly hair and made my daughter’s day with her curly cut! If you have curly hair you should definitely give them a call!

I ‘m a curly hair girl, looking for new stylist and met with Donna for a consultation. Donna is professional and educated in her craft, she explained in detail her approach for cutting curls as well as discussing hair products, which is extremely important to me. I scheduled an appointment and looking forward to a new start.
