I recently had my hair done by Theresa at North Of Main. and I couldn't be happier with the results! From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt welcomed and at ease. Theresa took the time to listen to what I wanted and offered expert advice on how to achieve the best look for my hair type. The attention to detail and skillful technique were evident throughout the entire appointment. My hair has never looked better, and I've received so many compliments! This is the best salon ever. Everyone here is very nice, very professional. Salon is very clean too! Theyre quick to get an appointment an accomodating with the schedule. I use Brianna, but everyone here shows great talent. They LISTEN and aren’t people who like to take off extra (if you know you know) salon is cute and welcoming. And they’re quick, but do the work perfectly. Never been disappointed. A must try!!!

Amazing place with great talent!!! I used to get headaches when I get my hair washed at my old salons…but not in their very comfortable chairs! One of the many pluses of this place. I feel super at home there. My hair looks amazing. 100% recommend!!!

I could not be happier with my service today! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The salon feels so luxurious, as do the products they use. And on a weird note: the hair wash sinks are SO comfortable on the neck. I have EDS which causes neck issues and these sinks didn’t hurt! I will absolutely be returning.

I followed Brianna from her old salon to North of Mane - she makes the trek from Huntington absolutely worth it every time. Not only is her salon the most aesthetically pleasing on the island, her and the team are extremely warm and hospitable, offering drinks/snacks as soon as you enter. Everyone at North of Mane continues to educate themselves on the newest styling/haircare trends which is super important for me. Brianna’s relationships with her clients are her top priority and it shows from how she treats you and how she pays attention to all your goals and needs in the chair. North of Mane makes getting my hair done feel less like an upkeeping choir but an experience I look forward to every time I make an appointment!

I have always had trouble with getting my hair colored to my liking and generally am displeased. Those days are over! From the moment i walked into the salon, i knew i was in good hands. The whole aesthetic was so welcoming and reassuring. When Brianna asked me what I wanted, I told her I trust her to decide (which I’ve never done before) and I have never been more pleased! It’s been over 6 months and I walk in and out with the exact same feeling…and my hair has never looked better!

I was referred to Victoria by my boyfriend as she’s been a lovely client of his for years. Victoria is so kind, caring, and truly puts her heart into her work! I’m terrible at taking care of my hair as I’m clueless when it comes to hair care, styling, etc. She graciously guided me through what products she recommends, how often I should visit the salon for color upkeep, and how to truly LOVE and feel confident about your hair! I’ve never been taught how to properly care for my curly hair that I straighten often and I’m blown away by the advice she gave me during our salon time. I’ve been a clip-in extensions girl for YEARS and always hid my broken natural hair behind my extensions. During my appointment, she shaped up my natural hair and then blended the extensions in beautifully. When I got home and took the clip-in extensions out, I was so IN LOVE with how my natural hair looked and I’ve never felt that way! My hair feels so healthy and looks stunning. Victoria has crazy talent and her expertise is unmatched. As for the salon, the space is beautiful with lots of cute decor and warm lighting. They offer mimosas, coffee, wine & snacks! The communication when it comes to booking is seamless as they have great availability, they communicate pricing which is accurate and affordable, and the ladies are all SO sweet! 10/10 AMAZING experience! ❤️

Victoria is truly the best there is! I went to my appointment ready for a big change. Victoria took the time to go over several options with me and provided me with so much helpful information and supported me in my rebranding so much so that she empowered me by letting me make the first cut. I am in love with my new color and cut and feel so confident thanks to her, it’s better than I could have ever imagined. I had the best experience chatting with her throughout the appointment, making the time spent at North of Mane feel like a much needed retreat. Victoria, the salon and their team are the best in the business. I’m so looking forward to the next appointment!

I had the best experience today at North of Mane salon with Victoria. Not only was she so sweet, she listened and gave excellent guidance towards achieving literally the best haircut of my life. She took her time to creat long layers and frame my face all while being so hospitable offering coffee, mimosa.. just the sweetest person! I look forward to going back and honestly found my hair genie! Love her!

