I take a train 45 minutes from Greenpoint to Tribeca just to get my nails done here. Yesterday, I had Lin who did the best nails I've ever had here and I've been coming here regularly for over a year. The manager is super hands-on and set up a phone bench for me so I could watch my show during the nails. I always get dip with color 333. My nails always look so good and it makes me so happy. All for $60 (if you pay with cash) not including tip. I also religiously bring my stamp card so I'm excited to cash in on it on my next visit. Also, the place is so clean and the set up is really cute. I will continue making the trip over here until I leave New York !!

Nail spy is the best! I have been going here consistently for about a year now. The salon is very clean and most of the techs do a nice job. Sita is the best who did my nails in the picture!! Won’t go anywhere else but nail spy

I just wanna know how you are doing nails every single day but yet somehow don’t know how to paint nails with gel. My nails are so lumpy and misshapen and uneven. They look disgusting and I paid $100 for the fill and then the paint. I literally had to take the file and do it myself at one point when she was shaving my nails because of how poorly she was trying to do them. she also did not clean up my cuticles and the staff there is very rude.

My nails come out perfect every single time I come here. It’s close to my office which is very convenient and I close to many train stations. They staff is very considerate and their space is very clean. My favorite part is that they don’t do acrylic which has such a strong smell. This is my new regular spot. I would recommend to a friend but definitely make an appointment or come early in the day because it gets so booked.

I visit the area once a week every month. I was in need of getting my nails done. I tried gel X. 80$. It lasted two weeks the first time. I just came back and got them done last week. Another 80$ and they started lifting within the first three days! I have never even had my 40$ full set do this. So disappointed since the workers were nice and the place was highly recommended

Tech appeared rushed and robotic during mani-pedi…. just going through the motions. At end I had to request clippers to cut and even up myself. Very disappointing

The gel was SO thick and I asked her to make it thinner multiple times. Also a few of the nails are uneven as well. I didn’t say anything else to them because every time I said anything she rolled her eyes. Also $90 for a fill in (that’s not even great) is insane.

The salon is nice and big really clean overall it would have been a 4/5 star except my gel pedicure came out absolutely horrid, im someone who gets pedis often so I know what to expect and how my feet should come out looking I do have a callus on both top corners of my foot pad under my pinky toes I lean most of my weight on the sides anywho so I’m custom to paying the extra for callus remover however I was told it would be 18$ extra this is after she sanded the dead skin and only spent 3 seconds per foot and I’m looking and feeling my heels and had to urge her that it needed more attention she looked at me like I was nuts so she did a few seconds more tossing each foot down after she was done and ofc it was poorly done at this point Id already made up my mind not to throw away 18$ bucks I can see the work she had done wasn’t even worth $5 so she continues to handle my feet rough and nasty and I’m asking why she was being so rough and mean no response now the woman who takes the payments is standing next to me and I tell her that the lady is being rough and slamming things as if she didn’t see herself so she says something to her in their language and smiles at me she was nice and all but the one who did my service very nasty rude woman shouldn’t be doing pedis the bottom looks like I haven’t got my feet done in over a month right now and I went 2days ago so now I must go and spend more money to have my pedi done properly smh now the younger girl who did my design love her she was sweet professional and kind I did tip her $10 I told the woman I paid $88 in total plus the $10 tip that the other lady was very rude and she said oh she just crazy…that’s no excuse to treat paying or anyone for that matter the way she treated me and my service looks as I stated before horrid I normally don’t leave reviews honestly I just wanted this to be here as a warning I didn’t get anyone’s name sorry but that experience I will NOT be returning EVER. I found them thru the guy holding their sign on chambers giving out coupons and I said what the heck I was omw to jersey anyway to get my feet done like I usually do I wish I never got diverted to this place the wtc path was right there i wish I kept going but maybe it was to warn and stop the next person from a awful experience so here is my contribution and if it allows me to upload pics it’s going to be from that very same day I got home. Feet does not look this way after a pedi period. Hope this helps and and yea I tried to redeem the coupon I was giving to go in the place and she told me no I walked in just after 2pm and it had to be by 2 to get the 10$ off $60 spent or more or 5 $ off $40 spent I just laughed to myself and and took $ out their atm to save myself $4 for using debit bright side their atm fee is $1

I would like to start by saying that I am a fairly low maintenance person who gets basic manicures with just a plain light pink color, and in general I am fairly low maintenance when it comes to self-care . With that said, this was honestly the worst manicure I ever got. They were very nice and kind but it was such a rushed job. I think perhaps because I am not a regular they did not care to try harder? Not sure. But for such a price I expect more. The polish was painted uneven, did not cover the full nail, and was bubbly (perhaps they dilute it with nail polish remover to extend life?) either way very overpriced for what I got. I wouldn’t go back.

