After a long hiatus, I recently returned to Oleander for a facial. Not only is the experience great, the location super convenient, but I learned some things I needed to change about my skincare routine. Emma offers great products without any pressure. This time around I'm going to be seeing her more regularly. BONUS - she was able to remove a pesky skin tag safely with a sort of dehydrating zapper. I'm so glad to know a knowledgeable and skilled aesthetician in Kansas City!

Emma is a pro at giving any kind of facial you need, (e.g. like to reduce acne, wrinkles, sun damage etc.) and making it a very peaceful and relaxing experience. She uses high quality products that smell wonderful and work well, at a reasonable price. Plus she plays whatever kind of ambient, mellow music you like. (My faves are by Brian Eno, Slowdive and Cocteau Twins.) or you can Enjoy the Silence. ;-)

I recently received my first facial at Oleander Aesthetics with Emma and I will definitely be back! Emma has such a cute shop with top of the line products. She spent ample time educating me on the best products for my skin and really took the time to listen to my concerns. She customized my facial for my specific skin care needs. She is incredibly knowledgeable and provided the best facial I have ever had. I can't wait for my next visit

Making an appointment with Emma has been on my "to do" list for quite some time. I had my visit with her today and it was heavenly. Not only did I feel totally relax when I left I also felt inspired to take care of my skin. She has a great product line that she offers but definitely does not make you feel pressured to purchase. After I got home and did my research on the product line I'm planning on going back and purchasing some products. And will definitely be reappointing for some more "me time".

Emma is wonderful, and her shop is cute and relaxing. I have gone to her for facials, dermaplaning, and waxing, and I've always been happy with the experience and results. I highly recommend her!

I got dermaplaning done here for the first time and it was amazing. Even though I got it as a stand alone service instead of adding it on to a facial, she still did steam, a couple extractions, and a relaxing facial cleanse. After the dermaplaning my face is so smooth and my makeup glides on so well. Emma the owner is very knowledgeable and listens to all your concerns before giving you a facial. I was surprised to know how much she knows about acne and gives solid research based advice. This place is amazing and relaxing. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Emma is warm and welcoming when you visit. She gets to know you, your lifestyle, and your skin. She recommends what she thinks will benefit you the most without pushing you to do something you're not comfortable with. I have a wedding coming up in 2 months, and while she admitted I should have started getting facials a bit earlier, she explained a plan we could do between now and then that would still get me the results I am looking for. I did a level 1 organic fruit and glycolic peel, and was a bit nervous because I had never had a facial. Emma was right, I did not react poorly, and my skin has been glowing for the past week! I did not break out or get red and peely afterwards. Emma says she's been in the industry for nearly a decade, and her experience really shows. She knows what she's doing. I will definitely be returning.

When I arrived, Emma offered me a choice of teas and we chatted while I filled out a brief skin related medical history. Emma informed me about common misconceptions about over the counter beauty products without pressuring me to purchase anything. Once in the private procedure room I was made to feel very at ease by both Emma's demeanor and the soothing, fragrant atmosphere. I was left to get ready and asked to take whatever time I needed. I opted for the Organic Oleander facial. I felt a little nervous - having never had a facial before, but again Emma's calm professionalism put me at ease. She quietly explained what each step was before she began and I was encouraged to ask any questions throughout the process. The product line used, Image Skincare, smelled amazing and felt immediately soothing, and the warm, moist, herbal infused facial wraps made me feel so pampered. The one thought that ran through my mind as I experienced my first facial (when.I wasn't drowsing) was that Emma was doing an amazing job. Her skill level engendered almost immediate trust in her abilities and made the process that much more amazing. Though this was my first facial it will not be my last at Oleander. Thank you Emma!!! Supplemental: I went back to see Emma for a Signature Lift and could not be happier with the results! Emma instructed me on exactly how to care for my skin in the days immediately after the lift and now I look ten years younger. The texture, tone and brightness of my skin has been hugely improved. The Image Skincare after care kit I received is amazing. I will now go back every three weeks for a total of five treatments (I think) to achieve the best results, but if my skin looks this good now I am ecstatic to see the end result. I will never again balk at the idea of seeing an aesthetician. I now see it as an integral component to healthy aging. Emma is teaching me how to care for my skin - something I think the majority of men need desperately.
