I received the worst treatment from the only 2 females that were working this evening! Your stylist got upset and defensive just from me asking her about the iron she was using on my hair. She rushed through my blow drying, and I have natural, thick hair. She kept swinging me around in the chair aggressively and she didn't get my hair straight, had the nerve to charge $100! You lost a 15 year customer!

If I could give establishment zero stars, I would. The time they have posted say it closes at 7pm, but I came at 5:40pm and the lady looks at the clock and says they are closing at 6pm today. It’s always some kind of excuse of why I can’t be serviced.

The shampoo lady was wonderful let me start there and it was her birthday so birthday to her but I hate my hair 100$ for what I could have done at home. I’m so disappointed the lady that trim and style my hair rushed through the whole thing and used plug in flat iron which has my hair smelling, burnt and dirty The only reason why I ended up at the shop is because my regular guy retired and move back to Egypt. I am so upset.

I'm writing this review like 10 years too late, but it's taken me this long to realize how good Moshe (Moses) was/is as a hairstylist. The overall customer service at Osama and Days when I visited about 10-12 years ago far exceeds and experience at a salon that I have had in recent years. I lived 2 hours away from this Salon, but I booked an appointment based on reviews from friends. Worth every penny!!! I don't know if Moses is still there or anyone from back in the day, but hands down one of my best salon experiences.

Site says closed at 4, arrived at 3:20 and was told no for service “because they’re closed” even though I called and was told I could come. Wasted money and time getting there, won’t be back. If your site says 4 but you’re all packed up ready to leave at 3:20 why not just update the site to closing at 3? Or when I called earlier in the day simply say “we won’t accept anyone past 3”? Huge waste of money and inconvenience

I’ve been going here since I was a sophomore in High School. I’m now a junior in college. They used to keep the integrity of my natural hair. My hair would ALWAYS revert back curly. This was back when the black gentleman would wash my hair. The last time I went I had to ASK for heat protectant. My hair is nearly bone straight in the front. I grew my hair out back out from blonde over the past two years and now I have to do it again (about 6-7 inches of hair growth gone to waste). Really disappointed. Sad to see the quality and ethics of this place change. I don’t even have the energy in me to cry. It is what it is I guess. *The last photo is my curl pattern right before I went to the shop.

I went to get my hair done 3-18-24. The shop was very clean and I was seen right away. The ladies were very friendly and professional. I plan on going back and make this new shop. Fatima styled my hair and Im in love with it

I have been coming to this salon for years. They never disappoint. She tells me you need a trim. I do it. They take there time washing your hair. They listen to your wants and needs. I will continue to see them.

I literally just walked in because someone told me to try them out for my natural hair and this Arabian or Indian looking lady came out from the washroom maybe wearing a pink top. She stood several feet’s away from me like she was scared to communicate services yet you’re in a black neighborhood or should I say gentrified. I asked what she could do to my natural hair and she’s asking me to check the price behind me like lady! You’re the only one in an empty shop and you’re not enthusiastic with a customer. Nahhh never again, BYE! and I really wished her energy connected and I could’ve just done the hair and she makes her. 70+ $ .. I dislike the fact that in a country of diversity people still scared of color.

One trick pony, and the trick isn’t great! They aren’t experienced in black hair. They use excessive damaging heat from a blow dryer and round thistles brush to straighten along side uncomplimentary products. They penalize patrons by charging EXTRA to black clients with natural hair unless you have a dangerous chemical relaxer in your hair. This speaks volumes. They don’t know how to treat natural hair. Your hair will be damaged and limp after 1 day. These places like ossamas as, yehias, cleopatras etc… don’t research this hair type and don’t respect the communities they set up in. Go to experienced stylists with the same hair type as you.

The owner is as incompetent & inconsiderate as his staff. I checked in w him to inform him of my unwanted big chop incident; to which he tried to gaslight me into believing it's my fault that his stylist CHOPPED OFF MY HAIR! **THIS WAS NOT A MISCOMMUNICATION. I WAS BLATANTLY IGNORED BY THE STYLIST/ MANAGER & GASLIT BY OSSAMA HIMSELF INTEAD OF HIM TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS UNCARING STAFF*** Ossama himself has created an uncaring environment. The manager WATCHED ME CRY FOR 2 HRS & NEVER CHECKED IN ON THE ISSUE (like Black- owned shops do) He uses Black faces in the shop's images & has 1 Black stylist (who ruined my hair) but HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK CUSTOMERS, THEIR HAIR, OR CREATING SOLUTIONS. *speaking from experience * They chopped off my hair. I went in for a simple split end cut on my natural afro (they told me they could do this on the phone prior to my arrival) & left with about 2cm of hair around my back/ sides with about 3in left on top. The male stylist did what he wanted instead what I specifically requested. They don't clean their tools between clients. It took 5 washes to get the odor of permed/burned hair out of my hair.

I have gone to this shop before and Enas or whatever her name is, I liked my hair, so I prepaid her for 2 visits. She gave me a card confirming what I paid for. I was in an accident, and couldn't walk, so once I was healed I bought the card to her, to get my hair done, she told me it expired., and I only had a certain amount of time to come back to get hair done, that I had already prepaid her for. But you didn't tell me that when I gave you my $125, that it had an expiration date. I explained to her that I was in an accident and couldn't come get my hair done. She didn't care. One day I came in and she wasn't there, and the guy that is in the front of the shop did my hair, sorry but he is the only one I will let do my hair, he knows how to do some hair, besides he does a much better job than her anyway, and he's much more professional. We leave reviews for her, and she doesn't care. All she says is thanks. $125 is what she gained of my hard earned money. Yes that happened a year or so ago, it was because she didn't want to do my hair, and not get paid at the time, when I had already prepaid her $125. I will walk into her shop and not even speak to her. She has a very big ego, and all she care about is making the money. I try to go on days she not there, I wish the guy , whatever his name is open his own shop, he's a much much better stylist than her. The shop got 3 stars because of the guy stylist, NOT ENAS. He deserves 5 stars, but because of her, it only get 3, she deserves 0 stars because of her lack of professionalism.

I’ll never go back here my hair still look like trash And the lady who was doing my hair told me $55 plus $10 for a curl but charge me $85 like who charge 85$ for a wash and set only my hair is not even that long Rip off because it was Easter Then when I talk to the manager she was being very unprofessional and only offered to give me $10 back when y’all was the one who overcharged me never again go somewhere they not good anymore

Good service for people with natural hair. They have the ability to get your hair straight without chemicals. Even permed hair is done with care. They do a variety of styles to look professional. Not the place for unique, exotic or out of this world Pattie Labell shop looks. Simple wash n blow dry. You can get in and out in a little more than a hour. Walk Ins welcome. Parking challenging but possible.

They will have your hair looking AMAZING! Outstanding service! Enas and Fatima were great! Enas is a brilliant stylist who knows exactly what you need for your specific haircare situation. Fatima prepped me and was amazing! I was in and out in an hour! Prices are market value. True professionals making haircare look easy! Parking in Hyde Park can be tricky but you can always find something. They know how to do hair!
