Horrible!!!!! I teachers are lairs and lazy. They don’t really help the students aren’t helpful to customers. They give inaccurate prices. Try to over charge for services that are posted. In one occasion I came in for - 10 mins wax. Just chin and jaw line was refused said she didn’t have students. When there was students sitting around.

This place is not worth it. I called two days ahead, came in two days for service after assured the second time for service and didn't get it. They just are not equipped and it is not a very professional little place. Total bummer. Note it from someone who doesn't write reviews.

Don’t step foot into this salon. The absolute most worst hair experience ever!!! I went in at 10:30 am and left at 5:15pm and my hair was still not finished. The braider was extremely slow, and said that she had never done the style of braids that I wanted (after doing half of my hair). I didn’t not expect to be there that long so I had another appointment at 6pm. So I told the braider that I had another at 6 and she said that it was fine if I left and came back. So I was back before since and they braider had already left and they refused to finish my hair and told me I could come back on Friday (which I live 1hr. 30min, and paid $85 plus a $15 tip) I obviously couldn’t come back on Friday due to work and school so I went and had another braider to finish one of the top sections (which I had to pay $60) Needless to say on Thursday the braids that the braider did not tie off started coming undone and I had to finish taking them out and i have to pay another $100 dollars to get my hair redone somewhere else.

please don’t go to this place again because they charge you too much money for nothing. They don’t know how to make hair I am not blaming the student. I blame the teacher. The teacher is so rude. She don’t know how to treat people she treat you unfairly the teacher is not good new students I understand they don’t know how to make hair they teacher she don’t treat you very well please don’t waste your money. Don’t waste your time over there.

I had long, incredibly damaged, thick and unmanageable hair. I had my appointment with Brittnee today and her work is immaculate. She listened to my wants, and concerns then worked some kind of magic on my hair. She was incredibly patient and slowly took off length. Her instructor is also incredible, I can’t recommend these well instructed students enough.

Don’t waste your money! The place is disgusting everything is broken, dusty, crusty musty. As a student, I’d spend my money else where unless u wanna be in prison for 1500 hours stuck doing flat irons all day. The 1800 hr course is a joke and u don’t learn anything “extra”.They don’t teach textured hair, it’s literally skipped over in class. So is lashes and brows, they claim you will learn but you won’t. Some instructors care and do what they can to teach without resources. The nail program is self taught. Administration is racist. Products for all programs are cheap and out dated. During winter the hot water was broken days at a time. Students couldn’t wash hand with warm water and clients were getting shampoo with freezing water the show went on under those critical circumstances!!!

Worst hair school ever the Director MRS.HICKS the one with the red hair and the glasses that was was there today on March 1, 2024 at 12:50 PM you are disrespectful at its finest they like to experiment in black peoples hair and then when you don’t like it they say oh well and when you want to request someone, they won’t let you because as she said, this is a school, not a salon and they have to learn. Even though the one I requested knows how to do hair and she is in that school. She does a very good job the student. #Canal Winchester location

I’m giving this one star because I have to. I’m also writing this as I am sitting inside the Aveda school treating my mom to a little girlie time. We initially had an appointment at the Gender Rd. Location. We had a 12:30 simple shampoo and style with trim. I arrive at 12:25. Mom gets there around 12:32. We sit for ten minutes and no one even acknowledges us. Ten more minutes go by and a lady walks in. We all wait for another five. The school director walks up, acknowledges the walk-in client but never says a word to us. Then proceeds to schedule her with a stylist. Within minutes she is seen. This was after another five minute discussion the director has with the walk-in client. She then starts walking away when I mention no one has helped us. She then walks into the salon looking to assign someone, we watch two of the most unprofessional students propped up on break I guess just stare back and forth. All the while, I’m taking note of this filthy front reception area. Filthy seating, filthy floors. Just tacky. So after a near 30 minutes waiting, I tell mom, we are leaving. No way I’m trusting your students when your director is that tacky. I tell the now receptionist working the desk, we are cancelling and why and she was unbothered, bored or as unprofessional as the person running the school. We drove up to Aveda and they booked mom right in. We waited 5 minutes. Mom got a full spa experience, so left a tip bigger than the service. As I always do at the schools. Will never go back to an Ohio school again. They are all pretty shabby and depressing. Add in bad service and it’s just not worth it. I’d rather just be pay more for decent service.

this place is a joke no ac no ventilation for my pregnet student and a instructor yelled at her and told her she's sorry she got pregnant. my daughter has been upset rfor months and they tell her to take a leave of absence instead of making it a safe environment...for her to work in . who does this to people who has rights ..BTW way this is the heath office

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They lie about taking walk ins over the phone. Walked in on a random day and they had me waiting telling me that they only make appointments for family and friends first. But if I’d like to wait, I can get serviced if there was a cancellation. Waited an hour and and there wasn’t any cancellations. But while waiting, I noticed 5 students not working or doing a single client. They were just sitting around by the front window talking. All i asked for was a wash and dry and maybe some curls if they have time. So I left. Called today which is a couple weeks later for an appointment. They told me they don’t take walk ins after 2:30. All they do is lie. I wouldn’t waste my time walking on or making appointments. They are just lazy and if it’s open to the public, everyone should be able to make appointments. Not just family and friends.

Canal location rude cut me off while explaining what I was requesting. Student said LISTEN LISTEN! As I tried to explain you don’t talk to a customer like that the instructor Eli was heard in the background saying she will have to go another school gets on. When I tell her that the student was unprofessional and I was explained she said “Well ..”. It old her that was rude and you don’t say that to a customer. She got loud and said No no no .. I have never seen individuals in the service industry displace such poor listening and communication skills. I totally felt that it was they did not want to do my type of hair and the call was a distraction to their morning, so at 9 am I’m fired up

Nail tech was very pleasant and appointment was easy to schedule and quick to get in, however the school needs to work on the quality of their stuff. Prices are only slightly less than shop and not near the quality. Needs way more nail polish selection. Has absolutely no fan or something to dry regular polish. I felt rushed after getting my hands done, I knew they couldn't be dry yet and of course they smudged on the way out. The instructor in the front said "u shouldve paid 1st" although I wasnt given the option. Then when they re-did the polish, the touched up one looked worse so now I have some good nails and some jacked see thru ones. Nothing much comes with a pedi. I do my own nails better tbh

Rakeysta Turner is very unprofessional! I made an appointment with her 2x and the first time she rescheduled because she was out of town and her flight was delayed. I was very understanding of that situation. Then the 2nd appointment I came into the school and she was still working on a client and told me it would take an hour to finish where I waited in my car. Then she texts me and tells me it will be longer and that I should reschedule. So I waited for nothing, and it was a lack of respect for my time! Your student needs a class for professionalism because this is unacceptable. When I tried to reason with her for a discount for a reschedule, she refused. She did not care at all for her client and that says a lot about her character. She just a lost a client, and this is a very bad representation for the school.

Although many customers experiences are never to each , I have came and watch the people here and I have had a lot of never things done for me and my son to our hair. My experience has been excellent each time and from my point of view this place is remarkable even on the worst of days it's been outstanding.

I called several times to find out what time they open and they close. I called several times to find out what time they take clients. I’ve visited this location 3 times and 3 times I was turned away because of incorrect information. Whoever answers the phone does not know enough about the business to give accurate information. I walked in three minutes after their cut off Time the woman in front of me was provided a service because I had children with me I was denied.I was never asked if all the children were going to be serviced or who the service was for. Definitely need better business management.

No problems, no wait, the stylist was very professional, neat, and did an absolute great job on my hair. I was actually very impressed on the turnout of my hair. Great job ladies :)
