Bernard is the best hair stylist in the city. He masters in color, highlights, cuts, proten treatments, hair masks, hot oil treatments, and healthy hair care styles. He serves clients that have both natural hair and hair with perm/relaxers. My hair has grown and thrived under Bernard's hair care. I have been a client of Palucci's Hair Salon for 20 years and I'm so glad I found him. I wouldn't trust anyone else with the delicate job of taking care of my hair.

I wouldn’t trust this man and his assistant to water my plants. If you are a black woman with type 4+ hair stay away from this establishment. It’s been 14 months and I’m still recovering from the heat damage and trauma that he did. As someone known to have healthy thick hair I left with fried hair that was straight in certain areas once I washed it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he responded trying to shift the blame or just in a nasty way overall. Especially with the colorist comments that he made about wanting to “loosen my curls” despite the fact that I came for a blowout and trim. Black women with type 4 please stay away. We work hard to have the healthy thick course kinky mane and he despises that. Maybe he should stick to the relaxers and chemical treatments but natural hair is a no for him.

Bernard, the owner, is a natural born stylist and colorist. Cuts are besutuful. He takes care of your hair. Works with you to correct damage that you may have before coming to him. Uses quality products.

Bernard Askew of Palucci Hair Salon at 20 East and Glenwood Avenue is without a doubt, the best hair artisan I have ever encountered. He is a master colorist and a precision cutter. No in and out with Bernard. He gives each client the time needed for a flawless look. He is like a hair doctor, I promise you he will get your hair back healthy if it's damaged. Highlights are his specialty and percission cutting. Bernard has being doing my hair for over 30 years. I've left a few times to try a new stylist but, I always come back. No plug in curling irons, no box perms and advanced salon grade color. Our hair is the most important thing we wear. Therefore, if you want healthy hair, professional color, high or low lights, repair of over processed or damaged hair, visit Palucci Hair Salon and Bernard Askew will make you smile again. He is a master at this business of hair. Remember no in and out, and he is not cheap, but affordable. Go for it ladies we deserve to spoil ourselves. I plant my word on it.
