I went here for a pedicure and must say that the experience was lacking considering the price. The building was exceptionally cold and uncomfortable, the service was mediocre at best. I could have given myself a more luxurious experience from the comfort of my couch. This place looks elegant, but doesn't be seemed to be backed by the experience promised on its website. Disappointed.

My husband is a traveling medical professional, which means we end up in new places frequently. As someone with darker hair and a lot of gray popping up, it's hard to cover it well and keep things looking natural. Hannia did such a NICE job with my hair. Typically I ask for high and lowlights, but Hannia suggested highlights and adding an overall color that will blend well as my hair starts to grow out. This was something new, and I was a little nervous about it, but it looks amazing. Hannia also thinned my incredibly thick hair to make it manageable again and gave me a great cut. I'm so happy I'll be able to stop in for a touch-up once more before my husband and I hit the road again. Thank you, Hannia!

My went in for a waxing and the job was done very poorly. Hairs were left behind, very patchy. For the price, this is a joke. She is too nice to say anything but I have to let people know this is not where you get waxing done.

My stylist is very obliging but this time I felt a little neglected, as she gave most of her attention to another client. I waited 45 minutes to get started. The result was excellent in the end!

Emily is an exceptional senior designer, she has been making my hair beautiful since 2013. A professional who is always on time and is very aware of her clients time. I love my color, she truly is an expert and I would say my haircut is always consistent. Without hesitation I would say the best cut I’ve ever had. NYNY is a relaxing and professional experience beginning at arrival to the front desk, to the waiting area and through the shampoo, blow dry and curl. I book my appointments a year in advance to assure I am on her book. 10/10, I never walkout without loving my hair, thank you Emily!!

I can see why this location gets 1 star ratings. I went here for a deep tissue massage on Nov 2 . During the massage I told the masseuse it wasn’t deep tissue and she was not even touching the places I told here were in need of attention. Afterward, I told the receptionist it wasn’t deep tissue or a good massage. I just had oil rubbed on me. I spoke to the owner who was very nice at the time (make note that she’s rude and unprofessional). And wait for it. Previous to this I had an appointment booked with Emily for my hair to occur November 14 and several nail appointments in November and December. I had met with Emily and spent significant time doing a hair consultation. I get a phone call from Mary Louise- the owner- on November 7 saying that after she had time to think about me not liking my service (5 days after I was there) she’s going to cancel ALL my appointments and that I can’t book there anymore. See screen shot below. It is outrageous to think that because I let the owner know I didn’t get good service that All my appointments would be cancelled. And I hadn’t posted about the terrible massage I received because of our conversation about the poor level of service. This is the single most horrible experience I have had at a salon. What wretched person and business owner.

I received a massage from Luvenia and a facial from Veronica on November 6th and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Both ladies were professional and knew their craft. I look forward to more visits with these exceptional ladies in the near future!

I recieved a 60 minute massage and a facial as a gift. I also forgot my gift card, which turned out to be no problem, as the very efficient front desk person looked it up. My massage therapist, Luvenia, was wonderful! I had a couple of areas that I wanted to concentrate on and she not only did a great job with them, she found other areas that needed help and worked them into the whole massage. She listens to you. She has a great touch, a soothing voice, and it was a wonderful experience. The scented oil was quite nice, as well. All in all an extremely positive and relaxing experience. Veronica did my facial. It, too, was lovely. She is very skilled, and the products used were very good (and I have sensitive skin). She was sensitive to my needs and I walked out glowing (as one should after a great facial). This was also a very positive experience. I would highly recommend this spa, Luvenia, and Veronica. I intend to go back asap.

Cancelled an appointment I had scheduled a month and a half ago, an hour before I was supposed to be there. I scheduled this specifically before I had planned to be out of town for an event also. Incredibly frustrating and not a great first impression for a first time client.

I came in town for a wedding & googled salon. Found yours, called for an appt. So happy to have found you. I got an appt with Destin. She did an amazing style with curls on my hair. Turned out beautiful. Exactly what I wanted. And Taylor did the best wash I ever received. The warm towel around the neck was a bonus! I am asking my salon to start that! If you are looking for a great salon to go to, come here!

