I came here for haircut and color with Jaqueline. FIVE stars to Jacqueline. She did a great job. The only thing I did not like was the environment. The salon is messy, cluttered, and a homeless person walks inside the salon. Terrible. ONE star for the environment.

I came here for a haircut and Annie who washed my hair did a wonderful job. She was very friendly. The man who cut my hair did not understand Cantonese or English, but the lady (Elaine?) in the front translated for him. She was very nice. I asked for long layers and she explained it to him and asked for the back to be straight. It was a $40 hair cut and when I was never shown the back of my hair. He never compared the lengths of the sides. I got home and saw it is incredibly slanted in the back and I live far from Flushing. The left side is significantly longer than the right side. I will certainly not be going back to the same person if I go to New Wave Beauty Salon again.

I had the best haircut experience today with Jacqueline at The New Wave Beauty Salon. She knew exactly what was looking for when talking about my hair…it was refreshing, especially with really curly hair!! I also enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very homey and the people were super friendly! I found my new place after my salon closed! I rarely write reviews, but I feel Jackie deserves it!

I have been coming to New Wave for 15 yrs now and I would never go anywhere else. I come here for hair extensions, keratin treatments, color, and cut. I can’t say enough about how amazing Jackie is. Not only is she talented , professional, and always up to date with the latest trends, but she is kind and gracious. With her expertise and attention to detail, you are getting the highest quality of hair care. She always finds time to fit me in her busy schedule when I need to get a hair service pronto. I honestly won’t let anyone else touch my hair.

I have been going to this salon for many years, before and after pandemic and i will not go anywhere else. The stylist Jacqueline is so sweet and knowledgeable on hair. I have coarse hair and she has made it manageable that at this moment it is the longest it’s ever been!! Amazing salon!

Over a year Jacueline (salon owner) has recreated my imagination with hair extensions and hair dyes numerous times immaculately and I could have not found a more trustworthy stylist to keep my hair healthy through these processes! Highly recommended!

You know when they say you are only faithful to your hairstylist?! That is not a lie i won’t change Jackie for the world. She is my colorist and takes great care of my blonde hair no breakage here and that’s a hard task.

I've been going to New Wave for years and the quality of the work keeps getting better. The women are like sisters who understand their clients needs and do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. I'm very particular about my hair yet New Wave has never let me down. Best bet to get there: Mass transit because parking can be tricky.

I've been coming here for hair cut for years with Sung. He can work magic with my unruly, impossible hair and also put up with my total ignorance of what to ask for. Somehow he just KNOWS what works for me. Haven't had experience with other stylists there.

Amazing hairstylist Jackie takes great care of my locks! I get highlights, cuts and wash and sets. My most recent hair color has been my favorite because I showed her a picture and gave me the exact color!! (Ash blonde balayage with dark ash brown at the roots) I have been coming here for 11 years and she is always up to date with current styles. ❤❤❤

I’ve been going to this place all my life, ever since I was a young child. It’s good service and all. Prices are decent. What I hate about this place is that they have no sense of respect when it comes to volume. Jacqueline is a great stylist. There are some good stylists inside. But after awhile, it becomes run-down and terrible. They let a homeless person come inside. Like what the hell seriously? Do not recommend.
