This place has helped with my severe pain in my hips and lower back where I have a lot of tight muscles from sitting all day. I always go for acupuncture and cupping. Never a bad experience here.

Dr Yen, the acupuncturist, is a miracle worker! Excruciating arm, neck and hand pain - gone! Sleep apnea and snoring - gone! The sessions are very affordable and Dr Yen is a master of the art - not all acupuncturists are equal. He is the best I've ever been to. I always feel heard and never rushed. The results are amazing. Truly a North Austin gem!

I cannot say enough good things about Yen and Mimi. They've been here for decades. This place is unpretentious and equally unassuming. They've helped my wife and I through injuries, mental health crisis, and sickness. They helped me get rid of my snoring. We are both off all pharmaceuticals and only taking herbs and vitamins as needed. There's a whole slew of acupuncturists around, many of them concentrated on Burnet Rd. Skip the rest and go see the best.

Wonderful little spot in central Austin. Dr. Yen and Mimi really have a special touch and are so genuinely caring. I've been getting acupuncture from Dr. Yen for several months now, and I've been consistently impressed with the results and level of care he provides. I've also been getting salon services from his wife Mimi and am always happy. I definitely recommend this place. It's high-quality, affordable, and accessible. I just call and make an appointment.

I came here because of all the good reviews and they offered a variety of services. I called ahead and made an appointment for a mani/pedi and a hot stone massage. When I arrived they had me down for a facial instead of a massage. They asked if I could come back in an hour and I declined. Then they said they could still get me in for a massage. The mani/pedi was just okay. There's no frills and they don't offer SNS and only had a handful of gel colors along with regular polishes. During my massage I could smell cigarette smoke. The price was fairly inexpensive for all 3 services but you also get what you pay for. Don't go in expecting a high value pampered spa treatment but if you're on a tight budget then this place is a good option.

For the first time ever, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I was a bit nervous, as expected with something as intricate, delicate and powerful as this beautifully ancient practice is. The entire staff is very welcoming, and professional. The doctor took his time explaining what were the causes of my symptoms (that I have had for many years now), and to my surprise the doctor confirmed to me what I always believed, but never got a reassuring answer from conventional doctors. And that is every part of our body is connected (and/or interconnected), and he was able to explain to me how the issues with my lower back, are related to respiratory issues that I have had, and so forth. I informed the doctor of the medications, and treatments that I used in the past, he reassured me that with his help it will take some time for my body (inside and out) to heal properly. And in a calm and welcoming demeanor, he reassured me that the treatment, will give my body and mind the rejuvenation I have long been seeking. So without anything further to say, I put myself in his care, and I barely felt anything as the doctor inserted the needles into me. After he finished placing all the necessary needles, the doctor put on rain and bird sounds, for me to listen to while taking a deep sleep. About an hour later, the needles were removed, and some herbal oil was rub on my back, legs, hands and ankles. As I got ready to leave, I felt a great surge of raw, and intense energy flowing through me. It was an amazing feeling. I also received a herbal supplement to help with the continued healing process, and I can say for certainty that feel absolutely wonderful. Peaceful energy when I sleep, and a natural adrenaline rush when I am awake, and going about my day. I feel 10x better during my workouts, and enjoy my hiking even more so now. Just before I went to Nina's to try the acupuncture, I had an energy drink, as that is what I was use to consuming throughout my day. I haven't touched that energy drink since last week Monday, and I'm testing myself to see how long I will go without buying and consuming another one of those drinks. Thank you to the entire staff at Nina's, and thank you very much to the wonderful, and gifted doctor who helped me to take another step closer into understanding my body, mind and spiritual connection. Five stars! Highly recommend!

I get acupuncture done here and I am so impressed! He is an expert in his field. The last acupuncture place I went to, it seemed like they were guessing. But here, they talk you through the whole process and the effects have been amazing! Every need he puts in he tells me what that needle is for. I had stomach cramps and he was able to open my esophagus which made a huge difference. He was also able to fix my sciatic nerve pain and muscle pain.

I haven’t been here in quite some time, but plan to start going to them again for brow waxing. I love that they welcome walk-ins, well I hope they still do! I’d started getting my brows threaded elsewhere until I recently learned it’s bad for your skin. I haven’t experienced any issues with brow threading, but don’t want to tempt fate. These ladies also do a great job with nails, and might get a set of their gels b/c I deserve to treat myself! Their services are definitely a beautiful treat. 💝

Nina’s Day Spa has the nicest people working here. They really accommodate to your body and what it needs. If you come for a full body massage, they will focus on the areas of the body that need the most work. I knew I had bad shoulders and my masseuse (Mimi) said my hips were more tight. She said she can tell I sit too much, which is true bc I work in the office. Anyway, highly recommend getting a massage there.

Best feel-good refresher in all of Austin. Prices are amazing and somehow the service is even better! Everyone is very friendly and they have some of the best tea I've ever had "on tap" while you wait. I was skeptical because they offer a huge variety of services, from hair and nails to massage and acupuncture, but they are all equally wonderful. I cannot recommend Nina's enough. You will walk away feeling fantastic (and like you got one heck of a good deal)!
