Carly was the best! I wasn't entirely sure what I even wanted and she was able to figure out a great haircut for me. The vibes at the salon overall were also immaculate. 10/10 would recommend coming here!

Seriously this place is the definition of San Diego vibes! Everyone there has a special place in heaven ! They are ALL so nice :), my wife gets her haircut every week there and I think she goes for non haircut reasons but just to connect with the stylist there. They do amazing work , she looks sooooo fine after :)! I love this place , can’t say enough good stuff here! Wish I could meet the owner because I have soooo many positive things to say :)

Alison gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. Got bangs for the first time and she walked me through every step. She was super thorough and very detailed.

Maya was amazing!!! She was fun to talk to and I loved my hair afterwards! I got a balayage and she was able to take into account the other colors I had from previous dyes. I’m very happy with the results!

I got my hair cut and colored by Stephanie and she is absolutely incredible. She truly wants you to be happy and asks questions, wants to understand your goals with your hair and is so frikking talented. I am moving back to Seattle soon and will 10000% fly in just to see Stephanie because I trust her so much! I got an all over darker color and this is the first time I haven't felt like someone made me super harsh but also achieved my exact dream hair. If I could give more than a 5 star I would! Highly recommend!! 🤍

I highly recommend the Paper Doll Salon and their stylist Braylin. My hair is short making it a challenge for many stylists, but Braylin does a fabulous job. She listened to what I asked for and matched my request perfectly. Braylin is professional, but also lighthearted and a true pleasure to speak with during the cut.

I entered with trepidation, being new to the area and in desperate need of a haircut. My hair is quite wavy and fine, and in the humid ocean air, it looked like I had put my hand in a socket. My stylist, Cindy Gettys, did a fantastic job on my roots and gave me an amazing shoulder-length shag. The pricing was very reasonable, and her cut has revived my curls beautifully. Highly recommend!

I had the most incredible experience with Maya, a vivid and corrective color stylist! she's not only crazy talented and creative, but she's also super easy to vibe with. Her creativity is seriously next level, and she knows how to make my hair pop with all the vibrant colors I love! But you know what really stands out? The space she creates. She creates this amazing safe space where I feel completely seen and heard. It's like she just gets me! If you're on the hunt for a stylist who will make you feel like a million bucks and truly understands your style, she's the one to go to. Trust me, Maya is your stylist, you won't regret it! Plus check out this color, with the tips and tricks she shared I am able to make my color last, maybe a little too long.

I come here for Sarah! She has been doing my extensions for awhile and I wouldn’t have anyone else. She is particular to detail and takes special care. I have a large scar left over from multiple head surgeries and extensions have saved my life. Sarah does an incredible job, making me feel confident and taken care of. I highly recommend her and this salon!!

Sarah is my go to girl for anything hair! I’ve been to other stylist in San Diego for my blonding prior to finding Sarah and I’m never leaving. I trust her completely to not only give me a gorgeous color, but keep my hair healthy. I’ve been a blonde for over a decade and once Sarah took over my hair care, my hair has been the strongest, shiniest and healthiest it’s ever been! She is so knowledgeable in her craft and I am so thankful to have her not only as my stylist, but as my go to person for any maintenance questions I may have when I’m not in the salon. She is truly the best!

I highly recommend Ryan for color, cuts, and bridal beauty (hair and makeup)! In the past couple of years, Ryan has taken me from brown, to brown with blonde balayage highlights, to super blonde balayage, to a light brown (with dimension), and back to my natural color (with dimension) for my wedding day when I told him I wanted to feel the most myself. He is so incredibly talented and made me feel like an absolute Hollywood, goddess, princess on my wedding day. We had done a trial before hand so he knew what to bring and he came super prepared to pamper me on my big day. I was so relaxed getting my hair and makeup done by him. I recommend Ryan for any of your hair and beauty needs. He is so skilled and professional, and has the best personality – I love hanging out with him while he glams me up!

I made an appointment here with Jaclyn for a partial highlight. I told her I wanted a basic partial with a money piece. She looked me up and down with attitude and said she was ‘better at working with thinner pieces and would be happy to reschedule me with someone else’. Anyone that knows color is aware that you highlight a variety in size of pieces depending on the look you want. It was a completely demeaning and awful experience for me.. I left in tears. I have long blonde hair - by beauty standards it is considered to be beautiful. I cannot believe someone at a HAIR salon would treat someone like this.. for having beautiful hair or something? Sadly that was the weird vibe I got. Maybe try this place but I definitely would not recommend Jaclyn for anything.

Adorable salon with the nicest staff! My mom and I came in for blowouts as a little TLC during a tough time and our appointment was everything I hoped for. Nikki was our stylist and she was amazing - talented, sweet, and very considerate. We left feeling refreshed and fabulous :)

Lisa Blackwell is the only person I’ve trusted with my hair for over 7 years. She is a phenomenal colorist whether you want a more natural look or vibrant rainbow locks. At this point I just let her make most of my hair decisions and she always leaves me with gorgeous, healthy hair. I cannot exaggerate the amount I’d compliments I get from strangers about my hair color, which is always something in the red/purple family. The actual salon is bright and open, and they always have beers and kombuchas on tap for clients to enjoy. I love the lines of products they use and carry. Just do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Lisa!!

Ryan Alexander is amazing and so talented! I visited San Diego for a very good friend’s wedding. It was my first time going to PaperDoll Salon. I found them online when I was in search of a dry style before the wedding. I’m not very good at styling my own hair so I made an appointment for a dry style with Ryan and he transformed my hair! I got many compliments! My hair held up all day and I felt like Ryan gave great suggestions and new all the hair tricks to create perfect beach waves and volume. Wish I had a salon like this closer to home.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The salon was clean, the stylists were extremely nice and I got exactly what I paid for! Will definitely be going back
