If you're gnc, make sure you book with a stylist that other gnc folks have had positive appointments with. One stylist was passive aggressive with me for getting a haircut that didn't fit my perceived gender. It was such a bad experience that I only go to lgbt+ friendly salons now.

Aleshia did my hair, and I was doing a pretty big chop which I was nervous about. The haircut itself is fantastic! Aleshia gave me a gorgeous bob and curtain bangs, and styled it very very well. She was also incredibly knowledgeable and educated me throughout the appointment about what she was using on my hair and why. She was also incredibly sweet and nice to talk to! Would highly recommend the Campus Salon and Aleshia to anyone!

I do not usually give reviews but this time I had to. This was the absolute worst haircut experience in my entire life and it was my third time in this place. Katie was the one who did this monstrosity. I told her that I want to chop of 4/5 inches of my waist-long hair. She agreed and chopped that hair right away. She said she would give me a proper cut after the hair wash and then she chopped off 12 inches of my hair!! YES, I repeat, 12 INCHES. Not only that, the haircut she was supposed to give me was long layer and it is nowhere near that. My hair in the back is now shorter than the front and my hair extremely uneven. I would definitely share my photos but as I wear hijab I can’t. I cried a lot after the haircut. Katie was very rude, not only to me but also to the other workers in the salon. She told me multiple times that she owns the place and I have this feeling that she purposely did that to me. I am this close to sue this person lol. Please avoid booking your haircut with this person if you want to save your hair. I would never ever go back to this place. Absolute nightmare.

Karen has been my biweekly stylist for over 4 years now. I am always satisfied with the results. She also does my daughters' and granddaughter's hair when they come to the area.

Bad Cut, even worse customer service! If you value your hair or money, BEWARE! Recently moved here and thought this would be convenient since all I wanted was a trim. The first time I went in the trim was fine, just a little too much off of the top. I advised this the second time I went in and again a little too much off the top. I'm not obsessed with my hair, so it really wasn't that big of a deal since hair does grow. Stupidly, I gave them another attempt. I advised that the last two times you took too much off the top. The stylist decided unilaterally to cut off all of the length. I was shocked when she made the first cut (nearly 2 1/2"). I now have a bob cut, even though I asked for a trim! Karen's response, "well at least the top doesn't seem too short anymore". I (again stupidly) paid, thinking that I've had a bob before, it will grow out, it's only hair. What I didn't realize at the time was how bad of a cut it was. Not only did she miss several pieces (which is how I know how much was cut off), but also it is completely UNEVEN! The left side is noticeably longer than the right side. I now have to pay another stylist to fix this mess. The worse part is when I notified the campus salon of the situation, radio silence! No offer to fix (which I wouldn't accept), no offer of a refund ....NOTHING! Bad Business, Bad Customer Service, Bad Stylist!

Go to Maya! I have been a faithful customer of Maya’s for over 8 years and I would never even dream of letting anyone else touch my hair. She has always worked with me to achieve my hair goals and always listens to how much I’m comfortable trimming ( I’ve got long thick hair). The campus salon is a lovely location and easy to access with great products- loved the shine spray used at my last visit. I would recommend visiting Maya at the campus salon to anyone!!

I feel like hairstylists should know that they have the ability to make someone feel beautiful and self-confident, but also very uneasy and self-conscious. Yesterday while getting my hair cut I admit I was a little indecisive with either keeping my length or going short again. In the end I clearly said "no shorter than the collarbone or shoulder area because I still want to be able to put it up in a ponytail." Kelly even held a piece in her fingers at my collarbone area to clarify. She started in the back and I could kind of feel where she was cutting, but didn't realize until she got to the front that she was cutting off all my hair at chin length, with the back hairline pieces only being about 2 inches long. I got home and looked at myself in the mirror and felt so self-conscious and not pretty, with that feeling coming again when I woke up to get ready for work. It's hair, it will grow back. I know I'm lucky to have hair at all and should be grateful for that. But for the next few months I dread the process of getting ready each day and trying to make myself feel "pretty" or "presentable." I didn't say anything to her afterwards because well, what was I supposed to say? "Umm excuse me, but please put 2 inches of that back on." I had gone to her back in July and LOVED the cut I got, so I was not hesitant about going back to her. But now I don't know what I will do when it comes time again to get a trim.

Maya did a fantastic job! Showed her what I wanted and we figured it out together! Took her time and did it just the way I wanted. Also got to talk to the other ladies that worked there. Super nice environment and 10/10 am going again.

Love this place. Katie is the best. What a great concept to have a salon on campus where students can pay with their 49ers cards.
