I did not have a good experience with Kerry (Russian manicure) yesterday. She was impatient and seemed to be annoyed by any adjustments I asked for about the nail shape and designs etc when I was not too sure what to get. She acted like I asked a million questions when I really did not. She sighed a couple times and was throwing the nail tools around with an attitude. She was rushing the whole time and I feel like she just wanted to get off work asap.

I’ve been coming here for the last 5 months and always have a great experience. The owner and staff are all so friendly, provide an excellent service, and are highly talented. I’ve definitely found my nail spot in my new neighborhood.

Have been to Osaka for several times and never disappointed! Kerry was amazing, together we created new colors when we couldn’t find the exact one in store. She’s always sweet and patient and open to suggestions. Love it!

Ellie did a very thorough job, checking in with me along the way if I liked the shape, etc. She did a great job getting the polish all the way down to the base of the nail too so that a few days later they still don’t look grown out at all like they often do with other places.

I had russian gel manicure by Mary and love it. It turned out beautifully and exactly how i wanted! She was very meticulous and gentle. I am on vacation here but would definitely come back when I am in Chicago again. 100% recommend!!!

I saw this place all over TikTok as the best spot for Russian manicures in Chicago and I was really underwhelmed. The manicure was average, and not on par with other Russian manicures I’ve gotten in the city for the same prices. The salon wasn’t very clean either, and my technician kept taking breaks to chat with a neighboring technician. I will not be returning.

I visited osaka beauty salon for a Japanese head massage, and I absolutely loved it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️The attention to detail and the professionalism of the therapist were clear from the start. The massage itself was incredibly relaxing, releasing all my tension and leaving me feeling refreshed. The salon has a cozy and calming atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and recharging. I’ll definitely be back, as it was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something new and achieve deep relaxation. I Prefaced the appointment saying my nails were thin and sensitive. (I Broke every finger on my left hand 10 years ago- not too crazy. I even spent two months without doing my nails to give them a break.) The Jr. Tec proceeded to say that she has never worked on someone with sensitive nails so i was patient and understanding when she was working. It took 2 hours to take my nail polish off, she gave up & said my nails were too thin to do a Russian Manicure. She nearly broke through my nail because she filed them down so far. After reminding her several times that my nails were slightly rigid she kept trying to smooth them out, even though I told her not to (my entire life this has never been a problem anywhere else), and as a result my nails are like paper now. I’ve gone to the salon once before, and the condition of my nails were not a problem. Now I have naked hands. Frustrated is an understatement.

I had a great experience getting a manicure at Osaka Beauty Salon! The staff was so friendly and made me feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is really nice, and my nails turned out perfect. The only small issue is that it's hard to get a same-day appointment because they’re always busy, but that just shows how good they are. Definitely worth the wait – I’ll be coming back!

I had a great experience overall at this salon, but sadly, I won’t be returning. I had been getting no-chip Russian manicures and decided to give my nails a break. Concerned about damaging them during the removal process, I opted to have one of their technicians remove the gel for me. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a bad decision. The tech used an electric drill, going over my nails multiple times, and then roughly filed them. As a result, my nails were incredibly sore and painful for two weeks. Even a month later, as shown in the attached photos, my nails remain irritated. I’d strongly suggest that the nail techs explore gentler methods for removing no-chip polish. While I would recommend this salon for manicures, I can’t say the same for their pedicures, which I found to be mediocre for the price.

Got a Mani/Pedi for myself and my bf. Easy to find, friendly staff, but not the least bit organized. I had to ask twice to sit together. The second time was because they sat me down, sat him down across the salon, and then started on him! I got up with the nail colors. One thing that was a bit unnerving was how silent everything was.. other salons are bustling, full of chit chat. It was creepily silent here and the receptionist was like, whispering?? people just wearing headphones and not talking *at all.* Might be a god send if you're noise sensitive 🤷‍♀️ Actual manicure- best Russian style prep ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've had here in the city. Polish application was great except they didn't cap the tips, I did so at home with my own top coat... Pedicure- quick, basic. Nothing special. Men's manicure- they seemed unsure of how to do a man's manicure.... Have they never met black/African men?? Some basic education on this could go a long way to provide a good *and basic* service. Overall- basic and silent. Wasn't offered any water or anything. In and out without talking to people.

This was my first time here at Osaka Beauty Salon and to my surprise they just gained another customer. Mary was gentle and did an amazing job on my nails. Looking forward to my next nail and toe appointment.

Went expecting a really good experience and it was almost that. My boyfriend paid 75$ for gel nails and art and it came out beautifully. I however was only able to get the senior nail artist because that was who they had and it was 70$ and I had to request a refund for the art because it was not up to par on what the reviews and pictures showed. I like the place, they were nice and the salon itself is pretty just be careful on who you book and make sure to stand up for yourself.

My girl Aidai has been my nail tech for the last year (since I first met her at a previous salon) and I'm so proud of her for opening up her own business! This is now the only place that I will ever get my nails done. The Russian manicure is incredible and lasts for over a month with no chipping! For years my nails used to break off, but since getting consistent manicures, I've been able to grow out my natural nails to where I don't even need tips anymore! My nails are so healthy and strong now. I get mine done every month and the quality of the work is unmatched. Her team of nail techs also do a great job! And I love supporting a female owned and operated business🤍 in all these photos these are my natural nails!

Osaka has been my favorite salon in Chicago! My Russian manicure typically lasts 3-4 weeks and the staff is incredibly detail oriented. Everyone is treated like family there. Truly an all around amazing experience! You will not be disappointed.