I went here for the first time today and they were able to squeeze me in last minute which was so kind of them from the start! I had an amazing hairstylist Taylor who I cannot say enough good things about! I wanted to switch up my very long, wavy/curly hair without doing something drastic, and she knew exactly what to do! She took her time with the length of every layer, and all of her suggestions were spot on! I can't wait for my next haircut!!

I'm 28 years old and I've been doing glazes for years (on LI but also in different cities, different states) North of Mane is literally the first salon that has ever shown me a color swatch of what the color glaze would look like prior to application. THANK YOU! I had a 5-star experience all around, my stylist Lauren took the time to ask me questions about what I want prior to me even being in the chair. I appreciate that! My hair turned out amazing, my damaged balayage hair (done at another salon) now feels healthy, has retained the amount of length I wanted to keep, and is a beautiful glossy brown color. The interior of the salon is so cute, decorated adorable, they have the technology you would want (like salon dyers) color swatches, the works. The girl who did my wash took her time and did a great job. They offer you drinks and snacks as you wait. I really can't say enough good things, highly recommend. I will be back!

Their attention to detail at every level of service is unlike anything I’ve seen in another salon. They truly care about their clients and want you to have a great experience with them and everyone on their staff from start to finish - from the front desk, to the technicians who shampoo you, to your hair goals wish list. I always feel so pampered and taken care of every time I go. I get compliments on my hair color constantly and always refer people here! I brought my 3yo for her first haircut here too and she even felt the love. Brianna is my go to and I will never have a reason to go to any other salon but North of Mane. I’ve been a client of one of the owners, Brianna for the last 7 years. She is a top notch colorist here on Long Island and I could not wait to visit her new salon North of Mane right in the heart of Patchogue! From the moment I stepped in everything was luxurious and beautiful. The staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. Brianna took her time with my highlights and haircut to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and her assistant was super thorough with my shampoo and conditioning treatments. Not to mention the shampoo chairs are SO comfortable! My hair came out amazing! Best salon I’ve ever been to, I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Justina is by FAR the best hair stylist/colorist I have ever found in over 20 plus years of getting my hair colored. Her skill level with color/foils and cutting is unmatched. Her efficiency is impressive. She did a beautiful job correcting my brassy, dull highlights and gave me a wonderful haircut/blowout. She did the highlight foils tight and right to the root (some stylists at other salons have left bleed marks, and space at the root, making it look terrible.) She listened to all of my requests and my hopes for the outcome of how I wanted my hair to turn out. I was in and out of there in under 2 hours which is very desirable for me, (as some stylists at other salons) have taken 3 plus hours to do an inferior job. I will definitely be making North of Mane my new hair place for the future! Thank you Justina!

However, Brianna is a bright light in a dark room. I am beyond grateful to have found a stylist who truly takes pride in her work and her clients. This salon is 11/10. All of the staff is wonderful and the salon is beautiful and clean. Brianna is top notch and I have not let anyone else touch my hair for almost 10 years. She is sweet, personable and knows my hair better than I do. I trust her implicitly. Vanessa always greets me with a smile and gave the most relaxing shampoo I ever had. Look no further!

Victoria, had blown me away with not only how kind she is but just how good she listens to her clients and gives them exactly what they need or are also looking for! She beamed me up with a correction on my color and completely rocked my world! I have been feeling like a brand new woman! I can not thank her enough for helping me feel so beautiful, confident and comfortable with my hair style again! My hair was completely damaged by bleach and was falling out, if it wasn’t for Victoria I would still be struggling to find a good hair stylist who knows how to actually do hair correctly. I am beyond grateful to have found this beautiful, clean friendly, upbeat salon. It’s absolutely beautiful inside, very on trend and the owners are more than a delight!
