Purchased the 90 minute deep tissue massage with the pain relief massage oil add on and had Virgil. I went with this option due to a tailbone injury a year ago that I am recovering from, and I wanted to try something new to find relief. I have not felt this good since before my injury, and it was such a great experience! Virgil let me know exactly what he was going to do throughout the process, adjusted to my problem areas, and took time to talk through where I was experiencing pain so as to not cause additional aggravation. I've been to OSDS before and never had a bad experience, but this one was definitely the best!

Wish I could give 0 stars. My wife and I had booked a couples massage here to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Even after confirming our appt, this place canceled it which we didn't find out until we showed up for our massages. They then blamed it on us and stated that someone else had the appt. As my wife and I were sitting in our car in disbelief, we watched the other couple walk into the building. Terrible business.

Editing my review to reflect the new location: It is clear that they attempted to elevate an empty office space, the rooms are clean and comfy. However, I have two large gripes with the new place. The overhead lighting is garbage and not spa-like at all, and there are no lamps in the room to allow for soft lighting. Post massage there was not an option for getting dressed and re-acclimated to "normal light" - would LOVE to see soft lamps in the rooms. Two, sharing a bathroom with the entire building is horrible and takes away any feeling of being at a "spa". It's outdated, tired, felt dirty due to age. The bathroom is TINY and it is awkward as hell to leave a room with a dewy face post facial and walk into a shared space with someone who just came from a Drs appt. Additionally, the bathroom stalls are not plus size friendly at all and it was such an awkward experience.... If you are of any significant size, go to the bathroom before you come. Photos uploaded, including the sign telling you to flush is a delight. If it were not for Madison and Sue or I would likely go elsewhere. Previous review: Love everything about this place! Fair pricing, clean, and easy to schedule. Sue does my brows and Madison does my massage and both are top notch. Highly recommend.

This is the first review I’ve ever left and I’m leaving it because it was honestly a terrible experience. I’ve had many facials and decided to get one here for the first time. Worst facial I have ever got. It was supposed to be a 45 minute facial. They were late and ended early. Never during my 20 minute facial did they actually rub my face. If you want crap put on ur face and then wiped off this is the place for you. The room was freezing and honestly not relaxing at all. Save your money and go somewhere else I wish I did.

I've been coming to this location several times a year for about 5 years now, and it only gets better each time. I've done done several different types of massages, including Ashiatsu, and I've never been disappointed! My usual is a 90 minute deep tissue with Johnny and as long as he's there I will never go to a different spa or person! Best place for a massage in the city!

Love this place. I have been coming here for years and have not had a bad experience. I've seen several different therapists, but I have stuck with Bradley. He does a great balanced massage (I would call it a mix between swedish and deep tissue) and seems to always know exactly what needs attention. He's very professional and always makes me feel very at ease. I would highly recommend this spa in general, but Bradley is the best!

Booked an appointment in advance for a Wednesday and got a reminder on the Friday prior saying "do not reply to this message". I also got a link to a new client form, which I filled out. I then got another reminder on Monday, this one saying reply Y to confirm or X to cancel. I did not see this part as it just popped up on my phone as a reminder and I remembered that I didn't have to reply last time. Wednesday arrives, I drive down on time only to be told I don't have an appointment. Apparently if you don't hit Y, it's just cancelled. No warning, no "hey if you don't reply we automatically cancel" or "hey your appointment was cancelled". So after setting aside time for this, and though they have a new client form from me and everything, my spot was last minute given to someone else. There are other places to go, with much better scheduling systems that don't waste your time.

Had couple massages with my daughter. They made sure that we were comfortable the whole time and focused on the areas that we said bothered us the most. We will be back again.

It is not that this place is bad. Just that we I did not get what I asked for/paid for? I specifically asked for deep tissue massage. What I got was a Swedish/hot stone massage. The nice lady giving the massage had the lightest touch. In some instances - I could have done that massage. My friend said the same even though she got the massage requested - the same lady just didn’t get in there. The facial - well it was more of just putting stuff on your face and wiping it off. No steam, no looking at your skin to look at pores or anything. My skins was plump and Dewey - just not the level of facial expected. I won’t go back.

UPDATE: had an amazing massage with Andrew in Grandview. He was so thorough and made me feel so taken care of from beginning to end. Asked all the right questions about problem areas and pressure, and did a great job throughout. -- I scheduled a 60 minute deep tissue massage and ended up receiving just under 50 minutes and barely any pressure. Felt like half of the session was applying oil. The therapist never asked about pressure preference in the session. Maybe there was a misunderstanding on the service scheduled? The receptionist was really friendly and asked how things went. I replied that the session wasn't an hour as scheduled. She was very apologetic and charged me for 45 minutes. This was after a bumpy scheduling process where I originally requested a 90 minute deep tissue, thought I had something scheduled but I got a call back saying there was a glitch and it was actually not available, so we settled on 60 minutes a few days later. After coming in for it, I'm a bit disappointed with how everything went.

I absolutely loved my facial from Sue! She did such a great job. Sue was very kind, and she made me feel so comfortable. It was so relaxing. My face felt so amazing afterwards. I live over 2 hrs away, and I will definitely go back again. Thanks Sue, you’re amazing! Btw: that was the first time I had ever met Sue :)

I booked for a 60 minute custom facial with Shania. She was very attentive and performed her job well. I felt relaxed and my skin is rejuvenated due to her great attention to detail and she also was a great help with helping me with my skin care goals.

Open Sky Day Spa is amazing and has always been amazing the staff treats you with kindness and they all are very professional I've had the Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, and the kind of massage where they walk on you their services are amazing and I will return five stars! Parking is easy access.

Payton has been amazing when it comes to my prenatal massages. He really helped me stay relaxed and work through the muscle aches as I entered the third trimester. I highly recommend him to expecting mamas and anyone new to the Open Sky.
