After trying our a couple places in the area, I’ve settled on Orbit with Miko Styles. He does a great job and pays really close attention to detail. Will definitely be coming back next time I need a new cut!

I hate to write a bad review, but feel it is appropriate for my experience. Let me preface by saying that my stylist was very nice and well intentioned! But right off the bat, I noticed the place felt very run down / messy. It didn't look like the photos / didn't show signs of being due to renovations either. My stylist dropped the scissor and also cut themselves while doing my hair, which is something I haven't experienced before. This didn't bother me, stuff happens. But it felt like the haircut was being rushed/ not careful. The hair styling looked good when I left the salon. However after sitting with it for a few days, it is definitely much shorter than we agreed on, especially once my hair wasn't styled straight. There is also a piece that is much longer than the rest of my hair if my part isn't exactly a straight line down my head. I also haven't experienced this before. The stylist was very kind and welcoming - I think it may have just been an off-day for them, but I unfortunately won't be going back to Orbit.

I have been coming here to see Gloria M. for almost a year for balayage, tone and cut. After 7 years of having virgin black hair, I decided it was time for some color and happy to have found Gloria who approaches coloring with such great care and transparency if I wanted to do certain colors. She provided tips on how to care for my hair in between appointments and has been easy. For my first color, I had a balayage done back in December 2020 (see photo in the green dress below) and then came back in late June to lighten my hair for more summer vibes (see photo with bangs below). Excited to come back in Fall for a fun purple color. I highly recommend Gloria with your hair needs. She is a very talented colorist and stylist.

I have been visiting this location, specifically for Miko’s cuts, for the past 2 years. Not only are the haircuts reasonably priced, they are also very high quality and incredibly consistent. 5 stars, every time.

This was my second time getting my hair cut by Miko. As always he was very thorough and accommodating, and gave me the exact style I was looking for. I'll definitely be coming back next time I need a trim!

I have followed Gloria M. for more than a decade and I am so glad she is back at Orbit. Her expertise in haircuts, color, perm, balayage and blow dry keeps me on trend and camera ready. I have worked on sets where the stylists complimented me and raved about my color and cuts from her. Gloria's customer service and attention to detail is above and beyond. I came in for a blow dry for head shots to submit for a job. When Gloria finished, she took pictures and the results for the head shots were fantastic. Thank you, Gloria. Thank you Orbit! I got the job too.

Miko is amazing with color! I had problems with my previous hair stylist who couldn’t get my hair the right shade of cool blond. For years I ended up with orange hair a long the hair line about a month after coloring. Miko got it right in the first try! My hair is the perfect shade of blond and it’s staying that way. I’m definitely coming back!

Miko is fantastic!! Highly recommend. I have a history of hairstylist that are not able to cut my hair how I like it, or comment on how thin my hair is, or try to get me to do something different to make it look better. I used to dread getting my hair cut... But then I met Miko and I won’t go anywhere else!! Very professional, always cuts it how I like it, and every time it looks AMAZING. He’s very kind and great company while getting my hair cut. I followed him from the wicker park location and it is worth the drive!

I have very long thick hair and could not find a stylist I could trust with my locks. Eddie is by far the best stylist that’s ever graced his fingers across my hair and worked his magic. Personally trained by Vidal Sassoon with decades of experience I have finally found my forever stylist. My hair was a mess and I would always wear it in a bun or pony tail cuz it never looked good down. Finally after Eddie cut my hair my mood lifted and I can finally wear my hair down with a huge smile and confidence! Over never been his happy about a hair cut in my life till now! I’ve been to Mario Tricoci I had my cut and color done there and I left highly upset from Mario Tricoci and never went back. Since then Ive been lost and it’s really hard to find a good stylist you can fully trust. To keep this short I want to thank Eddie and Orbit Salon for making me feel amazingly confident woman than ever before. You are my forever stylist!!!!

This is by far the best haircut I have ever had in Chicago. Thanks to Bobby not only just fixed my bad haircut from another salon, but also gave me a great haircut. I totally recommend this salon to everyone who wants to look fabulous in and out.

Gloria is terrific. Love her expertise in haircuts and color. I've followed her for years from other salons. Salon has friendly staff and nice atmosphere. -Bonus-next door NOLA (same owner) has delicious, inexpensive food specials.
