My husband injured his back four years ago while assisting an elderly family member, and has sought medical help since then, with nothing relieving the pain. On a flight home from Tucson in March I was involved in a conversation with the gentleman in the next seat. He was on his way back to Switzerland after having attended a training session in Tucson for Neural Reset Therapy (NRT). He was hoping to use the knowledge he had obtained to help an injured dancer he was treating. Everything he said gave me hope that this might be what my husband needed. An online search for someone in the Greater Cincinnati area trained in NRT lead us to Next Step Therapeutics and Kevin. After the first session, my husband looked taller and was walking straighter. He had developed the "back pain slouch" since the injury, but the first session had improved his posture tremendously. He still returns every 4-8 weeks for Kevin's expertise. But Kevin has shown me some techniques that we can use at home, to help relieve the muscle pain between office visits. My husband purchased one of the massage tools that Kevin uses in the office. It comes in handy when I can't press deeply enough to fully massage the "back knots" or when my husband feels tightness in his lower back after sitting at his desk for a long period of time or after long road trips. He can "self massage" those back muscles. Kevin is a very calm and relaxing person. He makes you feel at ease just by the way he talks. And the atmosphere of his office and therapy room is just as calming. The lighting is softened. There is relaxing music, but it is "very much in the background". The temperature is comfortable, neither warm nor cool. Simple comfortable layout with plants, photos, and simple but welcoming furniture. And the scent; I love the scent. It's a combination of things, but I pick up the gentle touch of cloves in there somewhere. Kevin is a wealth of knowledge, too. He explains the why's and how's behind everything he does, if you are interested. He asks for continuous feedback from my husband throughout the one hour sessions: "pain", "tight", "tender", etc. And he is constantly learning, then he shares his new knowledge with us. We have yet to try the techniques he shared with us last month. We will. However, it's just a matter of me finding time to read through some of the introductory information online and view some of the videos. My husband's pain is not completely gone, but it is significantly improved to the point that we travel and hike more. He no longer fears bumps in the road, climbing stairs or carrying grocery bags or his luggage. His range of motion has him acting 10-15 years younger than he was before he visited Kevin. And, he brags about the things he can do now, that he couldn't do before. Insurance does not cover the cost of the sessions, but it is well worth every penny we spend. FYI: There is only one reserved parking space in the parking lot behind the building (where the entrance is located), so we try to time our arrival as close to appointment time as possible. Also, on our first visit, we missed the turn from Erie Ave onto Tarpis Ave (where the parking lot is located) and drove around "non-grid" streets until we could try again. A helpful hint is to turn onto Tarpis on the side opposite "The Mushroom House". There is not a traffic light at this intersection, so there is no opportunity to pause and look around. Maybe "Google map-it" for other landmarks before driving there.

This therapy helped me so much! I was in pretty extreme tailbone pain for months after having my child. I tried numerous different doctors to help with the pain. After one session i was 75% better and after 2 i was 100%. He even helped get a knot out of my neck that had been there for years from using a computer mouse! Can't recommend Kevin enough!

Kevin is caring, knowledgeable, and professional. He has a very calming aura and really listens to my concerns. During the treatment he welcomes open communication about what he is doing and explains it in a way that is understandable. I've never felt more relaxed during and after a therapeutic massage. Regular massages (at other businesses) did not cut it for me. I work out 6/7 days of the week and was very tight from sitting at work all day. Kevin did a reset of the body/mind and really helped me open up after 12 months of neck and back tightness/pain. Various massage materials used but more importantly extreme knowledge of the body and the ability to release muscles that are stuck or tight. Very glad that I found Kevin and will be returning for any future needs - def recommend!

