henley took wonderful care of me for my birthday! a client of mine from work recommended her and she did not disappoint, and the quality speaks volumes consider I work heavily with my hands in the dog daycare industry and not one has broken/chipped and the color still looks great! can't wait to come back here again thanks to olivia and the lovely henley!

Some backstory: While visiting Miami I needed to kill time and decided to visit a nail shop in Hialeah to get a gel pedicure and SNS with tips. The manager was concerned about my color matching on toes and nails and he offered a solution (no extra charge). "Let’s do a clear dip on your nails and then paint them with the gel color on your toes so you match." I had never heard of such a thing but I was willing to try it. The result was gorgeous and the shape was stunning! I even said to my boyfriend: "I shouldn’t get any type of service done where I won’t be able to come back." Sad reality. Fast forward two and a half weeks later: I visit this salon to get the nails done as it was time. I read the reviews and thought everything would be great. The man at the desk instantly tells me I have acrylic after my request for SNS. I explain what was done and he says something in his language (Vietnamese?) to the rest of the workers and tells me to sit at #7. The young lady who is assigned to work on my nails looks confused at my nails. I explain what happened in Miami once again and she starts OBVIOUSLY loudly complaining about the method of how my nails were done in Vietnamese. I could tell because every other word was SNS and how her hands were moving. I was annoyed that she did that because I WASN’T asking to have that done again and I explained that to her BUT I still didn’t understand what the big deal was if she has to file the color for both gel and SNS. I didn’t get it. Moving along….. I could see right off bay that she was not diligent at her work. The filing was lazy and because she did not push my skin in on the side of my nail when she was filing with the emery board she caused two abrasions. One was had drawn blood. I didn’t realize until I washed my hands. There was also this strange thing where I would say something to her and she would act like she didn’t understand what I was saying. She did this at least twice and I am someone who tries to be mindful of language barriers. She did however get me the right color I wanted milky white with chrome finish. But I’m not sure if this was just an isolated experience. Won’t be back.

I walked into the spa for a wax and a basic manicure. Fortunately they were able to take me right away. I selected this nail spa based on the great reviews and I had a mediocre experience at best. The nail technician I had was not very good and had little attention to detail. I asked her to file and round my natural nails. She barely filed and left the edges very rough. I had a lot of cuticle and she did not take the time to make sure she removed them. I had to have her go back and redo some of my nails. Then I think the biggest oversight was that she didn't even remove any of my prior clear nail polish. I mean that is something that is normally done in the beginning. The quality of the wax used for my underarm waxing was not very friendly to my sensitive skin so I left with my waxed skin feeling irritated and painful and my nails looking dry and as bad as if I had done them myself. I will absolutely not be going back. I am sure I can get better service elsewhere.

I booked a last minute appointment due to my normal nail tech having a family emergency and I was very well taken care of. Tim gave me the best pedicure I’ve had in a while. He was very professional and checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Emily made my birthday nail vision come to life and was also very professional. Will 10000% book again!

Tbh I didn’t have high expectations - this felt like a fairly standard nail salon experience. But, whether it’s the polish I got (gel cat eye) or the way they applied, my nails have been going strong for a bit longer than two weeks. I almost always have some sort of breakage or chipping around 1.5 weeks when I get gel, so kudos to the nail bar!

I have been coming here for years! Uyen is an expert! Beautifully designed nails and meticulously application. I showed her a picture I found on Pinterest of what I wanted my nails to look like. She was able to copy it exactly without knowing the names of the polishes. I highly recommend this nail salon and Uyen!

I have to say thank you first to Jennifer. She did a great job on my nails! The first time I didn’t say ouch! I only began to go to another salon because of a relationship connection. I am glad to be back at the original nail salon in Charlotte! It feels like home!
