Neo Hair Design is an inviting, friendly and comfortable environment with an upbeat decor centrally located in an attractive, partially residential neighborhood. Kim Starr is the studio's sole owner and stylist. She has over forty years of experience in the beauty business and has provided hair services for prominent figures in the music business such as Billy Joel, Chris Isaak, Brian Setzer, INXS and many more. Her specialties include haircuts and hair color. She offers both contemporary and traditional styling for men, women and children. New clients are welcome and invited to schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation, if desired, prior to booking a service.

Kim at Neo Design is great! She is my go to hairdresser. She doesn't whip through the cut (which is always nothing short of fabulous) she will spend time with you and literally advise on your hair and what is best for you. She is an individualist and you will not receive a cookie-cutter haircut. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

This was my first time attending her salon. I could not believe the type of service you get there. Kim is a wonderful, very caring, genuine individual. She takes the time with her customers explaining hair care. I have very dry curly hair. It was nice to have someone spend the time she did educating me about my hair and things I can do to improve it. I could not have asked for a nicer person. She is so precise when cutting your hair in making sure every piece it cut to perfection. The salon is adorable inside, very friendly feel to it. I'm here to tell you that Kim Starr is an amazing stylist! I've been with her since 1987! I was young and had hair, so long, I'd sit on it! She was the only stylist I'd had who would listen to my requests. I only wanted a couple of inches cut off. She actually only cut off a couple of inches! That won me over and it's led to a nearly 30 year relationship!! Now, I'm seasoned and my hair is shorter, and grayer!! She makes my hair look the same color as it used to be, with highlights and lowlights to help me look more natural, for my age. Can't say enough good things about Kim! She is an artist! I hope you give her a try!!!

Kim Starr is one of the most conscientious stylists I've encountered. The salon is always clean and the decor is cheerful & eclectic. I look forward to all my visits knowing she will be a joy to chat with and work hard to produce the best color and style for my hideously thin, baby-fine mop. Prices are very reasonable and I know she's open for a few new clients at this time :)