I’m so disappointed to give this review only 2 stars because my technicians were amazing. The customer service from front desk and management was so disappointing. My husband got me a gift card for a half day spa experience which included a massage, manicure, pedicure, and lunch. He added on the décolleté facial treatment. We spoke with the front desk twice before the appointment to make sure the treatments I was getting were covered by the gift card. They assured us everything was good and the appointment was all set. I had a great morning there, but received a call as soon as I left saying I owed $27 for the facial. I explained that we were told the add on was covered in the card and they apologized. An hour later I got another call saying I owed $112 because when the décolleté was added on, that meant a facial was added on too (which was never explained to us- we didn't understand the difference between a facial and a décolleté). It seemed like a lot of miscommunication and confusion, but I’m shocked that the manager thought it was appropriate for the guest to literally pay for a mistake made by the front desk. Of course mistakes happen, but to ask the customer to pay an additional $100 for a mistake made by multiple employees is very odd.

Zack is awesome. He does my hair like no other and I always feel like a baddie once I leave his chair. I’m super picky when I get my hair done but he’s always got the right vision. Love him and will always be going back. His color work is unmatched and he’s super chill to talk to. Always makes me feel welcome. Immaculate vibes. 10/10 everyone give Zack the love he deserves

Cristina provided wonderful service! I love my cut! I have long hair and it had been too long since my last cut. I loved the products she used and I purchased them without any pressure. She explained why and how to use the products. I have long hair and the cut took off a few inches, but I expected that as it had been months since my last. I’ll be back and would 100% recommend!

It took me a several months to process this but I am ready to share the absolutely terrible and extremely racist experience at NYNY. My normal hair dresser (who was the same race as me) had transitioned and I was handed over to an extremely rude, and evidently uneducated, lady who was so bothered that I was not her usual client type (white). She kept pulling my hair during the entire treatment and kept telling me my hair is textured (it is not) and that she cannot color it. Her demeanour and behavior was that of “reality tv binge watching wannabe” and kept making passive aggressive comments. I was so traumatised by her behavior and just wanted to get out of there. I would recommend that your management should hire educated hairdressers, who have basic manners, and don’t try to act like they belong on the set of the jerry springers show. It is sad to see that in 2024 and in supposedly “posh” hair salon that people of color have to face such treatment.

I am so disappointed in New York New York Salon. Unfortunately they charged me $200 dollars without authorization (my bank called it fraud) and banned me for a missed appointment that was canceled in advance due to serious health issues. I’ll admit I’ve missed other appointments, but not without calling to cancel and reschedule. The owner Mary Louise (“Show Me the Money”) Riser was exceptionally unprofessional and ignorant when I asked for an explanation. Her only concern was getting me out the door quickly to hide the disagreement from clients. I’ll admit to being excessively frustrated and rude myself when I realized they’d given me the boot AFTER reaching into my bank account with no explanation, notification or more importantly NO authorization. I’ll take the hit financially, but kicking a longtime customer to the curb after collecting the stylist’s commission and making her whole is unconscionable. And Destin? Apparently the 40% tips and the commissions you collected from my product purchases weren’t appreciated. With styling and product purchases my appts typically amounted to $375 - $400. In addition I also purchase products in between appointments. Apparently it’s all about the money $$$$$, forget human decency. Any response they post attempting to justify their indefensible actions will only emphasize my point.

I absolutely love Destin and New York, New York. In my experience with hair stylists, you get what you pay for. Destin is one of the most knowledgeable stylists I’ve ever encountered. She always does what is in the best interest of my hair and her knowledge is off the charts. She delivers an excellent result every single time. Always a relaxing experience! Jordan did my nails and she was awesome! She made recommendations and when the color that i selected didn’t look the way it did in the bottle, she confirmed that I liked it before proceeding and it turned out that I didn’t so we switched colors. Overall a great experience and my nails look fabulous!