This is classic Chinese / Korean quick in-and-out nail joint. Very few people are actually good, not even great. They just can’t care less. My nails are butchered. Basic manicure done and dusted in less than 12min. My “technician” was more interested who comes to the store, looking around, talking in Chinese to her colleagues while totally skipping my nails. The lame hand massage that lasted whole 10 seconds per hand. I also question cleanliness of this place as I’ve seen multiple times technicians using USED file and buffer. So don’t get too excited tools get sterilized. It’s really sad. These places are all the same - just money hungry, with no respect to the customer, pretending they care. They absolutely don’t. I’m convinced that the woman who owns this place ( she sometimes comes in, all glammed up with *designer bag and jewelry) runs a mob business, paying the bare minimum to these women. Oh and don’t get Ema or Cindy, they both suck.

Very clean and spacious salon with friendly staff, but the results were not great. My gel mani chipped on two fingers within a day and many are lifting at the edges after just 4 days! Of course because I was visiting from out of town with a tight itinerary, I can’t go back and get them fixed or redone. Very disappointed.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I had been a loyal customer to Nail Spy for the past 6 months and I have always noticed how rude the front desk lady is. Today, I went in and asked for a UV gel fill. The lady told me that three of my nails were “broken” and she had to redo them. I questioned her, and asked the price and she said “$8 each” so the total would be 124. I asked how much a full set was because I never paid that much here and she said “$114”. I asked why I would pay more for fixing three nails than a full set costs and the front desk lady and the lady doing my nails had no response. I decided I no longer wanted this, and that I would get gel instead. I was told that I would have to cut my long nails off to get gel because they were flimsy, and she bent my nail back to show me and I said “ow!!!!!!” I double checked that the cost to remove was $15, and I asked the prices of the gel vs dip. I decided to get dip because she confirmed that I would be able to keep them long, and before I knew it she cut my nails so short that they were in pain. I said since you cut them that short I am going to get gel. She then said I should still get dip because the gel won’t last. I ended up getting up to leave and go somewhere else, and I was ready to pay my $15. She then tried to cash me out at $20 and when I said no she said “I’ll give it to you for 15.” This place is horrible. The 1 star reviews are correct. DO NOT GO

Jess was fast but very sloppy. Process and results were messy. Saw her twice and both times same result. This is the fastest a powder manicure has fallen apart on me and I’ve gotten my nails done every 3 weeks for the past 5 years. 4 out of 10 nails looked like this by a week and a half later. Not worth the money. Disappointing. This place used to be my go-to.

My mother came here yesterday and I couldn’t NOT let her leave a review about this. After growing her nails out for weeks this is the service they provided… She was getting these done for my wedding in 3 days and had to go to a new place the next day just to have someone salvage her nails. I’ve never seen a manicure this bad.

Terrible terrible experience. I went there for a year and then they started changing their prices each time I’d come for French gel on my nails. Each time I’d come they’d charge me differently it changed from originally being charged $10 or $15 extra on top of the gel price to $30 on top of it. The women are so rude and talk about you in Mandarin. Will never come back

This place is a joke. They charge you $20 extra to do chrome on your nails and they also charge $7 to take off your manicure even if they are the ones who did it 2 weeks before! The young woman who works the front desk is always rude. It sucks because the nail techs are great but I will not go back due to horrible management and overcharging their customers. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and DO NOT GO HERE.

Very overprice for the quality, also I feel like she was just creating her own prices. Was definitely overcharged. $8 to fix a cracked nail, extra $8 just to remove polish and do the exact same style I did before.
