Great, experience. Clean salon right in midtown. Although it took a little time before starting due to pre-parting hair. I love my hair. Book them, I did not listen to the negative reviews. Some people are just not appreciative

The braids itself are okay, but she didn't braid my hair down though. When I asked, she said doesn't braid it down. It's half done & she didn't know how to part my hair. Another braider had to part my hair. The bottom half of my hair is ugly & undone. I highly recommend if you want undone braids. I've had braids all my life & never seen anything like this. She also started almost a hr late smh. In response from you, I didn't want extra length. I said my hair was left unbraided which means it wasn't finished, im currently braiding it down due to it being half done. like i said before, this is not my first time getting my hair braided. the new braiders come up with anything to not finish hair. I came to your studio at least 20 mins prior to the appointment time i picked so how were you waiting on me? She didnt say anything to me until after 10 mins she was there.

I give this experience 2/5. The girl who was braiding my hair became a bit more gentle once I told her I was tender headed, The braids looks pretty, but personally I didn’t like how she parted it. When I came, I got charged $30 extra because my hair was shorter in the back, and got told that I should have told (owner)her that it was shorter in the back when there was nothing in the description about telling her. As I said, I’m tender headed. The girl told me, the tighter it is the longer it’ll last. Personally, my scalp suffered because of her braiding so tightly. A few days after they loosened up, it was extremely itchy in the middle, (where she braided the tightest at) that I had to get medicated shampoo to stop it. The tight braids led to bumps and redness on my scalp,and I got charged $295, almost $300, for this. I am very picky when it comes to braids because people can braid too tight, which what happened and I got overcharged. I wouldn’t recommend if you got a tapered cut in the back (pixie cut) if you want to save money, for $250, I expected it to get gripped regardless.

The service was top notch. They kept to time and finished my braids within estimated time. My braids were neat and beautiful. I’ll recommend and patronize them over and over again.

Always a great experience! Braids fast and neat. Clean, friendly environment. Excellent communication and easy booking process. Perfect location in the Midtown / Metro Atlanta area. I usually get Medium Knotless Braids with mix colors of 27 and 1B. I always receive so many compliments on my braids. I recommend for anyone looking for an amazing braider and/or a protective style.

I have been getting my hair braided with My Tribe for about a year now and am always satisfied with the service. The salon is comfortable, the ladies are friendly and work pretty fast. Hence the reason I have been a client for about a year. I recommend this place to anyone that wants BEAUTIFUL braids for an affordable price!

I have been going to Mytribe for almost a year. This is my go to for my box braids and feed-ins. They always accommodate me even when I have had last minute bookings and are communicative. My styles are always nice and I always get tons of compliments on my hair. This is one of the BEST braiding salons I have been to in Atlanta and isn't overpriced.

I've been getting my knotless box braids done at Braids by Mytribe for the last 3 years and I can honestly say she's amazing at what she does. Chika and her team are always professional, friendly, attentive and you will not be in the shop all day. She always makes sure my braids are neat, comfortable, and long-lasting. I get so many compliments on my hair every time I leave her salon. If you're looking for a great place to get your knotless box braids done, look no further than her. You won't regret it!

Not worth the headache - Unresponsive- Hair coming out Braids: Don't go. I was 15min late when I arrived and I couldn't find the location. I called and texted 6 times and she called me after 30min. Then claimed she never received my calls but I heard her phone ring several times. On top of that she then charged me a $20 late fee due to it being over 20min but she didn't even pick up her phone. It was the heavy set African woman that I'm referring too and the whole situation seems very strategic and the braids were average braids at best. Edit: I was late because I couldn't find the location and wasn't informed on detangling my hair. Obviously we can see the unprofessionalism below.

Please do yourself a great favor and don’t use this braiding company, find another one. The customer service wasn’t professional at all. The stylist stated one thing via phone and another in person. I received boho braids and the loose curly hair they provided tangled in two days. They stated it would last at least a few weeks, but not to get it wet. I didn’t get it wet and it still tangled in two days. I let her know and she refused to give any money back.

She does not respect or value your time. Get ready for the switch and bait. I wasted $60 in Lyft, sent her a picture prior, said in had short hair. When I arrived at my schedule appointment she had 3 people waiting. Then she told me I should go from a $130 hair style to a $250. GO GET YOUR TIME WASTED. Today was my day off for work. She said she could do short hair. Now she can’t. Again, I sent her a picture of my hair today. Arrived with the same head of hair. She had 3 appointment at the same time and figured she would up charge me. She is a BIG SUBTRACTION. It’s a NEVER AGAIN FOR ME. My money and time are valuable. She doesn’t respect either. Very unprofessional.

She, strategically, waited after the 24 hour period to tell me about an additional charge she’ll be charging me for my daughter’s birthday hair appointment. I booked her over a month ago. She had plenty of time to get in touch with me so that we could work everything out. I was charged nearly $100 to cancel and she refused to cancel for me. If she would’ve texted me 30 minutes sooner, I could’ve cancelled freely. You can’t tell me it wasn’t done purposely. Don’t book with her. She’s a scam artist and more worried about finding out ways to take your money than caring about your or your loved ones. It be your own people.

Came here a few months ago for my birthday hair all I wanted was a butterfly braid and the owner didn't deliver she gave me a snake braid ! Charged me $100 and did not even use quality products ! Biggest waste still enjoyed my bday nevertheless !

My tribe beauty/braid studio is so professional, they keep to time and make you feel like home. the owner is so nice and listens to your complain, her work is so neat and painless. I really recommend this salon to all, you will love it. trust and believe that.
