Carleen has not only given me a variety of haircuts that suit me perfectly and look great even as they grow out, but she’s also filled me with invaluable tips and insights on curl care. I adore the complimentary sparkles she adds to my hair—they've never failed to make me smile! She’s steered me away from using harsh chemicals, which I begrudgingly have a hard time accepting at times, but I’m grateful for her guidance. I get to visit Carleen every four weeks. I look forward to every second of the VIP treatment in addition to a brilliant haircut and custom color. Update: I’ve been going to Carleen for 10 years now and I literally can’t go anywhere else. She’s been there for me during my curly hair journey but has also supported me as I’ve backed off of curly hair a little and leaned into growing out my grays. She’s always given me advice on hair products I can use for each situation and I’ve never felt judged for deciding not to go curly all the time. My hair has retained its length and healthiness and I just love her. I left with all these goodies after my 10 year anniversary appt. She makes me feel valued and loved and I always leave our appointments feeling energized about my life and its possibilities. ❤️ I’ve been going to Carleen for 7 years this Spring and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. For years I thought I had a natural wave in my hair but had no clue how to take care of it and consequently it was dry and damaged etc. But once I met Carleen, she taught me how to care for my curly hair and since then it’s grown so much and looks so beautiful and healthy. **Update** I have been fighting my naturally wavy/curly hair my whole life. I have used all the wrong products, flat irons, curling irons and even had my hair permed to try to get consistent curls. No matter what I did, I didn’t get the results I wanted. I wanted smooth curls that didn’t frizz day after day. After trying to embrace my curls and not having much success, I was lucky enough to get in with Carleen and her team Naturally Curly Hair & Color Expert Carleen Sanchez. Carleen met with me and talked to me about my hair, it’s type, and it’s needs and then she and her team showed me and had me participate in the styling of my hair. They gave me a sheet that reminds me how to do each step and when to do it. I am still not perfect, but being a client of Carleen and her team have me on the path to loving my curls! I’ve been going exclusively to Carleen for about five or six years now (if memory serves) and I don’t see a reason to ever go elsewhere! My first appointment with Carleen was 12 years ago. I had just moved here and tried several stylists at top salons and was convinced Reno was the capitol of Bad Hair. The moment I saw Carleen I knew there was hope. "Just make me look like you," I said, and sure enough, I pranced out of there with shimmering auburn curls framing my face and a new best friend. Over the years we have done different lengths, layers, and slightly different shades of red, but always natural, no dangerous chemicals, and very easy styling. Her assistants Jessie, Katie and Clayton will pamper you and walk you through all the steps to get salon hair every day in minutes. I get compliments on my hair several times a week. Strangers want to talk about my color all the time. The glints of tinsel in my hair catch people's eye and when they tell me how pretty it is, I just tell them it's natural. Next week I will start losing my hair because of chemotherapy. Carleen helped me find wigs and walked me through how and when we will cut my hair short and protect my scalp for the duration. Even though I had to cancel all my blissful hair appointments for the rest of the year, she is with me all the way. Her magical healing powers transform people into the brightest, shiniest versions of themselves. Even without hair. Through the years she has shown me exactly how to wash, condition, blow-dry and protect my hair at night to maintain my natural curls. And this week she is showing me how to still look amazing while going through treatment and regrowing my locks. I have never been disappointed! She is an award winning curly hair goddess that is skilled on so many levels. She is kind, generous, talented and fabulous!! Only go to her if you are fun silly and not uptight and difficult. She is choosy with her clients and will let you know if it’s bot a good fit. She does not do bleach blondes so if that is what you are looking for she is not for you. She does do blonde, just not platinum. She wants to help people have healthy hair and can help you reach that goal. She’s the kind of magical lady who loves crystals, essential oils and animals! The in-salon experience is amazing and truly makes you feel special. The products made by Carleen also feel really good, I bought some for personal use and I love the fact that they are natural and all ingredients carefully selected. Unfortunately, my color faded out in less than a month, which I wasn’t expecting. I am really satisfied with the curl education I received and the hair products I bought, I will continue to use them, probably the best I ever used too! The in-salon service was the best I ever experienced.

UPDATE: Finally got back in with my Girl!! My hair feels so goood! So cute! Feeling 15 years younger. I guess I can hold off on the facelift. New things I experienced Shoulder massage, a fabulous free pink drink mimosa and these free jelly under eye pads. OMG! I've been coming to Carleen for 12 years now and have tried other hair dressers because I am on the road. Other hairdressers cut my hair when it's wet and it ends up all uneven and crazy. It's always worth it to wait for Carleen. She cuts your hair while it's dry and sees your movement, curls and cuts accordingly. The only bad thing is that she is so busy that I have to plan way ahead to get an appointment.
