This was my first time receiving a service like this! Tarrissia was very informative about the payment, styling, and aftercare process of my hair. She answered all my questions with extreme thoughtfulness and honesty, which was very much appreciated. She was super gentle and attentive — always asked if I was satisfied with the way I wanted it. I also wanted to add that I felt extremely welcomed as a non-black person receiving this typically black embraced hairstyle. I was nervous about getting turned away or being accused of being disrespectful instead of appreciative. Tarrissia was accepted me culturally and personality-wise, and listened very carefully when I shared I wanted fingerwaves as an elegant nod to my natural short hair for my college senior pictures (below is a sneak peek preview I received and I will have many more pictures to remember this service by) This hair lasted 24 hours on TWO different occasions and she instructed me more than adequately on which products to use and how to wrap my hair. I felt beautiful, confident, and sexy!

It was my first time at New Era Hair Salon and the hairstylist did a good job with my hair. She was also very sweet and gave me hair care tips for my natural hair. I highly recommend, you won't regret it.

I absolutely love everything about new era from the beautiful atmosphere the cleanliness of the shop , how I'm in and out with no issues my hair is always slayed I get the most compliments when Tarrissa does my hair. But most of all how well my styles hold up between each appointment. I reccomend her to everyone who asks who does my hair Tarrissa is so bomb and I just discovered she does lashes as well def a one stop Glam Shop

Tarrissia is the best hair stylist that I have ever been too. She let me know what was best for my hair type. She made me feel welcomed, and she is so nice. I will be going back again. I found my new stylist. If you are in the Salisbury area I highly recommend her.

I am new to the area and was looking for someone to cut my hair. This salon is clean, and conscious of health concerns. I took a photo with me of what I hoped for my haircut. Because my hair goes into shock when first cut, I had to wait until I washed it.. perfect cut. I love it! I will go again done searching!

The salon has a nice ambiance! The owner takes pride in keeping the salon clean and makes sure to take the time out to clean the chairs/equipment after each client. The stylists at New Era also aren’t afraid to tell you when your hair is not healthy enough for a certain style which makes me feel like it’s not just about my money, but that they truly care about the healthiness of my hair and what’s best for me.
