I made a 4:30 in the evening appointment, when I arrived early, they had a different person sitting in my spot and thought that was me. People working are very nice, but the work was very poorly done. I chose a light color and only two coats were placed which showed streaking and the nail through. Due to it looking bad I requested it to be removed. The woman working verbalized that she should’ve put more than two coats due to the color being Light. I expected it to not be charged due to the poor quality done. However, the individual working requested that I pay $20 for “manicure and Massage”. I was cut once on my pinky by the trimming device and the manicure was sub par. I do not recommend coming here if you have any attention to detail or expect a good job to be done.

I’m here bc my long time hairdresser moved here. She’s been cutting my hair since I was 8. I get the same thing every time lol so all I have to do is go there, sit down, and let her work her magic. Her Vietnamese name is Thuỷ and I think her English name is Teresa. She accepts walk-in and by appointment. Cash is preferred. I’m not sure how many days a week she works but I only go to her on the weekends. Her new hours at this place on the weekend is from 10-5 or 6.

Lilly who also goes by Lee, was SO WONDERFUL! I walked in 30 mins before closing time and I was desperate for my nails to be done and she took me in and was so sweet through the entire process. Usually nail techs can be very moody if you come too clos to closing time and will try to rush you but she took her time and was also very talkative. She did not treat me like a customer, she treated me as if I was a friend in need of a favor which I absolutely appreciated and loved. I will be back and I hope to see Lilly again! I walked in for a pedi. There was a small wait, but that's not unexpected for service without an appointment. I really enjoyed the service, but always feel bad for technicians working on my "man feet" lol. I'll be coming back, and I recommend.

Needed a birthday weekend treat for the guys. Started off asking Tony (@ Tony's Salon) for a good recco on a pedi. He pointed us to Nina. The service was great. We got seated fast and had a hot tea within minutes. The pedi was great and relaxing. I went with green sparkles...but you can do a clear coat if that is how you roll. Prices were perfect! Highly recommend! Have been back twice...the manicure is hard to beat! The folks are very kind and professional...the work is very professional. Definitely recommend for a fun afternoon!

I’m very disappointed I went there for a no-chip manicure and the woman who did my nails told me that my manicure would last at least 2 weeks and on the third day that happened... I paid $40 for a no-chip manicure but it seems like I got I normal manicure

Walked in to get my acrylics removed but no one there knew how to do it. I asked if I could get them clipped at least but still nothing. Was asked to return in an hour. Safe to say I won’t be going back. If you don’t have a nail tech at a nail place, bye..

I have had my nails done multiple times before by Nina. She always does a beautiful job. If there is an issue, she makes sure it is resolved. I highly recommend this salon if you want your nails done well. I will definitely be a regular here.

I was in Chicago for work last week and went to Nina's on a whim to get my nails done. I requested a full set gel with tips but was talked into dip. I've had dip in the past and was okay making the change but regret it now. The nail tech completed my left hand without issue but had a lot of trouble with two fingers in particular on my right hand what simply were not setting right. After about 2 hours and re-doing two nails multiple times, I was finally able to walk out with a full set...Unfortunately, with only one nail tech on hand, the woman was running between three guests to do our manicures so by the end, she cut me with a file and basically ignored the fact that one of my nails (pictured below) is twice as thick as rest. She attempted to "thin it from the bottom" but it did not work. It's been one week since I had my nails done and one has cracked already, another completely broke off today. I have had dip in the past last over 3 weeks without breaking so I know this is not how things are supposed to go. Since I do not live locally, I called Nina's to request at least a partial refund for the broken nail and to alert them to the issues I was having. The person I spoke to sounded very young and would only tell me they do not offer refunds. I believe this is a new business and understand there is a learning curve to dip. I would recommend waiting until some of the kinks are worked out before visiting.

Their « no-chip » manicure started to chip in 4 days.
