After searching for a salon in NYC for months, I found not only the best salon but the MOST talented, friendly and genuine stylist I could ever image. Gigi has perfected the blonde I have desired for years and always makes me feel at home at every appointment. With her "no challenge she cant handle" motivation and excellent customer service, I will always be one of her clients and let everyone know about Palms Salon. Gigi also has helped my hair become healthier than ever by recommending the incredible products they offer.

I had a great experience for the 2nd time with Vanessa! I'm a blonde with very fine hair and have had bad experiences in the past with hair damage/breakage after getting my hair dyed at other salons. I'm getting married soon and Vanessa made me feel super comfortable and listened to what I wanted. She really cares about hair health and will not recommend treatments that could damage your hair. Will definitely be returning for balayage again with Vanessa!

I had the pleasure of getting a blowout from Sarah and I was thrilled with the entire experience. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. She took the time to discuss exactly what I wanted and totally made it happen! Not only was the blowout perfect, it lasted almost a week without me needing to touch it up at all! I cannot recommend her enough. You and your hair are in great hands with Sarah. I will be visiting her again VERY soon and have been encouraging all my friends to do the same!

Ariel is a hair genius. He has given me hands down the most natural looking balayage I’ve ever received, and I’ve ventured into quite a few salons in my day. I also want to note that he’s *consistently* excellent - you don’t have to worry about the color being great one time you go and iffy the next. He’s truly exceptional at his craft. Ariel is the best!!! I have been going to him for two years now and 100% trust him with my hair. He helped me get to the blonde I always wanted and I receive so many compliments on the coloring. I also have pretty curly hair and he does a great job cutting it so it has the perfect shape and isn’t boxy. Getting my hair done with Ariel is always a 10/10 experience and the salon has a great vibe. You won’t be disappointed!

I can not explain how much I now love this salon. I had a cut earlier in the day at a different salon and my bangs were NOT the vibe. I found palms salon and they took me 45 mins before closing with no appointment. Gigi SAVED my hair. She was so personable and also made sure I knew how to style them outside the salon on my own. I can confidently say that l've found myself a new salon!

I had an amazing blowout from Mark at Palms Salon. The salon itself is such a wonderful refuge from the hustle and bustle in the city. Mark knew EXACTLY what I was talking about for my blowout. He also has curls himself so he understood the nuances, pain points and best handling to get that super silky look I wanted which I can tell will hold me through the week!

I had such a fantastic experience with Sarah at palms salon. I came in with overdue roots And she was kind enough to make it work and do a beautiful cut and color. The environment and staff are lovely and I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend requesting Sarah if you have any bright colors or cute pixie cuts.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sarah!! I had a terrible wonky cut from another studio and she fixed it up so well!! She’s such a breath of fresh air. Love their hair perfume as well! BANGIN smells banginnnnnn 🥰 I asked for a shape up and that’s exactly what I got. No surprises. No guessing. Sarah listened and gave her expertise which I loved. Will be back in 3 months for a trim

I’m always so scared to get my hair cut at a new place, but Vanessa was SO reassuring and really took her time getting to know my hair and what I wanted. The cut looks amazingg and she gave me a ton of reccomendations for hair styling too. The salon was also really cute and everyone was extremely nice. I 100% would recommend and definitely will be coming back!! I came back to do my bangs & color and absolutely love it!! Have full trust in Vanessa!

To say I am ecstatic about my hair color at The Palms Salon today would be an understatement! I feel compelled to admit I have been to so many “popular UES salons” over the decades, and just was never “happy” with the color I got. I learned about The Palms & Vanessa on a Marie Claire review, and was so impressed with her many current, outstanding reviews. Quite frankly, I have never seen any other stylist/colorist so generously reviewed. I knew from the moment Vanessa greeted me at the door, I would like her. She is so warm, down to earth, bright & simply overall fabulous. And ,after 3 hours, when she finished, I was 100% confident I had made the best decision to have my color done by her. Blonde can be hard to get right but Vanessa has been amazing at creating a shade that compliments my skin rather than going against it while seamlessly growing out. Elsewhere in the past I hated my roots showing and felt like I had to get them touched up every few weeks, but she is really skilled at blending it all together in a way where even with months of growth, it looks natural without harsh contrasts. Thank you Vanessa for making being blonde feel effortless!

Ariel is a GEM! I made an appointment in desperation after another salon did a very bad dye job. I truly believed that my hair could not be saved but Ariel sweetly and patiently walked me through the process of toning down the color and turning me from a brassy blonde to a "very expensive brunette". The color looks great, especially after Ariel's expert styling. I look forward to the next time that I'm in his chair.

Found this salon randomly and decided to take a chance - I am blown away by the results! Marc cut my hair and he delivered exactly what I asked for. He was very kind, communicative and paid close attention to detail, walking me through every step of the process while checking in asking me how I was feeling. The before and after pictures speak for themself! The salon itself has a great ambience with great music selection too. I would recommend Palms to anyone looking to get their hair done by true professionals!

Had a haircut and blow dry with Gigi and it was fantastic! She helped revive my hair which was really dry and hadn’t been cut in a long time. She gave me the exact haircut I wanted and great advice for keeping it healthy. Will definitely be back! Update: went back and confirmed that Gigi is my go to! She asks a lot of questions at the beginning of the appointment about how I usually wear my hair and made recommendations on how to best achieve the look I was going for in the inspo pic I showed her. Definitely still recommend!!

Ariel is amazing! He was very patient and really took the time to listen to what I was hoping to achieve for my hair (mainly, less muddled blonde, and hydration and health). He gave me a very thorough and thoughtful hair plan that addressed my hair concerns. My hair came out amazing! Feels healthier and brighter. He’s very knowledgeable about hair and very skilled with blonde highlighting. Also really appreciated that Ariel didn’t manage multiple hair appointments at the same time, and really dedicated his time to each client. Highly recommend Palm Salon and Ariel!

Ariel my only regret is that I didn't find you sooner. Thank you for working your magic. I'm going to keep the review short and sweet but the salon is conveniently located near the bus and train, the inside is beautiful, all of the staff members are so warm and welcoming. Ariel is a magician he saved my hair from a bad haircut, took his time to asses my hair, gave me reccs on everything hair related and did such a wonderful job. So wonderful that I told him I wanted to switch up my color and he showed me an inspo pic of a color I LOVED and I am SO EXCITED to try it. I told him I would come back in March so he could work his magic once again. He is incredible and I left so so happy. Thank you, Ariel! I will hopefully see you soon!

I was in NYC for 24 hours and desperately needed my hair cut before heading out on a vacation. I was able to book an appointment with Ariel for a cut and keratin treatment and am so glad I did! Ariel gave me the perfect cut and was meticulous with my keratin treatment. I have very long, thick, and coarse hair and have often had hair stylists act annoyed at how long it takes to dry or straighten my hair, but Ariel took his time and was so fun to hang out with too! I live on the West Coast, but am already looking forward to flying back in a few months for my next haircut!

OBSESSED!!!! Vanessa always hooks me up!! I went once before in September and haven’t gotten it cut since. I contemplated going somewhere else but I hate getting bad haircuts and I absolutely loved the last one she did so I had to go back. Highly, highly recommend this quaint and stylish place. She not only is talented and professional but such a sweetheart I feel so comfortable with her and she’s super easy to talk to. She follows whatever your inspo is and gives tips where needed. The way she layered my hair gives it so much more volume and body and my hair can be pretty thin. I think I found my New York spot for haircuts!! 💖💖💖💖
