Just the best experience I've ever had at a salon, ever. Cannot say enough about how thoughtful and talented Kimi is. I'm always overwhelmed at traditional salons by the noise, the music, and often didn't feel understood. I am SO grateful to have found them and will be going there religiously from now on.

I have had a $25 bang trim from Coral maybe twice now in the past two months or so… both being grossly disappointing in symmetry & completely lacking in friendly atmosphere. I can recall meeting them at the door for our 10 am appt about a month ago and kindly asking them if they normally work this early (because they were visibly unhappy to be there and was met with hostility in their response). They responded with, „Why do you ask?“ in a viscerally disgruntled manner. The look they gave me, quite frankly, had me taken aback. Their energy is perpetually rancid and unpleasant. Today I had to cancel our appointment due to a family emergency, and was told I would be charged the full amount of the bang trim which is $25 in the most transactional and unempathetic way humanly possible. So if you are looking for a mediocre at best haircut from a human robot who will treat you like a stranger after interacting with them for a full 2 years, Coral is the way to go! Be weary of their cancellation fee which runs at a rate of 100% for 24 hours prior to the appointment. Even if you are a regular of their‘s, you are not exempt from being taken advantage of.

Couldn't find it as there was no signage and no one called me back. Not sure how they stay in business - or if they even are anymore. Update: Passive aggressive response from one of the stylists make this place a hard no for me. I wasn't looking for me - I was looking for gender affirming haircare for a transperson living in my household with severe anxiety issues. Called and left messages with all three numbers available on the website and never heard back. Attempted to drive to location and obviously your signage isn't adequate as I couldn't find the place. 0/10 do not recommend.

I actually came here a while back and I don’t think I ever left a review! The only reason I haven’t been back is because I am an impulsive soul and am constantly cutting my hair, LOL. Coral gave me one of the best cuts of my life though. EVERYONE loved it. They used the angles in my hair to its advantage and it was just a PHENOMENAL cut, a pseudo deathhawk if you will. I actually specifically chose this salon because I am a huge Hairstory shill and this was one of the only salons in the area who catered to Hairstory clients. The kindness of Coral and the pure artistry was a huge asset to my visit. I literally live right by this salon now, so I should be coming back soon ;). I gotta say too, the atmosphere is *chef’s kiss*. As a Buddhist I REALLY appreciate the aura this place has and the peaceful nature of everyone who is a hairdresser here. You could literally meditate in the chair; if you wanted to. That’s how peaceful it is. And Coral (and I’m assuming everyone else) was very adamant about my safety and wellbeing and thoughtful about the whole process. Which I appreciate because I have sensory issues and it can be a little harrowing to go somewhere and not know if the stylist is going to be a nice person or not. Or even if the sensory stuff will grate on you, etc. Like I really can’t say enough good things about Oddities. I ALSO find it really convenient to order stuff from Hairstory and Cult + King on their web page, and of course I want them to be credited for their referral…! Anyway, I’ve typed a novel but I really love this place. As you can tell! I think every alt person in Knoxville should come here at least once, it’s definitely a vibe you can appreciate.

My first trip here and I love this place. Kimi trimmed my hair up so nice. I love it. Such a relaxed atmosphere. If you dont feel relaxed here its probably not gonna happen... 😊💜🌈

Oddities Hair Parlour is truly a Knoxville gem! I came in for a razor cut with Kimi and I'm beyond thrilled with the results. Kimi is a very talented hair artist with great attention to detail, not to mention a warm and genuine soul who really listens to your input and hair needs. She is passionate about her craft and does her best to work with you to make your vision come to life. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, truly a safe space where one can be themselves without fear of judgment. As a Knoxville native, I am so proud that we have Oddities Hair Parlour and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Odities is by far the best hair salon I’ve been to. The studio feels like such a safe and calm place from the moment you walk in. Kimi did a wonderful job and I know the other stylists are just as incredible. I will seriously recommend Odities to everyone in my life and you will too!!

This was hands down the best hair cut experience I’ve ever had! I came in with some nerves cause I was making a big change and Kimi immediately made me feel so safe and comfortable. The whole vibe in the space is so peaceful. Kimi listened to what I wanted and gave me the exact cut I had been dreaming of. I also love the products that were used on my hair and will be purchasing soon but there was never any pressure to purchase after my cut. I really appreciated that. I will def be back!

I went in quite nervous to go back to the mullet style but coral hit the nail right on the head and then some! my go to now for sure <3

I’ve never felt so seen and accepted in a salon! Kimi is so kind and always leaves me feeling lighter (both physically and emotionally) after a haircut. Highly recommend to anyone who’s a bit eclectic and ready for a change!

Kimi does such a fantastic job! She is so kind and welcoming and makes her guests feel so comfortable. As a previous hairdresser, I’m probably not the easiest client, but Kimi understood exactly what I wanted and gave me the best cut and color! I also love her salon’s liberal aesthetic. If you’re looking for quality, kindness and an LBGTQE and Black Lives Matter business, get your hair done here!

Oddities is an eclectic, inclusive space and a Knoxville treasure. Kimi is an incredible human that I highly recommend! The creativity and attention to detail during my experience, resulted in the best (and my most favorite) hair cut that I’ve had in a long time. 10/10 Can’t wait to get a cut again!

Oddities was hands down my best salon experience ever. I've always felt uncomfortable in salons- they are often gossipy, clients judge you by how you look, stylists often complain about the weight of my hair and tell me how hard it is to work with, nobody will wear a mask. Oddities is having none of that. Their Covid protocols are excellent. Kimi is an absolute dream. She gave me exactly what I wanted and her compliments on my hair made me tear up. She was so easy to talk to. I can't wait to go back!

This was the absolute best experience I have ever had at a salon hands down. Kimi was so sweet and kind. I usually get very anxious when I get my hair done but she made me feel VERY comfortable. She took her time and made me feel like a million bucks ! Highly recommend this salon.
