Shenell did a big chop on my hair and it needed it. This was my first time using Shenell’s services and I was very pleased. My hair was severely damaged. One side broken while the other side, long with split ends. After the big chop I was a little in shock. But after one week, I am loving my wash and go natural hair.

Shenell is fantastic! I couldn’t ask for a better cut or better service. She has been cutting my curly hair for almost three years & does a great job with the cut as well as offering valuable advice on how to handle it in my own to preserve my curl pattern.I can’t imagine going anywhere else. (Updating years later….) Shenell has now helped me shift my color from a very strong red to my natural silver. She did an absolutely gorgeous job and I’m getting rave reviews…and she preserved the curls beautifully while making the change. I couldn’t have asked for better service.

This review is long overdue, considering I got my treatment in September, yet so deserved. I have never felt more confident and comfortable in my natural hair than after this treatment. A little about me. I’m 20, a full time nursing student, and I work part time at Starbucks, so my week is pretty busy with little time to manage or style my 4c hair. I actually just kept it straight a lot of the time which ended up with me having heat damage💀, something Shenell talked with me about and is helping me fix! I got the keratin plus the vitamin18? (i think it’s called) and she also styled it and gave me a lot of insight into what she was doing and the products she was using. She also told me exactly what products to buy and had me watch her as she styled my hair. I really appreciated how open she was with me, I’ve been natural for about 5 years now and this is the first time I’ve let my natural hair breath without having braids in or having it straightened. I highly recommend this treatment (and Shenell) for anyone who’s lacking that comfortability or even conveniency in their hair.

I felt that all my questions and concerns were answered and addressed over all the entire experience was a positive one! I was nervous at first because it has been awhile since my last professional vist but Shenell really made the experience informative and comfortable, I'm excited about continuing my natural hair journey!

Loved the experience and the results. She colored my hair beautifully and was very professional. I told her that I was very tender-headed and she was very mindful and gentle with my hair. Very professional, 10/10 customer service. She also made sure to teach me about my hair and even followed up to send me the products that she used on it.

I have curly hair and have never known how to handle them. One visit here completely changed how I view my hair. I've never thought my curls looked as beautiful as when she did them and not only did she do my hair but she also taught me how to take care of it myself and it just gave me so much more confidence in my hair. If you have curly hair I HIGHLY recommend coming here.

My first visit to this salon was December 2022. The appointment was for a style but Shenell discovered my hair was several colors and she had to do a color correction. I was very happy she took care of it. Fast forward to 2024 I had the same problem! My local hairdresser (Little Rock, AR) messed my color up again. I drove from Little Rock to Dallas to see Shenell again because I trusted her to make the correction. She took care of me. I am very happy with my hair color, style and cut! She is very knowledgeable and professional.

I have been looking for a natural hair stylist who focuses on healthy hair. I searched Instagram for stylists in my area and liked what I saw and read about the Natural Diva Hair Studio. It was easy to contact Shenell and book an appointment. I liked her genuine warmth right away. The studio is small and cute. I was delighted to walk in and find her ready for me. No waiting! Shenell asked lots of questions about my hair routine and the products I use and made a few suggestions. Trimming my hair made such a big difference in the final look of my wash and go. Three days later, my curls are less defined but still look good. My hair feels great, too. I think I have found the stylist I’ve been looking for.

Great service! She was really sweet, knowledgeable and didn’t judge me for my scalp condition. I was frustrated and called so many natural hair stylists explaining to them the situation and no one would take me. Shenell took me with no problem. I don’t have much confidence in my natural hair, but loved my twist out results when I left there. She treated my scalp, cut and styled my hair. I can’t wait to continue to embrace my natural.