Amazing relief. I've been suffering from severe should pain in both shoulders that kept me awake at night for most of a year.. Dr. said full shoulder replacement surgery is the only solution but my arthritis isn't far enough along yet. The pain was unbearable. I was getting intermittent relief from other pro-active holistic methods like acupuncture (which I love) and my regular Pilates sessions (okay, I love that too - not as enthusiastically). Still, though, my shoulders would lock up and I had extremely limited range of motion - and the pain, pain, pain. I have a very high tolerance obviously since I've been living with this so long - but it was no way to live. I went to Kevin thinking that maybe kneading the kinks out of my neck and shoulders would provide some relief. I'd been to him before for massages and liked his work. We talked about Neural Reset Therapy or massage and decided that the Neural Reset Therapy was worth a try. WOW!!! I have prolonged relief and more range of movement. My right shoulder is virtually pain free and the left shoulder, where the arthritis is worse is tremendously improved. He also did some work on my back and neck. I've had two back surgeries and can't believe the improved spring in my step and overall more awareness which was lost after my L5 S1 surgery. So glad I tried the Neural Reset Therapy. The Neural Reset Therapy that Kevin gives me is targeted to my health issues and he seems to enjoy 'solving the problem'. I hope this review helps people but not so much that I cannot get an appointment. Kevin is great.

Kevin helped me so much. As a massage therapist for 24 years I thought I had seen it all. His technique NRT really works. I’ve had cervical and thoracic issues for the last three years. After my first session I was without any achy pain after working all day. I am surprised at how effective his massage style is. He patiently explained what he was doing and covered so many different issues that have been plaguing me for a very long time. Kevin’s bodywork is unique & it works. I can’t say enough about his professionalism & his genuine interest in helping you heal. I am a touring performer & I am no stranger to body pain. I had so many issues with muscle tension, minor injuries, etc. , often the effects of body work only last a day, but every time I walked out of a session with Kevin, I felt so grounded and open. I could feel the lasting effects over the weeks. It’s crazy that such light touch & soft manipulation can shift the tension! Seeing Kevin for Neural Reset Therapy (NRT) has made a huge difference in my rehab after a complex shoulder surgery. While I love a traditional massage, the relief from traditional massage techniques usually doesn't last long for me. I have often experienced a return of tension and pain as I walk away from the table after a traditional massage. With Kevin's NRT techniques, I've experienced measurable improvements in range of motion, muscle tension and pain after each treatment that last and can be built upon to help me get more out of my PT rehab exercises. NRT is also much more comfortable than the pressure of a traditional massage would be on my post-surgical shoulder. I called Kevin after I had severely strained my back. The pain was so intense I couldn’t catch my breath. It radiated down the front of my legs, making it nearly impossible to do my job. I found myself hunched over & unable to lift my right leg. It took about 20 minutes for me to get out of bed, and just the act of sitting down caused a scorching amount of pain. I was desperate for help and reached out to Kevin. He explained NRT to me, but I don’t think I fully comprehended much as I was in some intense agony, terrified the pain would become chronic (as a previous back injury had become years before). After one 90-minute session, I went home with not much difference in my degree of pain, but when I woke up the next morning, I was shocked-no pain!!! I went back in for a second NRT session, and once again-I woke up feeling even better! Kevin is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He is extremely professional and knows his stuff! My first session was during the re-opening of businesses after the Covid lockdown. Kevin is diligent about State Covid guidelines and I felt very safe to be there. I discovered NRT a couple years ago. I had been doing routine massage for about 8 years. Massage alone was not addressing my pain and mobility issues. NRT has given me virtually pain-free mobility after routine visits over the past year. I have a birth defect in the hips that’s caused me issues as I got older. The combination of nrt and massage has all but diminished that pain. My career has me doing a lot of repetitive movements, it’s amazing what nrt can do for the muscles that cramp and ache from this. The results are also much longer lasting with routine visits over massage. When I alternate NRT & massage every 2 weeks, I feel like a whole new person!

I wasn’t sure of what to expect because I had never tried Neural Reset Therapy before. But I have had chronic pain and headaches after a car accident for the past 4 years. Kevin is a caring and very knowledgeable practitioner. He listened carefully to my list of symptoms and what I wanted to "work on". He is also easy to coordinate with, since I was seeing several body workers at the same time. I got results almost immediately after my visit and continued to see improvements with each visit. Kevin is a pro at Neuro Reset Therapy.He is great at pinpointing triggers and tight spots I didn't even know I had. Kevin is awesome! Came in for some NRT on my shoulder and it worked wonders. He pinpointed exactly where my pain and tension was on our first session. I’ve never had any body work done before and he made me feel completely comfortable with it. He broke each step down and explained exactly what he was doing. Was a very relaxing experience and I felt, still feel, great! Even came back a week later for a traditional massage as the icing on top. Class act guy, would highly recommend 👍
