Excellent customer service. The owner and Master Stylist, Tasheara Neshell was very knowledgeable about the texture of my hair and how to treat it. I trust her opinions and techniques. I left her salon with moist and hydrated hair. Plus, my cut and color was executed perfectly. Can’t wait to return in two weeks for maintenance.

I started seeing Tasheara in January of 2021 to embark on a creamy crack free journey! I was impressed with her knowledge and passion for natural hair. I soon began to bring my daughter and we routinely came every two weeks. I received a shampoo,condition, steam treatment and silk press. I explained on my first visit that I prefer straight hair and asked would there be an issue with getting a press every 2 weeks. She advised ot wouldn't as long as protective measures were taken. Fast forward to May and I'm noticing my hair is completely straight after a shampoo without any heat being applied. I mentioned this to her on previous occasions and she never showed concern so I didn't either. When I combed my hair the next day I had lots of it in the comb...and also the day after. I sent the pictures to Tasheara and she explained it was probably due to the heat and I should come back on for a protective style and cut. A section of my hair on the back has broken off completely! Never did this professional say a word about it. I informed her that I no longer trusted her to attend to my hair and her response was to blame it on me. She explained as follows:"All due respect Courtney, I have provided basic care services to you , only two times per month. That's 2 out of 30 days that you've sat in my chair for a cleanse, conditioning and press. Now what you do to you hair at home the remaining 28 days plays a major part in any hair problems you are having. I also discussed with you to lay off the heat but you said that you don't care about keeping curly hair. I do understand that you wear straight clips ins when not in the salon. There could be many causes to tour breakage but seeing me is not one of them. " I guess in her mind not caring about curly hair equals I want damaged hair that falls out when I combed it🤦🏽‍♀️ The purpose of me going every 2 weeks was to head off any problems that may arise and not end up having to do another big chop under the care of a professional. My daughter did not have this issue as she didn't use direct heat at any time due to her own bad experience of heat damage at a salon. This was a traumatic and disappointing experience. I thought I had found a good stylist with integrity and I was shown otherwise. ***I gave MY experience. At no time did I decline alternatives. The fact that you are guessing about what I do at home shows that you didn't discuss a home regimen. Had you asked I would've told you I don't put heat in my hair after I get it pressed. I declinied coming back to you after you saw the extent of damage and did NOTHING! Doctor's are to do no harm since you tried to make the comparison. A good doctor doesnt perform services that are harmful even if the patient is requesting it. I'm not going to keep arguing with a liar. How does it benefit me to have unhealthy hair? Your lies make no sense at all. If you can read and comprehend I said my daughter didn't have any problems. If sabotage was my intention I would have said differently than giving you credit for doing something right. You dropped the ball this time. It happens, but have a backbone and own up to it. Which is clearly something you struggle with.

Miracle worker! Tasheara has single handedly taken my hair from short, relaxed, bleached, and damaged to long, thick, silky, and HEALTHY. When I started going to Tasheara, she slowly trimmed my relaxed bleached hair away with each appointment and I could immediately see improvement in my hair. If you're looking for a natural hair salon, you should definitely give Park Avenue Curls a try. The service is excellent, and the salon space is impeccably clean (and stylish!). Tasheara will take excellent care of your curls, and also educate you on the best way to care for them. She is also very professional and doesn't overbook. So far, I've gotten a silk press and a flexirod set, and I loved the result each time!
