Update Dec, 2024: I’ve seen Rhyan a few more times since my original review, and not only have his haircuts remained spectacular, we’ve started doing color as well, and he is truly amazing at what he does! I booked a first time hair cut appointment with Rhyan because my regular stylist at a different salon had closed her books for the summer. Rhyan took the time to make gentle suggestions that would enhance my curly hair, explaining the pros and cons of each. He was also warm, genuine, and friendly which helped my naturally shy self feel at ease. I went in for a trim; thinking this would be a one time thing, but I left with the best haircut of my life and a new stylist!

I was “fired” by the salon owner (who was also my stylist) for asking a question about pricing because I was sent a link to their new pricing on their website and I couldn’t figure out how my services added up to what I was charged. Basically on their website it said a short hair cut was $70 and roots to ends color was $100. But I was charged $270, not $170. And I tipped 20% on top of that (even though it’s unclear to me whether I “need” to tip her since she’s the owner), meaning it was $326 total. So I just asked if they could clarify the pricing? She responded to me saying “again” (even though this was the first time I got a response other than being emailed a copy of my receipt) that rates *start* at those prices, but that they’d made a mistake in not including that language on the website for those services. And then she said she’d update the website right away, had refunded me the difference & was canceling all my future appointments because she didn’t see a way forward where we both felt respected. I responded saying I certainly didn’t mean to offend her by asking a simple question, especially when she herself agreed the language needed to be changed. You’re welcome, Mindy, for me raising this issue so you could clarify pricing before other clients are similarly confused. Good luck.

I’ve gone to this hair salon twice for my hair trimming and each time I ask for Rhyan! He is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had and I will always come back just for him! He takes care of me every time and does an absolute fantastic job!!

I feel so fortunate to have discovered Rhyan at Olivet. At a loss for how to work with my limp hair, I asked Rhyan to draw upon his expertise to update my style. I came away with the best haircut I’ve had in years. As I told him, I feel more like myself than ever. He spent lots of time, almost intuitively revealing a personality I thought I’d lost. Rhyan is a gifted stylist, an artist.

Rhyan is a genius. I will never go to anyone else for a haircut as long as he and I are both in Denver. I have fine, straight hair that I exclusively air dry, and he somehow gives it so much life and movement. He gave me the exact haircut I wanted, twice, even though my instructions were probably a little too vague. Also, he is funny and a delight to be around. If you look at his resume you’ll realize how lucky we are to have him in Denver. Can’t recommend him enough!

You MUST go see Rhyan at Olivet. He gives the best haircuts I’ve ever had. He takes his time to learn about and listen to what your hair dreams are! He is so focused and attentive while he is cutting and styling, you can tell he really cares about his work. I’ve always walked away feeling so excited and beyond happy with his work. He is a hair wizard!!

Olivet has a nice atmosphere, and parking is super easy. Rhyan is an amazing stylist - and why I came to the salon. I have very thick, wavy hair and have never had it too long because it gets to be too much. But the way Rhyan cuts it lets me grow it out and finally have beautiful, long hair, without all the weight. He's an expert with a ton of credentials in hair styling- and I also just love hanging out with him each time I go in. He's a genuinely nice person and we laugh the whole time I'm there. I highly recommend him- especially if you have really thick hair.

Those 5 stars are for my hairdresser Rhyan Bledsoe, who I followed to Olivet from another salon. I drive 3 hours every 3 months to get my haircut. Rhyan is not only Vidal Sassoon trained, he studied the Jacques Dessange technique and worked at Frédéric Fekkai, who used to cut my hair in NYC. So, when I found Rhyan via a search, I knew I’d be in good hands. I am able to show Rhyan a photo reference of a cut that is technically difficult to achieve and he always does a beautiful job. And I'm so particular about who cuts my hair and how I want it cut. As a side note: I wish the salon's reception was a little more professionally run. They often don't answer the phone and/or get back to clients, so I try to book directly with Rhyan, as he is more reliable.

I love Olivet. Everyone is always so kind and the studio is super cute. I had not had my hair cut for a year bc I had so many bad experiences at different salons until I finally found Taylor at Olivet! She is absolutely amazing my hair is naturally curly and thick, but she cut it perfectly it began to grow back. She does the best job at styling my hair too after the cut! She does great with just telling her what you want, or showing pictures. I am so appreciative to have found Taylor and Olivet!

Jo is amazing!! I’m so happy I finally found my hairstylist. Jo really takes the time to understand what your hair goals are and will step-by-step let you know her process and how to achieve the color or cut you want. 10/10 would recommend! I also love this salon- very inviting and friendly. I love when salons offer wine, tea, or coffee- nice touch to feel extra fancy!

I got my hair done with Mia. She did an amazing job on my hair and it looked super good, the best it’s looked in a while. She understood exactly what I wanted even when I had a hard time communicating it. Overall a really great experience and a super good environment there. Olivet never disappoints.

What a great experience it is to lean back , have a moist towel on your face followed by the smooth good smelling gel and the feeling of a straight razor shaving your beard by a professional Barber/Stylist like Aero. Every man should enjoy this treatment at some point

i have found my hair god! Rhyan B was absolutely amazing. I came in not truly knowing what I wanted. he took the time to ask me what I like and don't like and explained and showed me as much as he could before we started. the whole time he continued to walk me through everything he was doing. he is very knowledgeable and is super easy to talk to! couldn't have asked for a better experience

This was my first appt w Jo after my former stylist moved several months ago. My hair was a long, strawlike mess. To make things worse, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with it. Jo took the time to understand what I like and didn't like, how high or low maintenance I want to be, and then offered a few options. She cut about 5 inches off my hair and added long layers and I could not love it more. I really appreciated her attention to detail and explaining next steps. Highly recommend!

As a women with REALLY short hair it's hard to find someone who knows what they're doing! Aero knows short hair and listens extremely well to what is desired and communicates the whole time. My husband also sees Aero so he really can do it all! If you're looking for precision, and an extremely nice person to cut your hair, go see Aero!

From trims to lobs, balayage to the most subtle highlights, embracing my natural curls to a smooth blowout, she nails it every time and always gives me the tips, tricks, and product recommendations to keep my hair looking great. And I love the salon she's at; Olivet is a beautiful space in a great neighborhood location.

I have been going to Mindy for years. Her new salon brings her years of experience to fruition. The salon is beautiful, welcoming and the stylists are skilled. Never had less than an excellent experience and I always receive compliments on my hair afterwards! I couldn’t recommend more highly!
