Neelo is so talented... truly. Every cut&style I have had with her (20+ years of service!) is unique and long-lasting. And I get lots of compliments from friends and strangers alike! I have also recommended her to my friends...everyone recognizes her extraordinary talent.

I made an appointment with Nelo for hair and makeup for our family photo shoot. I showed her a picture of the makeup I desired and explained that I wanted it to look natural. The makeup was extremely heavy and my skin tone looks orange. Needless to say I will be washing my makeup when I get home and doing my own makeup. Then she was to loosely curl my past shoulder length hair and and then I wanted it half up with a braid in the up part. After curling my hair she said it was “too fine” and she couldn’t braid it. So ultimately, I was charged for a hair styling that I didn’t even get. I will have to go home and hurry to get myself of ready for photos with time I don’t have. I chose this salon because it said she specialized in hair and makeup. It has been 20 min. since I left the salon and my face is itching. Perhaps my skin is allergic to her “special line” of makeup. So discouraged right now.

I am just in town visiting my sister in law and she wanted to treat me to get my hair done. My other appointment fell through and she came and said she could fit me in her schedual. She helped me pick a color and trimmed my ends. She also told me tips for my hair and products. I definitely recommend.

She is amazing. I’ve been going to her for years and would never trust anyone else with my hair. She spends so much time and attention to detail on my cut and color every time I go...and I have very thick long hair but she always does a perfect job! I highly recommend her!

I recently moved from Philadelphia to Raleigh a few weeks ago. I was in desperate need of a haircut and I had about 5 months of roots. I was terrified to try a new stylist, because I have had plenty of negative experiences before. My hair is one of the features of myself that I take pride in. I have very thick, long, naturally healthy dirty blonde hair. I decided to give NZL Salon a shot after looking over her website and the reviews listed on Groupon. I was still super nervous, because I usually only trust my hairdresser in Pennsylvania. Neelo was everything I could have wished for in a hairdresser. She has a very clean and organized space with a collection of her own make up line greeting you as you walk in. She has serious talent. She knew things about my hair that I had no idea. I asked for a trim with long layers, and a long side bang that can still be placed behind my ear with natural highlights...and I got the best haircut and highlight I have ever had. Neelo is not only extremely talented she is also very efficient. Usually I am at the salon for 4 hours, because my hair is very very long. I was only there for 2. I had excellent service, and am excited to have found a new hairdresser I can trust. I can't wait to try her make up and skin care line.
