I had a great experience getting my hair done by Katie! She is so kind and thoughtful and checks-in throughout the appointment to make sure you’re getting the result you’re looking for. I’ve loved the way my hair grows out and maintains a beautiful shape and color! Great environment in the salon and decent parking.

I got my hair colored and styled by Katie and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. She was so patient and careful with the fine details and I really appreciated her work. We talked beforehand about my inspiration and she helped me figure out exactly how to get the style I wanted. Highly recommended. UPDATE: I got it dyed a little bit more and did one wash so far. Turned out great!

I can’t express how much I love this place I’ve went to about every big name barber in the city and this is one of the best hair cuts I’ve gotten ever. Beautiful shop with two floors all the staff and owner are super friendly and always goes above and beyond to ensure you get what you came in for. Can not recommend this place enough!!

Katie helped save my hair really last minute after a diy hair mess! It was a disaster and I’m very thankful for her expertise! It’s not very visible but before it was purple, brown, red, orange and a little bit of grey which was awful in real life! Thank you to Katie and I recommend her for color correction and dyeing :)

I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a reliable, consistant, and amazing cut or color. I booked with Bella looking for a quick cut last year and have been returning to her ever since because she has some kind of magic touch. I have NEVER seen my hair look this good! All of the stylists who work there create such an inviting and comfortable space to get services. I feel at home each time I visit!

My daughter has auburn hair and had been wanting all over blond highlights for some time. We had tried at other salons with less than ideal outcomes. Katie took the time do listen to my daughters desires and gave her the most beautiful natural looking all over highlights! She also got a haircut, and Katie did it with perfection! The price for nearly 5 hours was $300. Extremely reasonable! The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We felt welcome and at ease! Will not be going to any other salon now that we have found this gem! Zero upselling (she didn’t even ask us to purchase special products) upon leaving as well! ❤️❤️❤️

Transformed and Truly Thrilled! I recently had the pleasure of having my hair extensions done by Katie at One Creativity and Design Hair Salon in Portland, and I am absolutely over the moon with the results! All my life, I've struggled with thin hair, which really affected my self-esteem. But now, thanks to Katie, I'm flaunting a full, lush head of hair that has boosted my confidence sky-high. When she asked how much volume I wanted I joked with Katie about wanting my hair "turned up to 11" and she delivered spectacularly! Not only is the end result fantastic, but the process was enjoyable too. Let’s face it, sitting in a salon chair for hours can be a drag, but Katie made sure my experience was fun and comfortable, keeping me engaged and relaxed throughout. It’s not an exaggeration to say she’s given me not just incredible hair, but restored my confidence. I'm so pleased with my new look, I’m already planning my next visit. It’s absolutely worth it. Thank you, Katie, for making me feel gorgeous and confident. Five stars all around!

I just want to start off saying Katie is absolutely amazing and so so talented; I’m someone who has had trust issues with my hair for many years, but she both cut and dyed my hair blonde recently and it looks so good, like stunning. She’s incredibly talented, so patient and detail-oriented, has many years of experience, and has the best chill energy when you’re sitting in the chair. I’m definitely going to be seeing her for touch-ups and cuts for the foreseeable future, basically for any blonde or otherwise hair needs of mine lol, and can 1000% say you should go to her too. This entire salon is seriously a great/ dependable place to go, but Katie in particular works wonders and truly knows what’s up (and my trust issues are non-existent with her). She’ll make you look *stunning* too, hit her up!!

Okay, I've been getting my hair highlighted and colored for 20yrs... I used to pay $400 in NYC at a top salon and I can tell you right now that Katie does a 10x better job. Run, do not walk, to make an appt with her. She will genuinely listen to what you want and check with you every step of the way, and the process is never rushed. I really like that. I never feel like she's trying to hurry through my appt to get to the next one. She's like okay, this afternoon I'm doing YOUR hair. Settle in with some coffee, a good book, and bring your dog because the salon is dog friendly. My highlights are always so seamless and blended that when I walk out of there I look like I was born with that hair. She's truly a hidden gem in PDX and I almost don't want to share bc I know if she gets overbooked I'll never be able to get an appointment, but she's so good and such a sweetheart that she deserves the business! Oh and the whole salon is super queer-friendly and it's just in a beautiful, calming space with easy parking nearby!!

I cannot recommend Katie enough as a stylist and colorist! I’ve been going to her for cuts and platinum root touchups for a few months now. Katie is consistently thoughtful and communicative. Let me just say, this is a great salon. I went in for a haircut with Katie last week and it was such a good experience! She is the first person in years who has actually taken the time to ask questions and give me the exact cut I wanted. I have very fine hair, and she even gave me some ideas on how to style it to make it look fuller. I will definitely be back!
