She provided personalized recommendations which I agreed with. The salon has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and professional. I had a phenomenal experience here with Ms. Shanell! I had my hair straightened and pressed out and I feel so amazing with my hair straight for a change. My hair was tangled real bad and had so much shrinkage I didn’t know it a silk press was possible. Ms Shanell took care of all of that and I left satisfied. All the ladies were great! Also love it being black owned!

I was very skeptical about having another so called loctician in Houston. As you can see the mess I was left with. I had a consultation to Jessica on 12/21/24. She explained/showed palm rolling technique, discuss product, and explained the difference I repairs & stitch. The energy was good! Her welcome & energy of the establishment was a whole vibe. She felt my skepticism & reassured me it would be ok that my hair wasn't as bad as it looks. They have an availability later that evening so I returned. Again a warm greeting from everyone including the clients. Katt was my stylist and she was very sweet. She walked me through everything she was going to do & the products they use. After the shampoo she made sure I was surrounded by mirrors to help ease my nervousness. Some of my locs were separated from the new growth & she stitched them back in and they look like they weee never separated. The technique she used was nest the swift. We were done in a few hours. Love the style she didn't afterwards. I waited a week to post to show that my locs are still nice neat & no separation. The pic shown is what my hair looked like 2 days after it was done before I came to Natural Hair of Katy. My whole experience was more than I expected. I definitely recommend this salon for your hair needs. All of the clients that were there were very happy with their results. I have found my home for my family hair needs.

Just when we were feeling discouraged and about to give up on finding a reputable, reliable, and responsive loctician, we found Natural Hair of Katy! I can't tell you how many so-called "locticians" we have been through in the Houston area who claim they do hair only to charge outrageous prices and consultation fees for locs that come undone in a week or just simply don't answer the phone and stick to their scheduled appointments. Don't waste your time at these at-home "salons." Natural Hair of Katy was quick to answer the phone, schedule a consultation for the next day, and even booked us within the next hour to start the locs - all for a $25 consultation fee plus $150 for the locs. The last "loctician" we went to charged (scammed) us $190 for a "consultation fee" and all she did was take down the old locs, cut some hair off, and then had the nerve to say it would cost another $190 to do the actual locs. 🙄 Even worse was when she said she could do them a couple days later only to stand us up during the scheduled appointment time and completely ghost us when we tried calling and texting. But it ended up being a blessing in disguise as it led us to finding this salon to finish the job. So relieved to have finally found a group of trained professionals who are fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. Stop wasting your time and money and book here now!

Scheduling was easy and they are very responsive. Got in the chair at my exact time. Just did a wash and braid down but had no issues! Will be back

They are clean, professional, and quick. The prices are reasonable and the hairdressers are good at what they do. I’ve only been there twice, but it’s definitely worth the visit.

I took down my 3 month old Knotless braids and my hair was completely tangled.(I have 4c extremely coarse hair) I went in to Natural Hair of Katy and was greeted by the welcoming staff. My wait was short then I was attended to by Sheri. She was very professional, talked me through all the products and steps. Not only did she detangle my very matted hair she was so gentle and patient. Her hair wash had me falling asleep. The deep conditioning treatment left my hair soft and manageable. I didn’t flinch when she blow dried my hair which is usually unbelievably painful for me. I absolutely loved my service and was so emotional that I found my spot to get my hair done, good pricing and excellent results. Can’t wait to go back

If I could give a 0 I would. I made a online appointment and the appointment was confirmed. I took down my braids and a couple hours later my appointments was cancelled. I have a function to attend and still trying to find someone.

Where do I start?? From start to finish was amazing. I booked last minute and they accommodated me, that’s first. Customer service, music playlist, services received, decor, etc. all passed the vibe check. It is clean and neat in the salon and they are very welcoming and down to earth. My type of folks!! They used great products that made my scalp and hair feel so clean and rejuvenated. My usual loctician is in Houston and was booked until after Thanksgiving. I waited too late to try and book with her and stumbled across Natural Hair of Katy. They have definitely earned a new client. Davina did my palm roll retwist/maintenance and Tamia did my style. Jessica, the owner (I believe) is my singing partner. Thanks ladies of Natural Hair of Katy!!

OMG, these ladies here are Heaven sent,y original appointment fell thru last minute, The owner Ms.Jackie was kind enough to get me in today. Now I able to go in labor next week looking FABULOUS AND FINE. I highly recommend.

I met Jessica on whim while we were waiting out a storm. I had been searching for a local loctician that was personable and knowledgeable and I’m glad to say that I have found my Loc Village. Since then, she has helped me care for my scalp (I have seborrorhic dermatitis) and her and her staff is nothing short of amazing! I can’t remember the young lady’s name that shampoos my hair BUT she gets me right every time! She is very sweet and gives my scalp a bomb scrub/massage. Kenya has done my interlocking and palm roll and I have always left her chair happy and satisfied! I love her personality, transparency and she has helped me gain more confidence in wanting to try more styles. Recently she did a palm roll two strand twist style and I am complimented daily on how beautiful it looks! Thank you Jessica and Staff for always providing a positive and fun atmosphere!

From start to finish, NHoK provides services that keep me coming back. Today Adria was tasked with providing a shampoo experience that relaxed me like a goddess; she did not disappoint. The wash was relaxing, cleansing, and thorough. My locs and scalp have never felt so clean and revived. When it comes to salon services, I am picky because my time and money are precious. NHoK, hit the nail on the head. With the friendly atmosphere, efficient service, talented stylists, and Adria at the shampoo bowl, I will remain a dedicated customer.

I walked in and needed someone to help me find a way to style my natural curls for my wedding and Jessica was so kind and helped me right away. She did a trial for me on the spot and gave me a very elegant updo! The ladies who work here are very lovely!

Jessica Did her thing with my color. I just love the ambiance and vibe in the her shop. I am so used to stylist giving me dark shades of brown due to the complexion of my skin, but I trusted Jessica and I love my new color. I look like a new person.

If I could give 100 stars I would! Today was my first time here. Felt like I’ve known these women my whole life! The shop was BEAUTIFUL, clean & the capes smelled amazing! Shonia did an interlock job on my bald head & it’s the best loc service I’ve ever received (NO CAP). She & Jessica both were the most pleasant I’ve seen people be in a very long time & it felt genuine. Definitely going back to get Shonia on this head again. She’s a vibe & a sweetheart. Good vibes & good energy in there!
